If you sow unto the spirit you reap of the spirit, if you sow unto the flesh you reap of the flesh.

30 minutes of praise and worship will sow unto the spirit just as 30 minutes of rock and roll will sow unto the flesh.

2 hours in Christian fellowship sows unto the spirit just as 2 hours at a bar sows unto the flesh.

You won't see the difference immediately, but in a few months or a few years those seeds will grow up and you will be reaping what you sowed.

Appreciate your participation Pureness, but I suggest you chose the correct Forum for Threads such as these.

They are better suited for the Bible Discussion Forum.

News Forum is to discuss Local, State, National, International News Stories and are suppose to be accompanied with Reports that have appeared in one of the News Media Outlets.

just saying,

God bless

The opposite of sowing is doing nothing. We are to be workers in the fields sowing the good news so that God may reap the rewards of born again souls.

There are two types of sowing, evil and spiritual.

Wicked:
Job4:8 Even as I have seen, they that plough iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same.
PR.16:28 A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.
Ga.6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man SOWETH,that shall he also REAP.
For he that SOWETH to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption;

Spiritual:
Ho.10:12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
Ga.6:8 For he that soweth to his FLESH shall of the FLESH REAP CORRUPTION; but he that soweth to the SPIRIT shall of the Spirit reap LIFE EVERLASTING.

Ga.6:9 And let us NOT BE WEARYin well doing: for in due srason we shall REAP if we faint not.

p_rehbein: You might also go to sites where I have been, asking a Biblical question that was not necessarily related to the specific site. I've noticed there were few here who had your same thought but graciously and politely responded. I have been into different threads and like Pureness asking a question OR quoted a Scripture that was on my heart.

I must think you did not mean intentional harm with your posting but I do disagree with it. Looking above the name of this room is "Christian Chat" I mean no disrespect with my posting I just feel that any room should welcome questions asked especially those that are in reference to our Lord and Savior. Thanks to everyone who did respond to Pureness's question. Respectfully, Sherry

The Law of Sowing and Reaping is a universal law that applies in both agriculture and in spiritual matters. What it simply means is that if you sow wheat you should not expect barley. And if you sow evil you should not expect good, The Bible says that if you sow the wind, you will reap the whirlwind. If you sow the seed of the Gospel, you will reap a harvest of souls.

Since this is in the Christian News forum, this principle can be applied to all the feckless and cowardly politicians, as well as the wicked and evil ones. They are all sowing destruction on America, and America will soon be destroyed.

I am going to be 72 in a few months, saved since I was 24 in 1974. The KJV Bible says He that sows to the flesh reaps corruption. Honestly, "Sowing and Reaping is like saying your sin will find you out. " I have problems relating to my drug use when I was younger . We don't get away with anything . What we sow we reap. Like the alcoholic reaps a bad liver or the adulterer "sears his conscience as with a hot iron." The believer can be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. We can grow callous in our hearts if we are not "keeping our heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life". So we forgive because we are keeping our heart with all diligence and because we sowed obedience we reap the benefit of Gods wisdom and avoid a hardening of the heart .

And, to all of the undiscerning citizens who sow fear instead of knowledge of the truth - is this really what you want all of us to reap? :
