NASA will never show you the spinning globe, but you can see the Earth is FLAT for yourself with infrared camera technology.

Motion sickness: when there's a conflict between what your eyes see and what your inner ears, which help with balance, sense.
Your brain holds details about where you are and how you're moving. It constantly updates this with information from your eyes and vestibular system. The vestibular system is a network of nerves, channels and fluids in your inner ear, which gives your brain a sense of motion and balance.

If there's a mismatch of information between these two systems, your brain can't update your current status and the resulting confusion will lead to symptoms of motion sickness, such as nausea and vomiting.

For example, you can get motion sickness when travelling by car because your eyes tell your brain that you're travelling at more than 30 miles an hour, but your vestibular system tells your brain that you're sitting still.

You really ought to strike that one from your list.
Not at all. A counter to your argument is that simply closing one's eyes does not banish motion sickness.

Still, we are born into a system that is (supposedly) moving at a specific steady rate, which we would
be accustomed to, so saying motion sickness disproves that we are on a moving earth makes no sense.

Incorrect. If all we had were our eyes, then yes, you would be correct. However:

-Scripture states that the Earth is fixed and does not move.
Really? Where? Are you sure you have read and interpreted any such passage correctly?

-Experiments show that the Earth does not move.
-Movement of the Earth cannot be perceived
You do realize that those two assertions cancel each other out, right?

and people who suffer from motion sickness are not made ill by the extreme "movements of the Earth."
Oh. My. Goodness. Come on man, you can't be this dense. People who suffer from motion sickness are moving right along with the earth. They aren't being jostled about unexpectedly.

-NASA/the government are demonstrably lying to the people and untrustworthy. In the case of NASA, the organization is a propaganda tool of Freemasons and secret societies. This is factually demonstrable.
Irrelevant.

I have stated many of these things over and over, and if you were truly paying attention to what I have been saying, you would have been able to realize most of my arguments are NOT based on optical observation.
Perhaps. However, I have debunked your explanation of the sun being observed to the Southeast of Sydney. I await a rational explanation... one that cannot be debunked in about two seconds... flat.

Another two-second debunking...

Once you are suffering from motion sickness, it can take hours for the vestibular system to reset itself. I know that from personal experience, and I also know that the recovery time varies from person to person, so some people recover more quickly.

I still remember how, many years ago, days after crossing the country by train, I suddenly stumbled sideways while standing still... as if I were on the train. People do not even have to be moving to experience motion sickness. There is a good explanation for vection (<= link) there. I experienced it before, too, after being on the water in a boat, and later laying in bed feeling like I was still on the waves.

That's an interesting link! I learned something new. Thanks! :)

Yes and no. With actual value for refraction being known, the "I can see further over bodies of water than I should be able to" boils down to "Heliocentrists are wrong according to their own model." THAT'S really the point that's being made.
oh?

i've never seen any evidence of that. i've only seen FE proponents completely ignoring atmospheric refraction.

it would be interesting to hear someone who believes in FE trying to use equations for atmospheric refraction to show that they are insufficient to explain observations -- because those equations specifically incorporate the curvature of the earth. so yeah, if you intentionally leave out some of the factors, you'll get a wrong answer - and what you would really be doing is proving those factors need to be included.

but i thought your express intent with the water-glass concave/convex stacked lens example was to say 'you can't trust your eyes!' ?
i think the real takeaway though is that if you know something about optics you should expect exactly that behavior. so like i said, draw the ray diagram - looking at the geometry it should make sense that this is what you will see.
so it isn't so much, to me, that 'you can't trust what you see!' but that if you have knowledge and understanding, what you see will be clear - however if you reject knowledge, you may come up with all kinds of crazy ideas, and what you see will not make sense.

If we were going in a straight line perhaps. But we are not.

The heliocentric model says the Earth is spinning 1000 mph at the equator. The Earth is shooting around the Sun at 66,600 mph. The entire Solar System is supposedly moving "upwards" at about 1.9 million mph.

Seems a bit odd that people accustomed to spinning at 1000 mph in one spot on Earth would have no adverse effects when traveling somewhere else where they are spinning more slowly.

Did you know that the Earth is actually millions of miles CLOSER to the Sun during the northern "hemisphere's" winter? But supposedly "the tilt" affects us more than that, despite the inverse square law of light and the fact that the supposed tilt changes the distances of places relative to the Sun hardly at all? Now THAT makes no sense.

Can I prove scientifically that the Earth is flat? Honestly, no. I don't have the resources or equipment. Who SHOULD be able to prove the shape of the Earth? The world governments
Men proved the earth is a globe with nothing but their eyes and their reason thousands of years ago.

If the earth really was flat, all you would need is a sharp mind and keen observation. Everyone can do it.

Go watch the sun set tonight bro

The earth is not flat, otherwise someone would have walked/sailed/etc. to the end of the earth. It is possible to walk/sail around the world and reach the same location.
Yes, it is possible, and has been done many times since the earth is round.

the perception of motion is about acceleration not velocity.
You are not talking to people who have never ridden in a car.

If heliocentricity were true, Earth would be constantly accelerating toward the sun, and hence we would be able to feel it, as a race car driver on a track. That we can't shows that we're not moving, and heliocentricity is false (therefore, Earth is either a stationary ball - geocentrism, or flat).

Wow... your grasp of physics is astounding--ly poor. I'm shaking my head so much that I've got nothing else.

Seeing is believing, so maybe I should lead with this particular topic more often when I talk about Flat Earth. All NASA would have to do to prove the Earth is a spinning globe is put a 24/7 camera on the Moon and livestream footage of the Earth. Or even broadcast 24/7 footage from a satellite or the ISS. THIS HAS NEVER BEEN DONE. Why not?

But I can show you that the Earth is flat, and you can see it for yourself. The owner of this YouTube channel didn't start off as a Flat Earther (no one does) but he put his frequent long distance flying and his interest in infrared photography together and began taking long distance footage of the Earth whenever he took a plane trip. The results are staggering.

Infrared camera technology strips away clouds, dust, smog, and atmospheric interference and proves that the Earth is flat but simply obscured by our atmosphere. JTolanMedia1 has captured astounding footage extending hundreds and hundreds of miles. The Earth is undeniably flat. See for yourself. I would recommend watching his channel in REVERSE order since he started off as someone on the fence about Flat Earth and then changed his perspective due to his camera work.

I dedicate this thread to my cantankerous friend and brother, @Gideon300. I think old dogs CAN learn new tricks, so I'm not giving up on you, sir! :)
If earth is flat so too are all the planets in our solar system.
