If you guys are trying to wear me out, you have succeeded! Let's continue this Monday, I won't be here tomorrow.

Besides I have a question to answer for someone and have to look it up, can't very well do that with all the incoming.

And where does the Holy Spirit dwell?
Within born-again believers, of course!

However, there are at least three possible ways to "take away" the Holy Spirit (with regard to the issue at hand):

1) Rapture

2) Apostasy

3) Death

All three may apply in terms of very large numbers.

There is 2:1 stacked against you - you cannot afford to 'guess' or 'assume' anything.

We have no choice but to choose one that best fits the scripture as it is presented to us.

While remembering that John told us the Holy Spirit is God, would it be reasonable to "assume" that when the Holy Spirit is taken out of the way for the wrath of the tribulation to begin, that the Holy Spirit takes with Him what belongs to Him, the believer?

Thereby the "snatching away" so often discussed in this subject!

Paul's discussion is only concerned with one 'event' - not two. And, that event is 'the day of Christ'.
Which he directly ties to 'the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ' and 'our gathering together unto him'.

I don't think so! He is concerned of this Church believing "that the day of Christ/Lord" has already come.

That day is concerning wrath on this entire world, which includes the tribulation and the destroying of the anit-christ at the Second Coming.

Then Paul begins speaking of the Rapture and tell them in 1 Thes. 5"9 that we (the Church) are not appointed to wrath but the salvation of the Lord.

It is a Biblical fact. Popularity is completely irrelevant.

It's not the church who is a she.
The Holy Spirit does not operate as some presidents, leaving their own behind.

When He is taken out He takes His own with Him! That would be the true believing Church at that time.

It is very plainly presented to us as 'Apostasy'. (By virtue of the greek word definition - why can you not accept it?)

You need to understand the 'crux' of this issue. It is not about "removing the Holy Spirit [from the earth]. It is about the "diminishing" of the power of the working of the Holy Spirit in the earth.

Thereby the "snatching away" so often discussed in this subject!
What makes you think that 'taken out of the way' is referring to something happening very quickly? It does not actually indicate that.

Do me a favor and read the attachment on post #3890 I think it is.

See if that is acceptable to you.

lol, what? Your doctrine is the one leaving behind the greatest saints of the modern era with the two witnesses and the 144k left on the Earth. Before you say it, no, they don't convert during the Great Tribulation. They are all saved Christians before the beast ever comes to power.

They are all martyred for preaching the kingdom of God! I don't know what you're talking about.

And that goes back to the question I have yet to answer for someone. I have to look it up in scripture.

Again you make a false accusation about post-trib that actually is true of pre-trib and when that is brought to your attention you use a red herring fallacy to change the subject.

There are no left behind saints in post-trib but there is in pre-trib. Again, pre-trib is the junk doctrine, wrong in basically everything it preaches, not based on the bible and rejects expert sources like Strong's etc on the meaning of Apostasia.

OK, show us who "he" is in 2Thes. 2:7. This "he" is taken out of the way, and then the anti-christ is revealed.

Who is "he?"
HE is not the church as Paul would never refer the Church as 'He', neither does Scripture.
HE is not Christ as the Lord is at the Right Hand of the Father.
HE is the Holy Spirit whom satan fears greatly and has no power over or against.

When the Holy Spirit is given the unction from the Father, then HE steps aside and permits the revealing of the wicked one.

Genesis 1:2 "And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters."

Revelation 13:1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name.

LOL, there are no saints left behind in pre-trib theory. I don't know where you get that from, but it's typical of the understanding I've seen on this forum!

"There you go again..."

You are believing things built on assumptions rather than what scripture is actually saying.

Let me ask you something...

If we know:

1) The Two Witnesses serve a 3.5-year "commission" - at the end of which they are killed.

2) They are killed by 'the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit'.

3) The bottomless pit is "opened" during the Trumpet 5 events.

4) The Two Witnesses are obviously not killed before the bottomless pit is "opened" - and certainly not before [that] which the beast that kills them "comes forth" out of.

What can we learn from this?

Satan open the bottomless pit in Rev. 9:2 for the locust and demons to torment men on earth.

That has nothing to do with the 2 witnesses who are still alive.

The beast that comes from the bottomless pit are not the demon locusts in Rev. 9:2
