Astrology,the art of studying the relative positions of the sun,moon,planets,and constellations to explain and predict events on earth. It is NOT science
The zodiac is a ring of constellations that lie along the ecliptic,where we get our birth signs by month.Psychics and fortune tellers use signs one is born under to predict PERSONAL events in a persons life.Astrology has no scientific VALIDITY!

LUKE21:25 There will be signs in the sun,moon,and stars,Jesus said.

Astronomy,the study of everything in the UNIVERSE BEYOND EARTH'S ATMOSPHERE,like sun,moon,planets,and stars. It is a SCIENCE that studies everything outside of the earth atmosphere and the properties and relationships of those celestial bodies.


Got it Gary,thank you. Astronomy is a true science,while astrology is the belief that certain position in our atmosphere can affect the way events occur on earth.

So when all the kings and their prophets served false gods they were using astrology to predict oh this means that and that means this of things in the sky.......lol
In Matthew was Jesus rebuking them for astrology?

Gary was right. And he was right to mention it. I should have mentioned it myself... but I just had to wait and see if any of the "I'm more Christian than you" people would jump on it. :whistle:

But I'm so much more Christian than all of you that I'm on a spiritual plane where even worrying about your mundane mortal errors is beneath my exalted state.

Sorry couldn't resist, or at least I thought the humor value was worth not resisting.

Where is the admonition in scripture that forbids a study of astrology? Horoscopes is a part of witchcraft and I get that!

Mt.16:2-4. He answered and said unto them,When it is evening,ye say,It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.
And in the morning,It will be foul weather today: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites,ye can DISCERN THE FACE OF THE SKY; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

In this I understand Jesus was rebuking them with the admonition of their superior knowledge of astrology but total failure to recognize the sign of the times.
Jesus birth,ministry,death,burial,and resurrection that was to come. They failed to put all together and recognize their Messiah!
