He is a big name with the Calvary Chapel movement especially in the area of eschatology. He has had a pretty big presence on YT/social media, co-hosted with his brother John Stewart on the Walter Matin's Bible Answer Man (not to be confused with Hank Hannigraaf- who defected to the Eastern Orthodox.).
I wish he was a personal friend as well.
 
As an update, they found his condition more troubling than first thought. Don will be facing open heart surgery some time this week.
