There's a lot of truth in that. Self-esteem (me-me-me) doctrines began as a liberal agenda ... but the conservatives have latched onto that and turned it into an art form (self idolatry).

Twisting the truth was originally a liberal agenda ... but again one the right has embraced and elevated to the level of origami.

Both are cases where the "party of God" has taken a lie and sold it to the people of God - in the process, becoming the false prophets who lead His people astray.

2 Timothy 2: 3&4 say we are to soldiers of Christ, and that soldiers do not get involved in civilian affairs.

Can that not be interpreted to mean God's people should stay out of earthly politics?
