Pat Brown is fighting climate change with his company, Impossible Foods. I'm sure he's totally unbiased about getting rid of farm animals and forcing people to eat his plant-based "meats". I mean, it's not like he'll make money hand over fist if his company forces us to eat his food and bans us from real meat, right?
Speaking of forcing, tell me this doesn't sound like a threat:
"If you love meat and cheese and fish and milk and all those animal foods, you are not going to be thrilled with the idea of replacing them in your diet...But if someone said you have to replace that steak with a reasonable plant-based alternative, or we turn off your lights, your heat and get rid of your car and public transport, which would you choose?"
Personally, I'd rather go off grid and keep my chickens and goats and garden and ride a freaking bike with my flaring sciatica than be subject to a mandate like that.
But then, I'm stubborn like that.
