Everything you said in Post 165 is unbiblical with emphasis on "This has nothing to do with reject the scripture."
and "There is no scripture reference for this teaching.
And it is obvious that this gifts were given to special people for an special time."
Post 152 - The most of those who believe and expierenced the gift of speaking in tongues does it in combination with the baptism of the Holy Spirit. And this teaching came up on the beginning of the last century in the USA.
This I cant find taught to any Christian in the NT.
Now, i answered you.
Now please go to the OP and answer according to Scripture - not your opinions.
Seek the Truth
be like Ruth
where she sought food
in the land of Judah
Christ who came from this Tribe
Could not be bought with any Bribe
His heart was True
to His Father - that's Who
now be like Him who did not sin
Feast on His words
that impart Life within
Thank you for answered.
You judge my questioning this teaching as unbiblical, wirhout showing me that this teaching was taught in the bible?
Show me were it is taught to other believers that speaking in tongues is a sign that someone got the Holy Spirit In the bible.
If you cant show me, of course I hold this teaching for unbiblical.
The pentecostal movement is proud to claime that their beginning was in 1900 with Agnes Ozman, Topeka and later in Azusa Street. It is interesting that the RCC charismatic movement is also proud and see their beginning in 1901 because the Pope Leo XIll declared the century to the Holy Spirit inspired through the italian nun Helena Guerra who asked him to renew the church through a turn to the Holy Spirit and his Gifts.
You told me I am unbiblical because I said special gifts were given special people for a special time.
Samson had his Power for a special time for a special purpose.
Can you show me one Single believer today, through whom such miracles are done as from Paul? (f.e. acts 19,11-12)
Out of the montanism, which startet around in the year 160, there is not to found that speaking in tongues was practised in the churches anymore. And people join this movement because they remebered the apostolic time ( f.e. what was useual in the corinthian church) and thought it was from God.
So show me where this teaching is biblical.
Then I am glad to join your view.
