Not in a good spot right now. Maybe just need prayer for strength or a breakthrough. I’m not sure what I need anymore.

I don't talk about it much, but I have times of depression myself. Not so much in the last few years as I know now where it comes from. If we focus on ourselves, we will see only weakness, defeat and failure. If we look to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, we will see victory, triumph and overcoming.

Read the first three chapters of Ephesians and Romans 8. Let the word refresh you and remind you of your birthright in Christ. Study Galatians 2:20 and 2 Corinthians 5:16. Ask God to reveal to you who you are in Christ and who Christ is in you.

I used to long for a breakthrough. Eventually the Lord showed me the truth. I'd read it, studied it, and declared it. But I did not believe it in my heart. That truth is that we are already new creations in Christ. The old really has passed away and the new truly has come. We are complete in Christ. The breakthrough comes when we realise that we do not need a breakthrough!

I also struggle with depression. I know it helps for me to have someone to talk to, so feel free to reach out to me if that's you, too. I'm holding onto God's promises that He's working all things out for our good. I think I'm bouncing back from my lowest point yet. I don't want to say that and then be down there again tomorrow, but i feel like my mental state is getting better. Anyhow, I get it, and I'm here to listen if you need me. God bless!

Do you take these things you post to the Lord?

We MUST PRAY without ceasing.1Thess.5:17
In EVERYTHING give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus CONCERNING YOU. 1These 5:18
Quench not the Spirit.1Thess5:19.
When the Spirit comes to you through your thoughts and tells you things to do good ,things to read, who to talk to,do you quench or force him down to disobey?

I've not seen any praise reports.Phil.4:4 Rejoice IN THE LORD: and again I say, Rejoice. Rms 5...........

You are not supposedly to forever be a victim to first one thing then another.
Rms5:2 BY WHOM ALSO WE HAVE ACCESS BY FAITH INTO THIS GRACE WHEREIN WE STAND,AND REJOICE IN THE HOPE OF THE GLORY OF GOD. plz read all Rms chapter 5

Come on Gemmy,God loves you and no greater love hath man than to lay down his life for his friend is ever going to come your way.

He however is NOT a crutch to be used when you don't want to walk right.
Being in bad relationships, making wrong choices, not being independent and dependent on God ,inconsistencies, these are what put you where you are when you reach out.

God is the creator and NOTHING is impossible in him. Get right with him, then study the word, pray and walk in him. Your life will be so much better.

Thank you for that. Truthfully, I’m doing the best I can. I know I’m supposed to trust God but it’s not easy…I’m not using him as a crutch. I’m a work in progress. I’m not scared to admit I struggle a lot

What can I do to help you sweetie?
I know you're young with a young daughter.
I do pray for you, my Grands are young with babies.

Sometimes when we let go just let go that's when God comes to our rescue. He is always there just waiting.

Do you have a supportive family?
A church or group of friends that will help hold you up?

I know this isn't easy either but men should be a no no til you get stronger. Used and abused is one of those things that drag down our self worth and causes depression.

Do you work? Have your precious girl full time?

I will especially pray God surround you with support even the kind you can not see.

He loves you and your daughter so very much.Try looking at the blessings in your life and not the negatives.
Are you both healthy?

Do you need help with finances a place to live? I know there are many systems in place that could be a relief line for you. Start searching in your area and don't be ashamed to seek help. You probably even have a county mental health center, that would give you someone to talk to.

Please come back with info and praise when God intervenes. He is OUR strong tower and the righteous run to it.

Thank you so much. As of right now, it is just me and my daughter. I’m in school finishing up my last semester in a medical assistant program then I’ll be going into my internship and working afterwards. I got out of the abusive relationship I used to be and I haven’t had any contact with him in over a year now. I’ve considered getting back in therapy. I don’t have a church I’m going to right now but I do have friends that pray for me. I think at this point, I just want prayer more than anything. Some days are just harder than others.

I'm glad to hear that you are getting your education and looking to the future. That is a marvellous start.
I know it can't be easy with a little one.

See you do have support of friends and people here also.

Therapy can help. I'm going back in it myself. My younger brother just passed in Dec.2021 unexpectedly in his sleep. Seems all my family passes this way.

I was not but am now the oldest with one sibling left out of a big family. I'm 64,he was 58.
I have been feeling so quilty bc I'm still here and my loved ones are gone. I have been a believer many years,to my knowledge they were not.

I am also so fearful my only daughter will come to visit or bring me something and I'll have gone the same way,in my sleep. I cannot STAND the thought she might find me gone after many days and decay be set in.

Life is so hard sugar but the Lord makes it so much more bearable knowing he has us in his hands!
