In my experience, a lot of Middle Eastern Christianity is more cultural, including being influenced by Islamic society, than spiritual. And Westernized Arabs find it difficult to gel with those from the Middle East, and vice versa. How do you all feel about this, and is there a way for cultural Christians to be more spiritual, and for East and West to bridge the gap?

That is not the issue. People from different cultures can and do mix. But they do not give up their cultural traditions or biases.

I think most people moving someplace new do so to change their traditions and biases. At least most who immigrate proactively. There are also those who recreate their cultures in their new place and don't integrate, which I don't understand.

Yes, that is rather strange. Why did they move to the West, if that was not really acceptable to them in the first place?

Then we have the huge Muslim migrant invasion of the West (millions), which is actually a part of Jihad according to the Quran. The whole idea being to come into the West and then undermine Western and Christian values, establish Sharia law, establish mosques, promote Islamist Radicalism, and eventually establish an Islamist Caliphate. Not to mention increase the Muslim population drastically by having many more children than Westerners.

This is ASYMMETRICAL WARFARE, but Western politicians are too stupid and too ignorant to understand Islam and its plans for worldwide domination. After 9/11 Bush said stupidly -- "Islam is a religion of peace!" Imagine the reverse if 9/11 had happened in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia has been playing both sides -- funding Islamist terrorism and ensuring that the West buys its oil, so that more terrorism can be funded!

Yes, by letting go of religious traditions. These create a wall within the christian community. Jesus Christ is Bruce lee. Bruce hated the fact that Wing Chun was created for Chinese people and had traditional faults so he created a sport that anyone could adapt to with similar functions. The same is Christianity in relation to Judaism.

Please forgive me. I am not an Arab. However. I read your post and as a fellow Christian and brother in Christ I wanted to reach out. I have visited a few other countries who have vastly different cultures than my own. While the differences were noticeable, they quickly dissipated in the midst of our love for Jesus. We are commanded to deny ourself, take up our cross, and follow Jesus. We may all come form different cultures and values, but once we have been adopted into the family of God through our faith on Jesus then it is Jesus that brings us together and holds us close in love and friendship.
So in response to your question I would have to say, Yes! It is possible for cultural Christians to be more spiritual and for the East and West to bridge the gap. It is possible, but it will only happen if it is Jesus and Jesus alone who bridges the gap for us. In Him all things are possible. If it is all about God and not about us then true religion can occur.
True religion comes in the obedience of 2 great commands of God.
L9ve the Lord your God with all your heart, souls, and mind, and love others as Jesus loved them.
