so fallen angels magically stop being evil?
No. That is a non-sense question.
so fallen angels magically stop being evil?
satan is bound, doesn't mean the fallen angels under him are.
also, please look my post above yours (#408).
Satan is king over the fallen angels - what happens to satan - happens to all of the fallen angels.
“Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:
And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth.
And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought,
These scriptures make absolutely clear that satan is the ruler over the fallen angels - they do his bidding.
Pay attention to the Dragons tail - this again clearly denotes satan as the Head over his fallen angels.
wishful thinking, satan is just a fallen angel like the rest of them. a bound satan does not mean every fallen angel is bound.
i didn't write this, but wow.
1. Did God break His promise? In Psalm 2, YHWH promised that He would establish His kingdom regardless of man's attempts to thwart His purpose. Premillennialism teaches that the 'Jewish' rejection of Jesus as an earthly king caused God not to be able to establish the kingdom in the first century. Hence, God's promise failed. The next conclusion which follows is this: if the rejection of Jesus in the first century caused God to be unable to fulfill His promise, how can we be sure that a similar rejection at a later time would not have the same effect? This destroys confidence in the word of God.
2. Is Jesus is a failure. John 18:37 plainly states that Jesus came to this earth for the purpose of becoming a king. If He did not accomplish that which He set out to do, as premillennialists assert, He failed in His mission.
3. Dethroning Christ. Premillennialism dethrones Christ by denying that He is presently reigning as king over His kingdom. Hence, if premillennialism is true,' we cannot confess that Jesus is Lord (Acts 2:36) or that He is King of kings and Lord of lords (1 Tim. 6:15). We could only state a conviction that He will become these things at some future date. Presently,' however, Jesus does not have "all authority" if premillennialism is true despite the clear affirmations to the contrary (Matt. 28:18; Eph. 1:20-23).
4. So the Apostles have no authority. The apostles were given "binding and loosing" authority in the kingdom (Matt. 16:18; 18:18). If the kingdom has not come, they have no binding and loosing authority. The words of the apostles would not then be the authoritative word of God for today. The New Testament looses its authority if premillennialism is true.
5. There is no need for a new birth. The new birth was the condition for one to have admission into the kingdom of heaven (Jn. 3:3, 5). If that kingdom has not come, there is no need for a man to be born again. Why be born again if there is no kingdom in which to enter?
wishful thinking, satan is just a fallen angel like the rest of them. a bound satan does not mean every fallen angel is bound.
Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ,
To the pilgrims of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ:
Grace to you and peace be multiplied.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
This is written to the elect of God = the Body of Christ.
Not to Jews according to the flesh.
Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture,
Do not tresspass against the Scripture as the serpent did in the Garden.
Any move to separate Jew from Gentile in Christ is sin and antichrist.
LISTEN to the APOSTLE PETER
Now the apostles and elders came together to consider this matter.
7And when there had been much dispute, Peter rose up and said to them: “Men and brethren, you know that a good while ago God chose among us, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe. 8So God, who knows the heart, [a]acknowledged them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He did to us, 9and made no distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. 10Now therefore, why do you test God by putting a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? 11But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved in the same manner as they.”
12Then all the multitude kept silent and listened to Barnabas and Paul declaring how many miracles and wonders God had worked through them among the Gentiles. 13And after they had become silent, James answered, saying, “Men and brethren, listen to me: 14Simon has declared how God at the first visited the Gentiles to take out of them a people for His name. 15And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written:
16‘After this I will return
And will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down;
I will rebuild its ruins,
And I will set it up;
17So that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord,
Even all the Gentiles who are called by My name,
Says the Lord who does all these things.’
LISTEN to GOD
Praise the Lord!
For it is good to sing praises to our God;
For it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful.
2The Lord builds up Jerusalem;
He gathers together the outcasts of Israel.
3He heals the brokenhearted
And binds up their wounds.
4He counts the number of the stars;
He calls them all by name.
5Great is our Lord, and mighty in power;
His understanding is infinite.
6The Lord lifts up the humble;
He casts the wicked down to the ground.
LISTEN TO PAUL
I tell the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit, 2that I have great sorrow and continual grief in my heart. 3For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my countrymen according to the flesh, 4who are Israelites, to whom pertain the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises; 5of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen.
6But it is not that the word of God has taken no effect. For they are not all Israel who are of Israel, 7nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, “In Isaac your seed shall be called.” 8That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as the seed. 9For this is the word of promise: “At this time I will come and Sarah shall have a son.”
The body of Christ is never referred to as the elect. The nation of Israel is God's elect nation. He elected them for the seed. Elect has to do with service, not salvation.
12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
If The Kingdom isn't here yet then Be Perfect As Your Heavenly Father Is Perfect.
If The Kingdom here yet then Be Perfect As Your Heavenly Father Is Perfect.
If the papacy before the Reformation is the woman that rides the beast, then isn't Revelation, at least, partially done?
Hi Itheophilus,
Yes, I'm very familiar with those verses--of course it's obvious by my postings that I do not believe in a millennial earthly kingdom---that is a 1000 year reign of Christ--I have asked for literal verses that say Christ will rule and reign on the earth 1000 years but no one has been able to share those. The verses you've shared are from Revelation of a Vision John sees which is filled with symbolism and strange imagery--some of which the angel interprets, some which is found elsewhere in scripture--others we need wisdom to understand.
There is only one Angel in revelation who speaks to John, not several--I'm not sure what you are talking about there.
"God sent “his angel to his servant John, who bore witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw.” Revelatation 1:1-2
The verses you have shared are the New Heaven and Earth--as the current heavens and earth will be destroyed --this is clear from literal scripture.
"By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly." 2 Peter 3:7
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven
This is not what millennials believe--they believes Christ will reign on the PRESENT earth.
Finish the verse! "and now is not my Kingdom of this earth."
It's yet to come!
it’s a spiritual kingdom
“But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.”
Matthew 12:28 KJV
Christ is eeeted on his throne already it’s why he was taken up to heaven
“Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.”
Acts 2:30, 32-33 KJV
David’s throne of the kingdom is eternal Gods right hand in heaven that’s where Christ is reigning from now. There’s a kingdom in heaven where Christ is seated in the throne. The kingdom follows the king he brought it to earth and we see his word commanding evil spirits , raising the dead , forgiving sins , healing the blind and lame
if the kingdom wasn’t here throne things could t have happened Jesus is seated in the kingdom now earths chaos is because satan was cast out of heaven into earth because Christ has been seated in heaven mt sion and Gods city is In heaven
“But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,”
Hebrews 12:22-23 KJV
So when we see scriptire like this
“And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.”
Revelation 14:1 KJV
it’s showing you Jesus in heaven along with The faithful of Israel’s children.
My sion is in heaven it’s where the kingdom is now when we die who believe we are going to enter into that kingdom d in the end that heavenly kingdom will come to the new earth
“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.”
Revelation 21:1-
the kingdom was announced on earth so people can enter it and it is in full swing in heaven as satans war is in full swing on earth
Hi Pilgrim,
It looks like you are responding to both Charlie and I but, we are on opposite side of the discussion--I think its why it's helpful to read a few of a person's post before responding. I am in agreement with you--If you see my other post--the most recent with enumerated points-where I state that Christ is ruling and reigning now--sitting at the right hand of the father and in every believer. His work on this present earth was finished at the cross and there is no necessity (or scriptural support) for Him to come again to earth to rule a literal 1000 years. He comes a second time to gather the elect, to judge the world, then immediately all is destroyed --the unbeliever, the current heavens and earth and then God creates a new heavens and new earth where only 'righteousness dwells'.
