Richard Dawkins may disagree do I care? If it is Illusory I don't care either because I tell you what Jimmy it feels darn good my son but it's not something you'd understand as you have no life experience and no reference point so come back when you can relate.

I'man atheist Lad, I don't believe in a deity but I don't belittle others for believing for me there are too many wholes and questions in the notion of a deity although it's not an impossibility as it's not been proven either way.

I provided logical proofs for the existance of a diety. They are in this thread, and the other thread we are cooresponding in titled "homosexuality". I'm curious as to what these wholes or questions are...

Yes my friend many questions must be asked indeed. I wouldn't like to see this go in a more dangerous way. It is truly in the seeking that the Truth is found, wouldn't you say?

What does emotion have to do with meaning, purpose, etc? Just because we feel something to be true, it does not by neccesity become true.

My friend, people aren't won to Jesus Christ by logical proofs for the existance of a diety. Only by the Holy Spirit drawing them.

I did not say yes or no. I asked what was the relevancy.

EDIT: I know of no human who does not possess the capacity for emotion.

Ramon yes it's always the goal to find the truth and Jimmy you can't prove the existence of "God" If we had proof there would be no doubt and the world would be united in the same beliefs.

This is faulty reasoning. There is proof that the earth is round, but people still believe it is flat. Good logical proofs, don't always covince. Humans by nature are not logical thinkers.

Depends on how you mean the word "prove". What would you consider to be proof?

I want to know what point there is to feeling an emotion. Sure, it feels, but it is not an indication of reality. You can feel your life is important, but without God, there is no inherent value to life of any sort.

Opinions don't make facts. No opinion in and of itself is valid. I know what sin feels like, and my flesh seeks it. Life is a battle against the persuits of the flesh. For they are just like alcohol to the alcoholic. The drunk man often prefers to be drunk rather than sober, as sobriety brings to the fore-front the painful truth of reality.
