I offer for your consideration reasons why the oil is not symbolic of the Holy Spirit.
Why do you continue to contradict Scripture? Here is the proof that oil stands for the Holy Spirit: But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things... But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. (1 John 2:20,27)

The Holy One = the Holy Spirit = the Divine Teacher
An unction = the anointing = the same anointing = the application of oil symbolically

Now what was used in Scripture for anointing people? It was olive oil.
And of cassia five hundred shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, and of oil olive an hin: And thou shalt make it an oil of holy ointment, an ointment compound after the art of the apothecary: it shall be an holy anointing oil. And thou shalt anoint the tabernacle of the congregation therewith, and the ark of the testimony, (Exodus 30:24-26)

Olive oil in Scripture is anointing oil, and as we can see the term "anointing" is also used for the Holy Spirit. Therefore there can be no further disputing about this matter.

I offer for your consideration reasons why the oil is not symbolic of the Holy Spirit.

1. The Parable of the 10 virgins demonstrates that it's possible to run out of oil. That would mean the people exhaust their supply of Holy Spirit. In order to that that theory, we just need to show how that's a false narrative in order to scrap the idea the Holy Spirit is a commodity we occasionally need to refill.

Ephesians 1 says the seal of Holy Spirit is a promise and earnest of inheritance. "Running out of Holy Spirit" would be a broken promise and a lost inheritance, and God cannot lie. That makes your interpretation impossible.

Ephesians 1:13-14
13In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
This is what Jesus meant when he said Blessed is the "Poor in Spirit", he did;t mean blessed are the poor, he meant blessed are those who can never get enough of the Holy Spirit, but who continually thirst for in infilling of Gods Holy Spirit.

Of course, those who have not the Holy Spirit when Jesus returns will be left. Jesus told us he was going to spew the lukewarm out of his mouth. I think you miss the point Jesus is making, you have to keep your lantern (body) full of the Holy Spirit, else you are not prepared to meet the Groom.

The 10 Virgins represent all Christendom, the number 10 always equals Completion.

References to this in the bible:

1.) The 10 Commandments is a stand-in for all of God's Law.

2.) In Rev. 2:10 we see that Smyrna was told they would have tribulation for 10 days (The Complete Church Age)

3.) The 10 Horns of Rev. 7 and the 10 Toes of Rev. 10 do nor represent 10 Nations/Kings, but instead the complete number of European Nations who will eventually give their kingdom over freely unto the Beast. It was 27 with England/UK not it is 26.

4.) Any time a number us TIMED by 10 or 7 it is to emphasize the completeness of God, the 7 Eyes and 7 Spirits simply means God SEES ALL ad God is Omnipotent. Te 7000 Gid has saved unto himself represents all Israel who will eventually repent, as in 7 x 10 x 10 x 10 (He emphasizes Completeness like this). The 144,000 Make Virgins are not all male and they are not Virgins, they are ALL the Jews who repent, and thus Jesus' blood makes them whole (Virgins in spirit) just like ALL Christendom (10 Female Virgins) are not female likewise the 144,000 are not all-male in makeup. Just like the Woman in Revelation chapter 12 is a CODE for Israel, so is the 144,000 as in 12 (Fulness) x 12 x 10 (Completeness) x 10 x 10 = 144,000 or all of the Jews who repent, and Zechariah 13:8-9 says that 1/3 of the Jews will eventually repent (3-5 million Jews....3 million if only counting those in Israel and 5 million if counting, as I suppose, all of these worldwide).

So, the 10 virgin Brides represent ALL Christendom. Thus the 5 who are shut out f the wedding represents the FAKE Christians who have only a profession of the mouth, but not Holy Spirit living in them, does anyone think Biden or Pelosi have the Holy Spirit actually living in them? LOL. Does anyone think that any Christian who advocates fr Abortion and Homosexual marriage are going to make the wedding? No, they will be left at the Rapture, and then there will be what? Weeping and gnashing of teeth (meaning they have to go through the 70-week troubles. They can then come unto Chrst but most will become Martyrs, or theycan get on a knee and worship the Anti-Christ Beast, either way, their fate is sealed after they miss the wedding in Heaven, they will go through MUCH TROUBLES, no matter what choice the make, but on the other hand, all the Jews (144,000) who repent will be protected by God, who promised Abraham he would have a continual seed on this earth.

The Oi is thus the Holy Spirit, not forgiveness.
Half the bride had no extra oil.

They never stopped being virgins, they stopped being worthy virgins.

Jesus declared the solution. The "worthy virgin" solution..

" pray that you will be counted Worthy to escape the things about to come upon the Earth..."

In acts several times believers were filled with the Holy Spirit through the laying on of hands.(impartation.).

The foolish asked for oil impartation. " give us some of your oil" I suspect that you are trying to fit cessationism into the parable. I think that would cause the parable to not make any sense, because in the book of Acts Believers that were already saved, got filled via the laying on of hands with the baptism of the Holy Spirit.(impartation).... So if we incorrectly assume anybody saved already has the fullness of the Holy Spirit then all those infillings in the book of Acts, were incorrect. It's interesting that the Holy Spirit the author of The Bible inserted that dynamic were the foolish were asking for impartation and that would be the Holy Spirit. You can test fit other things such as Joy ,peace, salvation, but none of those things are emparted to others in the Bible. You might could try test fitting the word "truth" in there, but that doesn't fit either because sometime during the night they ran out of Truth. Or " they did not take extra " truth with them"....So that's too great of a stretch to try to force fit that into there.

Oil is type of the Holy Spirit.
That is established.

No reason at all to tamper with it.

What makes us worthy? Jesus' blood, thus they left their first love, thus they have not the Holy Spirit in them. The Holy Spirit will leave those who sin WILFULLY, God can not abide sin. When Jesus took all of our sins upon him, God left him all alone on the cross, thus "My God, my God, why have you forsaken (left) me?"

People will be in for a big surprise when they get left, if we love this world, the love of God is not in us.

Mat 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
Mat 25:2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
Mat 25:3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
Mat 25:4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

The oil seems to be the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

The vessels and the lamps are separate which the wise had the oil in both.

Which the Bible says the LORD's word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

So it could be the wise virgins had the anointing of the Holy Spirit to understand the word of God.

Which the Bible says that we need not any man teach us but the anointing of the Holy Spirit will teach us.

And the Spirit will guide us in to all truth, and show us things to come.

And the wise virgins had the oil in their vessels which is in themselves.

So they had the Holy Spirit in themselves active and helping them to understand God's word the truth.

The foolish virgins had no oil in the lamp, the word, or in themselves, the vessel.

We will not get to heaven unless we have the Spirit active in our life to work with us to guide us in to truth and regenerate us.

Mat 25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
Mat 25:7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
Mat 25:8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

It seems like a person confessing Christ can lose their way which they went back to the world and stopped allowing the Spirit to lead them.

Which the Bible says that a person who has been enlightened with the truth but goes back to the world is like a sow that is clean goes back to their wallowing in the mud.

Who says the 144,000 are Jews according to the flesh? Not Scripture

Think Scripture - All of IT and remember - there is only One Faith - One Gospel - One Body of Christ

For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10

And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus. Ephesians 3:6-7

For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. 14For in fact the body is not one member but many. 1 Corinthians 12:12-14

The foolish did have oil in their lamps but did not take oil with them - the wise had oil in their lamps and in their vessels.

The oil in the lamps of the foolish ran out = 2 Thess 2 , 1 Timothy 4:1 , Matthew 24:10

The wise had oil in their lamps and in their vessels so that their lamps never went out and they were never in the dark.
But you, brothers, are not in the darkness so that this day should overtake you like a thief. - 1 Thess 5:4

The Oil is symbolic of the Holy Spirit and the Oil in the Vessels is symbolic of being filled with the Holy Spirit = Acts.

Modern christianity has rejected the necessary "filling of the Holy Spirit" as they have replaced HIM with religion and carnal intellectual religious academia.

The Parable of the Ten Virgins
Matthew 25:1-13
1Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 4But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. 9But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 10And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. 11Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 12But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. 13Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

The oil is forgiveness from God. The worthy sinner gives forgiveness to others, but people cannot give to others forgiveness from God. The Five Foolish Virgins (FFV) lost their oil (forgiveness) because they fell asleep (sinned) and wanted mercy from the Five Wise Virgins (FWV), but FWV could not give them mercy because only God gives mercy for sin.

The FWV said to the FFV, "go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves" which was a test. The FFV failed the test, rather than asking the Bridegroom (BG) for more oil and standing watch for His arrival, they left and went asking others for help. The test was to see their faith in the BG because the FFV were supposed to ask God for forgiveness from Heaven and not humans for forgiveness.

The reason the FWV were let into the marriage was because they did not fall asleep (sin) and they were waiting for the BG. The FFV should have waited for the BG to come to ask for more oil (forgiveness), but instead they went looking for forgiveness elsewhere. Mercy is a blessing from God and God will have mercy on repentant people.

The Parable of the Ten Virgins, in summary, is that Jesus will recognize forgiveness and sin. If you fall asleep then ask God for more oil. Don't go looking elsewhere for oil. Have faith in Jesus and keep watching for Him and ask forgiveness if you sin. Under no circumstances is someone supposed to stop watching for the BG or not confess their sin(s) to God.
Can't agree. Oil is symbolic of the Holy Spirit, the anointing. Oil is for light. Sleep is an euphemism for death, not sin.

Both wise and foolish virgins started off well. But the foolish allowed themselves to become complacent and passive. They lost their zeal. Christians have to be careful to maintain a close relationship with God. The Christian life is not automatic. This was the problem with the Laodiceans. This is not to do with eternal life and heaven. It is to do with rewards and placement in God's kingdom.

Christians cannot contract out their Christian lives to pastors or other ministries. We are a body but we are judged by what we do as individuals. If you neglect spiritual food, don't be surprised if you suffer spiritual malnutrition.

Notice in the Parable of the Ten Virgins, the wise tell the foolish to go buy more oil:
Matthew 25:9-10

9But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 10And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

Now notice in Acts 8:12-22 says that attempting to purchase the Holy Spirit with money is a sin:
Acts 8:18-22

18And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, 19Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. 20But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. 21Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. 22Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.

What this means is that the five wise virgins could not have been telling the five foolish virgins to go buy more Holy Spirit with money or they would have been sinning.

That fails to make a one-to-one correlation to the Holy Spirit of God being oil.

I think the oil can feasibly be anything but the Holy Spirit, as far as I can tell, and I have good reasons for believing so. What I have yet to see is any correlation between the Holy Spirit and oil elsewhere in scripture.

I think forgiveness fits the oil most aptly, but to each their own.

People will be in for a big surprise when they get left, if we love this world, the love of God is not in us.
read the 7 letters in rev.

You will see the remedy for what needed CORRECTING.
You are omitting the dynamic of the already saved and mature needing adjustments. Worthy vs unworthy. Not saved vs unsaved.

Then consider crowns in heaven.

Some have many

Some have none.

You are connecting or removing salvation to the already saved and missing several dynamics.

PARABLE PARABLE PARABLE

In the PARABLE, YES they can tell them to buy oil and it not be sinning, but telling the Truth = in the PARABLE.

There is a TRUTH in the wise saying to the foolish - "go buy oil for yourselves"

Acts 8:18-22 is not a Parable - It is Literal.

Now, dwell on the Parable and see if you can discern what the Truth is as to why the five wise virgins told the five foolish to "go buy oil".

This is crucial - very crucial.

PEACE
No. Jesus would not have used examples of righteous wise virgins encouraging sinning in order to teach a spiritual lesson to His followers. Do you seriously believe that?

100x already - this is a RARABLE

YOU are adding sin to the wise virgins in the Parable - Not the LORD

YES, Jesus in fact told the Parable exactly the way it is for a crucial reason

100x = you cannot buy the Holy Spirit = Acts 18 = has nothing to do with the parable of stating "go buy oil".

Let me know when you want to know - PEACE

You are adding sin to the Wise virgins by interpreting the oil to mean the Holy Spirit. The point of me telling you all of this is to prove to you that the oil is not the Holy Spirit and Jesus did not use parables of wise righteous people telling others to go sin.

The oil is something else, I encourage you to prayerfully consider the oil is forgiveness.
