Yes I was very blessed by the song it made me want to sing praise to him but what I wanted to speak in my heart words would not suffice. To be honest I have sometimes wondered if there is a type of tongues that only the heart can speak, sometimes am overcome by my love and affection for him and my endearment but words simply cannot express the depth of it so I pour my love and affection with my heart as if speak a language of the heart words with no sound and a language with no words as if more thandimply speaking it but pouring it directly into him.
If this is a type of tongues it certainly is beautiful
If this is a type of tongues it certainly is beautiful
An equivalence is that peace of God which surpasses all understanding. In experience (outward) it is peace in the entire man even in our martyrdom if the Lord has given us that portion when the time comes. But that outward provocation of being put to death for Christ in the body produces the need for that peace else such things would be a terror.
Similarly when we hear song that is anointed and rises from a gift of God we may find ourselves being transported to the inner man - to the new man in Christ - and in that spiritual place deep calls unto deep. The reason why it is a spiritual man calling unto God is because it is also a man that knows in his outer portion of the soul (thoughts and intentions of the heart) that he has a great need for God - and that need is expressed in the wordless language of the Spirit. Yet because we are enlivened by song when this moment overtakes us we find that the mingling of the thoughts and the intentions of the heart limit our ability to be silent and so we feel a deep need to express ourselves with our minds that would ordinarily give rise to words - when in that place there is only communion with God.
An easier thing to understand for those who have the power of the Holy Spirit is to worship God in fellowship with other Spirit filled believers. In such a place we enter into the Father's presence with Christ at His right hand by the power of the Holy Spirit in agreement and in obedience to Christ in us by the indwelling Spirit of God - and in that place we can also be carried into unspeakable joy and utter mysteries in tongues. We can also speak profound truths concerning the Father of His great love and of Christ of His great sacrifice on the Cross for our sin and the sins of many - and in that way we edify one another because we are all bound in the same unity of Spirit and in the same calling to know the Father by His beloved Son.
Yet the first deep calling unto deep (the thing of which you speak) is a hidden communion with God - and so whilst we may be delivered into that place of the inner man by anointed song - it is a place of the silence of knowing God. It is not a place to speak even mysteries.
