I will state it here to all who hears and reads. Everybody is in the final days. Christendom will be judged. Babylon will fall whether you think you are in it or not.
Your teaching of the 7 years are your doctrines, not mine. It is a false doctrine that leads people astray. Your words - 7 years. Your doctrine. Not a sword of truth but a plastic spoon.
Weave, point and report as much as you will. It is no concern for me.
Lactose says,
"Everybody is in the final days." He's also indicating that any narrative including a literal 7-year period is
"false doctrine"; but here's what the Scriptures are showing us;
first addressing the 70th Week of Daniel, as it relates to the book of Revelations.
What we're seeing in the book of Daniel is the very basis of every narrative found in Revelations.
The position that Lactose is taking here was anticipated by God: That there would be those in dispute; attempting to overthrow the very Calendar God used to govern Israel, it being the first Witness setting the framework for any interpretation of this time period.
Rev 13:6 - And he [the Beast] opened his mouth, blaspheming against God, blaspheming His name and His tabernacle, referring to those who dwell in heaven.
Dan 7:25
He will speak out against the Most High, and wear down the saints of the Highest One;
he will intend to make alterations in times and in law; and they will be given
into his hand for a time, times, and half a time
[3.5 years according to the Jewish Calendar].
"Times, time, half a time" is the First witness of the 2-part division of this 7-Year time period:
[Dan 9:27 (a) NASB20]
27 "And he will confirm a covenant with the many for one week,
but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering.
So, here we have "One Week" and "The Middle of the Week" comprehending the treaty being broken; a treaty exempting Israel from taking the mark of the Beast or worshiping his image. And notice: this treaty will be made "with the many", comprehending all who will be having knowledge of these things:
[Rev 13:5 NASB20]
5 A mouth was given to him [the Beast] speaking arrogant words and blasphemies,
and authority to act for forty-two months was given to him.
Mat 24:15-16
Jesus said, “Therefore when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet,
standing in the holy place (let the reader understand) 16 then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains.
[Rev 11:1-2 NASB20]
1 Then there was given to me a measuring rod like a staff; and someone said, "Get up and measure the temple of God and the altar, and those who worship in it. 2 "Leave out the courtyard which is outside the temple and do not measure it, because it has been given to the nations; and they will trample the holy city for forty-two months.
And verse three comprehends the same 42-Month/1260-Day time period where Two Witnesses are protecting their people, but are killed (forcing (primarily) the priestly caste, even other levites to flee the city.)
[Rev 11:3 NASB20] 3 "And I will grant [authority] to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth."
Understanding the broken treaty starts by examining the 42 months that preceded it, where Israel is allowed to build the temple on its original site; measuring the altar, measuring the people; tailoring the priestly garments: all that will be prepared so the daily sacrifice can begin; even allowing the Gentiles a 42-month grace period to get out of the city. Therefore, the middle of the week is the juncture where Israel has to flee, because the image of the Beast is in the temple; and this brings us to 1260 Days: the third Witness of a 3.5-Year period of time.
Dan 12:7
I heard the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, as he raised his right and left hand toward heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever, that it would be for a time, times, and half a time [3 ½ years]; as soon as they finish shattering the power of the holy people, all these events will be completed.
Shattering the power of the holy people is indicative of the temple being desecrated by the Beast. Once again, the Scriptures are telling of this happening in the middle of the week, putting a stop to the daily sacrifice (once again: the priestly caste would be losing their lives, along with many others, if they did not flee the city.) And again: from the middle of the week, they are in a place of protection to wait out the following 1260 Days/3.5 years.
[Rev 12:6 NASB20] 6 Then the woman fled into the wilderness where she had a place prepared by God, so that there she would be nourished for 1,260 days.
The previous verse and the one hereafter confirm that 1260 Days equals a time, times and half a time:
[Rev 12:13-14 NASB20]
13 And when the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman [ISRAEL]
who gave birth to the male [Child.] 14 But the two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman,
so that she could fly into the wilderness to her place, where she was nourished
for a time, times, and half a time, away from the presence of the serpent.
All of this timing is so important, that it ensures the remnant of Israel will survive, timed down to the very year and month, day and hour:
Rev 9:15 And the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and the month and the year, were released, so that they would kill a third of the men.
Killing a third of the men who were poised to completely destroy Israel.
[Rev 10:5-6 NASB20] 5 Then the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven, 6 and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things in it, and the earth and the things in it, and the sea and the things in it, that there will no longer be a delay.
Even the bodies of Moses and Elijah lying in the street for 3.5 DAYS:
Rev 11:7, 9 - When Moses and Elijah have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war with them, overcoming and killing them. … 9 Those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will look at their dead bodies for three and a half Days, not permitting their bodies to be laid in a tomb.
Rev 11:12-15 And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up here." Then they went up into heaven in the cloud, and their enemies watched them.
Therefore, within this hour of Moses and Elijah being raised, the earthquake splits through the Mount of Olives:
[Rev 11:12-13 NASB95]
13 And in that hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell; seven thousand people/G444/anthrōpon were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.
Zec 14:4-5 - In that day His feet will be standing on the Mount of Olives, in front of Jerusalem to the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west by a very large valley, so that half the mountain will move towards the north and the other half towards the south. 5 You will flee by the valley of My mountains, for the valley of the mountains will reach to Azel; yes, you will flee just as you fled before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the LORD, my God, will come, and all the holy ones with Him!
