For sure...I learned that lesson as a child. Got my scissor privileges taken away a few times over it before I learned my lesson, though...

Then, one time I decided to cut my own hair when I was around 6 and after looking in the mirror :eek:I suspended my own scissor privileges.

Took 'em to my mom and told her to lock them up, throw them away, or whatever because I never wanted to be around scissors ever again...lol

I kind of looked like this little girl for a while...until my hair grew back out.

So yeah, scissors can definitely be dangerous in many, many ways. :giggle:

Sadly, the self Cinderella makeover, turned out more like a Prince Charming makeover. Or maybe Billy Ray Cyrus... with the whole business in the front and party in the back mullet.

So yeah, even though I was only 6 at the time... I had to wear lipstick, heels, and only pink dresses everywhere for a while after that... just so people would know I was a girl....lol:p:giggle:

I had a kid spit gum in my hair when I was 6. I was so proud of my long hair. Then I got a kind of longer, rounded pixie cut because of the gum. :( It was never the same.

Oh no...Having someone else cause you to have to get your hair cut would have to be even worse. :(

I have a cousin who has hair down past her ankles...I'm not even exaggerating. I don't know why she wants it that long or how she deals with it. My hair is almost to my waist and that is plenty long enough for me. I couldn't deal with it any longer than that.

Anyways, some guy put gum in her hair while she was on the bus when she was in high school. I don't know how but she got it out without cutting it.

It's terrible how some kids can be so mean like that....:(

Wait...what...Where am I? Singles forum?

I'm not in this forum very often so hadn't seen the crush thread. Guess I need to check the singles forum out a little more often. Seems there are many fun threads here.

I'm kind of a thrill-seeker, though. So I usually post on the BDF forum....You know the whole running with the wolves and swimming with the sharks, thing.....lol:p

Just kidding to all the BDF folks who might read this...You know I LOVE you all;):love:

But back to Billy Ray, I was like 12 when I was crushing on him....Been a while so does that still count?

Isn't every child's first experience with scissors the cutting of their hair🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
For me, it was removing unwanted chicken pox. I went through a phase where I wanted to be a surgeon. Still have a couple divots in my face if you look at it from the right angle...

How bout go out with your hair still wet in winter, you'll catch a cold?

According to Mayo clinic the short answer is NO.
Viruses cause colds,at hair won't make you more attractive to germs.

It might raise or lower your attractiveness to other humans though.

Seems humans are more picky than germs. :sneaky:

My grandma told me two men were swallowed by the moon because they fought over a tree. So inside the moon were the two men and the tree they fought over. They were each given a small piece of meat to eat for the rest of eternity. She believed it till the day she went home with the Lord. :)

Hi,thought this might be fun or it may open our eyes!
1 Tim 4:7 But refuse profane and old wives Fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
Titus1:4 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from truth.

I'm sure many of us were told by our Mothers or Grandmother's to do this it will help or don't do this on certain days.

There are MANY superstitions about this or that. Thought we might share some together and see how they stack up to the word.
"An apple a day keeps the doctor away". Did no old-wives ever hear about Snow White? (Or maybe that's who the witch character was based on!)

Really gross...Have no idea if it is true or not, though?
