You can't because He never said anything like what you believe.
In fact just the opposite and I can show you.
Here we will start with this one...
Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Jesus didn't say it, He left that for the apostle Paul to tell us.
Jesus was the last prophet under the Old Covenant, He taught the Law, as He had to teach the Law.
The New Covenant had to be enacted by the death of Christ, so he couldn't tell us.
Christ chose Paul to do this in Acts 9"15-17,
"But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:
For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.
And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost."
Of course he is called Saul here, it's before he changed his name to Paul.
Saul is Hebrew, Paul is Greek.
I hope all you Christians believe all this you have said. I think it is great.
I love to see the Christians Idolizing Paul and quoting him like he is the the Word the way the life and the truth.
Praise Jesus. I wonder but do they obey lord Paul?
You spend more time watching tv than with Christ.
I know that Jesus does not get first place with your time.
So why is it? You tell me.
And was saved by grace the exact same way we are, and became the greatest Christian for the cause of Christ the world has ever known!
That's why the Holy Spirit gave Paul almost 1/3 of the New Testament to give to us.
No ...Jesus never said anyone was saved by grace.
He said you are saved by your faith.
In fact Jesus never said he came to save sinners
He said he came to call sinners to repentance.
You can read it it is right there in your own bible.
I am starting to think you do not know the Lord.
And Christ's perfection in us is not impractical...it is not only imputed but imparted also (1 John 3:7, Romans 5:19, Matthew 5:6).
Jesus substantiated Peter (said His Holy Spirit would guide him into all truth) in John 14:26, 16:13. Peter substantiated Paul in 2 Peter 3:15-16.
And Paul substantiated the rest of holy scripture in 2 Timothy 3:15-17.
So, Jesus indirectly substantiated Paul and the rest of the Bible.
True! But we can't live up to that perfection in this life. We will at the resurrection, our salvation will be made complete then.
