I am actually a few counties over.
But I'm a non-Christian, which means I'm the enemy. But still interesting to see someone else so close. I've only met one other person here that close, in 8 years.

I met WillieT who was a member but is now deceased. He lived one city over from us. My wife and I ate lunch with him and his wife quite a few times. Other than JesusLives, he is the only member that I have actually met. Very funny guy, exactly like he was portrayed in the fourums.

I've met a few in person over the years.
But even when I was a teen in the AOL years of early internet I had met people from AOL as well.
When I say I'm the enemy I'm not saying that about myself. I'm referring to how many on here act. Not all, but many here view non-Christians as enemies and beneath them. Even to the point of lying against them or defending wrong teachings just to disagree with them. Others simply disappear as soon as they find out. Can't hang around the spiritual leper I guess.
I was a Christian for 30 years. I had been involved in various types of ministries as a teen, and even considered becoming a youth pastor, then pastor, then evangelist.
So I have a pretty decent understanding of God and Jesus and the bible and all the things you're asking me about.
I'm not claiming to have any answers.
What I believe? God has favorites and predestines them to be saved. Anyone else has no chance.

I married a woman that I met on AOL in a Romance Christian Singles chat room. She was my late second wife. I lived in Florida and she lived in Maine. After we had actually physically met I flew her back to Florida with me.
I lived in FL during the AOL days. And I used to hang in those rooms too. Who knows, maybe we bumped into each other back then, in the rooms. Haha.

That is true. My wife and I were both sad to hear from his wife that he died unexpectedly from a brain bleed. This happened a couple years ago. I believe that he was 72 or 73 when he died.
