I was thinking of sackcloth and ashes as a sign of repentance. The scripture does not mention the 2 witnesses wearing ashes with the sackcloth, so I had a brain cramp on that one!

i'm not hearing an explanation for this Scripture:
Revelation 12:10
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
The Kingdom of The World became The Kingdom of GOD. It means it already happened and JESUS is Reigning now.
JESUS said we rule by helping the poor and loving our enemies.

And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
Rev 12:4
And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
If you read the 2 previous verses you will see that Satan has just been kicked out of heaven. This is the beginning of the end for Satan, all of heaven is celebrating his fall and the victory of the Kingdom of God coming.
"And the power of His Christ" is stating that Christ will rule this earth and not Satan.
So it didn't happen at the cross. It happened when satan was kicked out of the kingdom of God which is heaven?
That doesn't happen until 7th trumpet:
Rev 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
Satan is the...prince...of this world...not king.
God is in full control. As King of Kings and Lords of Lords...Christ will remove Satan from any presence.
You are not seeing the obvious Scripture from the past in the same chapter.

And you are claiming salvation came long after the cross. Here is truth:
Luk_19:9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.
Salvation came during the ministry of Jesus. That was almost 2,000 years ago.
It's almost like you get it.

I get it better than you have since you think salvation came long after the cross. Salvation came BEFORE the cross not after the cross.

While heaven rejoices, the earth is warned about the devil.
Revelation 12 is all things that already happened.

JESUS is already Ascended at this point in the Chapter.

And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
And then it goes right into the war in Heaven.

And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
JESUS is already back in Heaven (Rev 12:5)

Rev Chapter 13 is about satan going after the remnant of Christianity.

Did Nero cause people to receive a mark in foreheads or right hands? Did he command an image to be made and did he make image come to life and speak? Then there is Revelation 11. Did Nero kill the two prophets and did those prophets rise from the dead and ascend into heaven?
If any of this is a "no" then Nero was not the Antichrist.
yes it’s interesting it shows us there is a group already with Jesus in heaven who have lives and died and had those sins remitted by Jesus as he promises his followers.

so he’s announcing salvation and the kingdom in heaven and those thatbdwell In heaven having overcome thier accuser by the blood of the lamb who died for thier sins , so they died having thier sins remitted and dwell in the kingdom of heaven with Christ that’s what happens when a Christian dies.
we enter the next place alive but dead to this world. See how in heaven there’s salvation and Satan no longer allowed ? But this means now he’s enraged and dwelling in earth and he lost against Jesus but he’s trying to overcome Jesus disciples because they are going to inherit the kingdom .
I think some people don’t consider what’s transpiring in the heavenly places of creation is the thing . we assume heaven exists only after earth ends but both exist simultaneously and even now there is a heavenly kingdom established where Satan is overcome and has no place
simultaneously he’s on earth until God ends the world heaven and earth and makes it all new and bars Satan forever in the lake of fire one with the angels and men who followed and served satan those he overcame in the world
revelation really shows this “ let Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven “ you see something happen on heaven and then it later effects the earth in johns vision
So we see this in heaven seven angels having the trumpets and then when they sound in heaven , they affect the earth
“The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.”
Revelation 8:7 KJV
so it’s showing us an interaction and correlation between the two realms of the creation what happens in heaven “ Satan is defeated and cast out “ now means “ he is angry and at war with those who believe in this earthly part of creation
so what happens in heaven affects what’s going to happen on earth.
I think creation is like man we are in bodies created and finite. and we are living spirit that is unseen. So there is earth which we can look and see and heaven which is just beyond the veil of flesh that we can’t see so Jesus told us about it and we can know and believe and have faith.
I personally feel as if heaven and earth constitute one creation with two distinct Places one first the natural we live now and that’s going to determine where we spend eternity .
and then the life of our spiritual existence that is forever after we part the flesh that is temporal we have a heavenly world where we will live beyond and after and past death
we know Jesus lives and is on the throne but it’s not in this world so we can’t see him on the throne , so we know there is another plain of unseen existence that we are Merely blinded to by our temporal flesh. Where Jesus is now with believers who lived and died in Christ
I feel all believers from them till now who died in faith are filling the kingdom one by one . But it’s all just my own thoughts nothing official lol it’s what I believe though when we die in faith and having our sins remitted we can go and live with Jesus spiritually in heaven until the resurrection of the dead and judgement of the worlds non believers and those who would not repent and accept the life offered in Christ.
I’m not expecting my death to be any more than me finishing my journey home to the kingdom and I just hope I’m welcomed in when I get there I don’t expect to sleep in the grave or wait until the dead are resurrected because Jesus promised life after death an eternal
Enduring life and a kingdom not of this world but from above

Are you seeing that Rev 12 already happened? What didn't? If you see that it is the past ...you might have to rethink the Chapter after it.
The war satan starts against Christians, which is the Great Tribulation, has not yet happened.
You sidestepped my questions:
Did Nero cause people to receive a mark in foreheads or right hands? Did he command an image to be made and did he make image come to life and speak? Then there is Revelation 11. Did Nero kill the two prophets and did those prophets rise from the dead and ascend into heaven?
