I've searched and can't find a single "prophet" who saw this coming. I don't consider myself a prophet but I had a strong hunch it would happen. Why no word from God about this?

I don’t think every human event is recorded In Prophecy is most likely why just the ones significant to Gods plan until Christ returns
I saw on YouTube some prophet guy explaining Putin was hearing from God and would never invade Ukraine like people feared it was posted on you tube three days before he invaded Ukraine
it was a spectacle type thing the big show they put on but his words were proven wrong three days later

We are seeing the build up before they are brought down to the mountains of Israel for judgment.
The Bible does talk about related things. What we are seeing is a confrontation between the "Old New World Order" and the "New New World Order."
The Old NWO is the West, with America (Mystery Babylon) at the center. The leadership of this bloc are Luciferians. I am not being figurative.
The NWO needs a "bad guy" in order to continue consolidating their power and influence. They have made Russia into that bad guy and backed Putin into a corner.
In the Scriptures, we see that the Whore of Babylon at first rides upon the Terrible Horned Beast, but then the Terrible Beast turns, burns her with fire, and devours her flesh.
This is a shift in power from one world system to another.
What is the Terrible Horned Beast of Revelation? It is a coalition of Eastern powers that will one day become the Antichrist's kingdom. Russia will be at the head of this coalition for a time.
I think it is a near certainty now that Russia and China are going to form an alliance and become the core of that Eastern coalition of powers. Ironically, once they destroy the Whore of Babylon - America - this rising Eastern bloc will become the New New World Order, just as corrupt, in time, as the Old NWO, more overtly militaristic, more overtly anti-Christian.

I don't claim to be a prophet, but I saw this coming back in 2014. In fact I fully expected Putin to annex all of Western Europe, given how feckless their leadership is. In a sense he has Western Europe under his thumb, since they chose to become dependent on Russia for oil and gas. Can you imagine? And then the UK opened its arms wide to Putin and all the kleptocratic oligarchs from Russia, who bought up huge parcels of valuable real estate in London, and parked billions in Western banks. While the Russian mafia established itself in America.
What is God supposed to say? He has already revealed how things would end for the age of man. This is just another result of a depraved creation.
It has occurred to me that as we draw closer to the return of our Lord, mankind will be allowed to perpetrate all the evil he dreams up within the parameters of the fulfillment of the ultimate end accorded by our Father.
If it is necessary for rampant and obvious evil of mankind without regarding his Maker to increase for the last of those to be saved is achieved, then we must practice to endure to the end with this evil for those who are yet to be saved.
This by no means is to be interpreted that we should not pray for all mankind until all has been finished.
I did a search. I get a lot of 'Bible prophecy' videos, like one from Greg Laurie. If there is one on YouTube, you are going to have to do some digging. Filters do not filter out the previous week's content as far as I can tell. Google used to be an effective search engine. I doubt the dates work if you know how to use them. Even if you dig past the pages of ads, the search results usually aren't what you were looking for. In the past, you could do a site search with a key word and pull up a page.
But where are all the modern-day prophets who supposedly talk directly to God on a daily basis? They seem oddly silent. It would've been great to know the day and the hour Russia was going to invade.
I dont know where they are now but I know when this is over they will be out in force claiming all is as they claimed.

That is because he is the one who instigated Putin, while showing his total inability to handle any issue. That was not prophecy but deliberate manipulation.
Because all of the modern-day "prophets" only speak "smooth things" to us (cf. Isaiah 30:10).

In Ezekiel 39:9 “‘Then those who live in the towns of Israel will go out and use the weapons for fuel and burn them up—the small and large shields, the bows and arrows, the war clubs and spears. For seven years they will use them for fuel. 10 They will not need to gather wood from the fields or cut it from the forests, because they will use the weapons for fuel. And they will plunder those who plundered them and loot those who looted them, declares the Sovereign Lord.
The nuclear fuel used in some of these weapons can be used for seven years to generate power.
God communicates His own agenda when He wants to. And one is allowed to ask also.
I am not going to mock and say he did not tell anyone. There are billions of people on earth. How would you know? There are multitudes of videos on YouTube? And not everyone uploads everything onto social media, so you don't know if there is a prophecy about it on YouTube or not.
