1. No one is degrading women period.
2. Her husband should be present doing the correcting as in Aquila and Priscilla.
3. God's word gave titles. Bishops and deacons are men in God's Holy word.
Please give the Scripture that says Aquila was correcting Priscilla.

Do you believe women should become pastors and leaders of a local church assembly? Not guest speakers, not evangelists, not missionaries, but overseers of the body of Christ having authority over the men even their husbands?
I see nothing against it if they are chosen by God. I see Paul only addressing certain issues in Timothy's church where women were being corrected in many areas for example, modesty as it was a rich pagan culture with fertility temples. Paul's letters to different churches address different problems.

But I do see differing roles in marriage.

Please listen, not with emotions...women can and should spread the gospel. Scripture is clear about the role of women and men in the local assembly, the local church body.

you really let your true emotions slip when you make the remark about emotions. you are not someone I listen to.

scripture is very clear. too bad you don't adhere to it

thank you, I like pointing people to what scripture actually says, void of feelings. There are many things in God's word that I don't like personally, but it's God's word and takes precedent over what I feel.

you obviously do not know what a non sequitur is...might be why you keep trying to use them

you point to what you have personally interpreted from scripture...including the claim the KJ is the only viable Bible

in spite of the fact, many errors in interpretation have been exposed

I'm not sure where the argument against what scripture clearly teaches about the role of men and women? Why such a push back? No one is trying to degrade, persecute, or hold back women. That's such a ridiculous mind set of the feminist movement.

Strawman smokescreen argument, nothing more

Why does her husband need to be present if it is the Word of God?

Romans 16:1-2
16 I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a deacon of the church in Cenchreae. 2 I ask you to receive her in the Lord in a way worthy of his people and to give her any help she may need from you, for she has been the benefactor of many people, including me.

Ditch the perversion...

1 I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:
2 That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also.

Church is being spoken of as if it is a place. It is not. Therefore, where two or three are gathered in His Name can be anywhere.

In scripture, the church is referred to both the body of Christ as a whole, and also the local assembly of the body of Christ.

Yes. For once we are baptized in Christ Jesus, we are neither male nor female. God sees us as His servants, and He will give us the task He wills us to accomplish regardless of male or female.

Man can not limit who God calls to do what He calls someone to do, regardless of their sex...........You act as if Deborah never existed..........or that she was not the Ruler/Judge over ALL of Israel, she ruled for 20 years! Chosen and blessed by God Himself to do so.

Right after you provide scripture that states it was Priscilla that was correcting. I'll wait...
I said no such thing and your asking for such is plain and simple dishonest.

Now please provide the verse that shows Aquila was correcting Priscilla as you claimed.

If not just please acknowledge you make things up and try to pass them off as Scripture.

Again, Yes.

And, please explain how it is that those of you who deny women the right to serve God as God called them to serve ONLY ENFORCE this one statement about women from the Apostle Paul? How is it that none of you ENFORCE ALL of the statements the Apostle made concerning women?

Until all of you who teach such sexist theology, no, more correctly, carnal theology, ENFORCE ALL of the teachings of the Apostle, you have not a leg to stand on.....

I never made this claim. I stated it was both of them correcting the error, in private. The only reason Priscilla could is because her husband was there with her. She was backing up what Aquila was saying. A second witness...
