Am I the only one who thinks its a bit of a drag when people ask you to sign petitions of a formulated thought or,position that you need to make up your mind on the spot?
Often there isnt any ONE answer to something.
petitons often ciruclate in groups, youd be chatting away on some topic and then randomly somone will hit you with a peititon to sign something without even explaining what it is you are signing or what your signature would mean.
Are they trying to push a bill or change legislation? are you signing on your behalf or someome elses?
do petitions really change things? or are they a waste of time like referendums are.
I dont quite understand but then I dont want to sign something I dont understand or havent thought through just because someone asks me to.
