I will just as soon as you show me what the church is doing after chapter 4 in revelation.

They are waiting for the AoD to occur which is the start of the GT.

Mat 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
Mat 24:16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
Mat 24:17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
Mat 24:18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
Mat 24:19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
Mat 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Mat 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
Mat 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Mat 24:25 Behold, I have told you before.
Mat 24:26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

There's no rapture here. The people he says will watch for the AoD are on Earth and have to go hide in the mountains. They are there when false Christ is there which is why he warns not to believe anyone that says He has returned. That's the church who is promised to enter the GT and see the AoD and hear the false claims of the second coming having already happened.

Want to see the rapture? Here it is:

Mat 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Mat 24:28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
Mat 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
Mat 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Mat 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

The rapture is there in red. No gathering of anyone before or during the GT.

That's interesting. Thanks for sharing your perspective. I am not opposed to the oil in the parable of the ten virgins representing the Holy Spirit, but I am not convinced.

I am toying with the interpretation that the oil could be love to see how that harmonizes with scripture.

What I see is this is a wedding. Why do people get married? Ideally for love. Five of them ran out of oil. Ever met a girl who's obsessed with you? She isn't going to run out of oil if it means she'll miss her chance to be with you always.

These five virgins were lazy, careless, apathetic, and didn't have their priorities right to give their man the 100% devotion and love he deserves. They had one job, to have enough oil, keep their lamps lit, and they ran out of oil. What a blunder. No wonder the bridegroom refuses to marry them, saying, 'I don't know you" because they weren't in love anymore. He didn't want to marry some virgins who were not fully committed.

What do you think?
In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

What do you think?

lol, no. Christ is talking about his followers when AoD appears and what they should and should not do like listen to people who claim Jesus has returned. Jews in Israel don't believe in the second coming.

Oil what is it? Did the 5 virgins lack love as some believe or is it the holy spirit.

When David was anointed with oil, the scripture passage above says the Holy Spirit empowered him. Oil represents this presence and power of the Spirit of God throughout the Bible. Jesus was often referred to as the Anointed One, using oil as a metaphor for the Holy Spirit being present and acting in Christ.

In Luke 4:18, Jesus says, “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor …”

In Acts 10:38 the first Christians recounted,“You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power …”

When anointing is referred to in the Bible, it talks about the Spirit coming upon or influencing the individual, even Jesus. It signifies either the invisible presence of the Holy Spirit or is a plea for action by Him to empower or strengthen the anointed. The anointing with oil symbolizes that the individual is filled with the Spirit of God.

YES, and remember - there is no 'caught away' until His Coming and the Resurrection takes place First and Foremost.
Any other word, person, letter or prophecy that speaks contrary to His Coming for Resurrection of His Saints is a lie.

But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who [c]sleep in Jesus.

15For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are [d]asleep. 16For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18Therefore comfort one another with these words.
Glad we can agree.

Once again, the pre-trib error is exposed and falls short of the Glory of God.

None of His Saints are 'Left Behind' - not one.

Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Not one of His Saints will be left behind.

The error of pre-trib is a cancer that continues to eat away at 'sound doctrine' inside the hearts and minds of those who embrace it.

Vain babblings over words = harvests, left behind, and more.

Not once has pre-trib ever found in Scripture and not once will you ever find 'Left Behind Saints' who missed His Coming.

You do not understand Matthew 25:1-13

When do these 'second chance' tribulation saints get resurrected???
According to your doctrine and beliefs they are resurrected in rev 20 which shows no resurrection a day after the second coming.

They get resurrected as they are martyred because we see martyrs in heaven that are so many they cannot be counted.

They are innumerable

The 144k are also in heaven with no direct explanation.
They are either raptured or they martyred and resurrect. But they are definitely in heaven and that is during the tribulation as depicted in Revelation 14, the first Fruit jews gathered

The parable of the `10 virgins` has to do with Israel. The Body of Christ was not known at that time and the Lord was reminding Israel of the promises of God to them.

`Now I say that Jesus Christ has become a servant to the circumcision for the truth of God, TO CONFIRM THE PROMISES MADE TO THE FATHERS.` (Rom. 15: 8)
Jn 3:16 destroys your notion.
Plus Jesus ministered to gentiles.

You said: "But keep in mind saint the rapture is not the second coming."

PROVE IT - because as of right now - you just told a complete lie
Wow
We have done just that.

Rev 14's gathering PROVES your supposed dead in christ postrib resurrection has the dead in Christ raised after the living in DIRECT CONFLICT with 1thes 4.

You place THE DEAD IN CHRIST erroneously resurrected AFTER the rev 14 gathering.

I have yet to see you address "SETTING."
Every single rapture verse, hands down, has a peacetime setting.
ALL OF THEM.

NOAH..LOT.

Both gathered pretrib.

"Like manner"....look at the setting!
You have no standing in any setting of what you are trying to reframe the bible into.

Were in fellowship with the wise
Were watching and waiting for Jesus.

Do you think that post changes anything?

You just generally oppose what i researched with no verses or any proof at all.

You still pursue the notion.

You have a notion.

Your notion has no substance.

You will not address "setting"
You think Noah And lot are delivered after the flood/ judgement.
You are totally turned around and confused over factss of the 10 virgins.

You confuse " oil" , "lamps", "virgin", and "light"......ascribing those components to unsaved, when that reframing is impossible.

You run from " like manner" in acts 1.

You can not reconcile rev 14 with 1 thes 4.

You apparently think rev 20 has 2 second comings since those on thrones could have been sitting there for a year. But you falsely place a rapture there anyway.

But since you confuse noah, why not those on thrones as well?

Like i said...you are correct on other things, but insist on a failed debunked view on end times?????

1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

The foolish take only their lamps, which have a reservoir of oil but doesnt hold an overly large amount. The wise take extra containers of oil, vessels, so they have a larger supply.

Many believe that the oil is truth, or The Holy Spirit. It doesn't really matter for the purpose of the parable which it represents since all the virgins are intending to meet the bridegroom as verse 1 says, and all have lamps and oil, though some have more oil. However, I believe it represents truth and will allude to that in this work.

So who would have "some" truth and who want to meet Christ but fall short? I would say they are most Christians of today. They have the milk of the word, and they certainly want to go to Christ, but they dont have the whole truth and they believe doctrines like the pre-tribulation rapture.

The wise ones have more of the truth, they carry it on purpose, its more labor but they know it's important. These will have enough truth to know about the tribulation and the false Christ and they will stay true to Christ until He returns.

5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

The darkness at midnight will be the tribulation. The cry being made is by those who are the watchers, who are telling that the true Christ is coming even though the whole world sleeps because of the darkness. The 5 wise virgins are the elect and the ones "calling" that the true Christ is coming are the watchers and the two prophets. When this call is made by them the elect will "wake up" and trim their lamps and use that oil they have. They get all this extra oil before the tribulation, which is now, through the teachings of those God has anointed with truth, that oil. So, even the wise 5 virgins slumber right until Christ was announced!

7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

The lamps of the foolish are out because they were on all night and they ran out of oil, and they didnt have enough oil to light them up again. At some point in the night the foolish ones were in complete darkness, their "nightlights" went out. The wise had light/truth all night (think of the night as the tribulation). The lamps of the wise did not go out during the early part of the night.

The wise had a lamp that had oil plus they brought an oil container like above. The foolish only had a lamp with some oil and it was lighted but they didn't have the oil container which is why their lamps went out while the slept. This means they were in darkness without even knowing it. Those that take the mark of the beast and those who commit Apostasy will also be in spiritual darkness in the Great Tribulation and they won't even know it until it is too late to do anything about it.

Also, this trimming of lamps has something to do with adjusting the wick. In the days before electricity most people had either candles or oil lamps going through the night. The trimming probably refers to extending the wick so the flame would grow larger and emit more light. Only a modest flame would have been needed while they slept.

9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

Certainly this is another reference to the tribulation:

Luke 17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
Luke 17:29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
Luke 17:30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

"they bought, they sold". If this example was compared to the end times before the destruction came would be like the tribulation period, this buying and selling etc....and the destruction would be Christ's return and the wrath of God 7th trump. Lot would be the elect who are gathered by angels.

10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

I think the foolish "bought" or bartered their "virginity" for the oil they got. There were no 24 hour stores in this time as there is today. No honest person would be selling after midnight so where they went, who they bought from and what they had to give is seriously questionable. Regardless, the wise ones are TAKEN to the marriage by the bridegroom and the foolish will be LEFT behind exactly as the One taken and one left also taught by Christ. It's the same story with the same players and in the same exact order.

In my opinion, when it says the 5 foolish go out to buy, they do buy "false oil", false teachings....they take the mark and are therefore allowed to "buy and sell".

The elect in the tribulation won't take the mark and won't be allowed to buy and sell, but if the parable of the ten virgins helps at all then we know that there won't be any need for any wise virgins to buy anything because they prepared ahead of time with extra oil.

11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

One interesting thought is what would have happened had the 5 foolish virgins remained, with unlit lamps, and were there while Christ had returned? It seems a critical element is that they were gone when he arrived. They were late because they hadn't been properly prepared for his return. They were lacking something and realized it too late.

This whole parable applies to His return and symbolically how the world will be divided up, those who are foolish and those who are wise, those with enough oil and those that had some of the oil but ran out of it at the wrong time.

they all were virgins
they all had lamps
they all had some oil for part of the night
they all had lamps that were lit for part of the night
they all waited for the bridegroom
they all slept
they all awoke when the watchman called out
they all trimmed their lamps

the part that is different is that the wise had plenty of oil and the
foolish didn't.

then the differences start:

the wise get ready for the bridegroom
the foolish leave in search for oil

the wise meet the bridegroom
the foolish arent there to meet him

the wise are taken to the wedding
the foolish are not allowed to enter the wedding

the wise are accepted
the foolish are not

Luk 12:35 Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;
Luk 12:36 And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.
Luk 12:37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
Luk 12:38 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.

We are to let our lights burning to be ready when he cometh and knocketh! If you don't have enough oil your light will not burn, will not shine!

This is also the same type of people as the foolish virgins:

Mat 13:5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
You took one word " truth" and reframed the parable to make the foolish virgins into heathens. The foolish asked the wise to give them some of their oil, or ,the Holy Spirit .
We see in Acts the Holy Spirit was transferable through the laying on of hands.
We also see that Jesus said I am the way and the truth so you're saying that they, the wise virgins, we're asking for some of the truth, the same truth they all had, or asking the wise to give them truth. This seems highly unlikely and out of step with the parable because Jesus told the disciples "tarry in Jerusalem until you are in dude with power."
Jesus was speaking of the anointing, and we see the anointing many times in the book of Act. The anointing of God is consistently in the Bible has power. Jesus did no miracles until after his baptism and he received the Holy Spirit. Jesus was empowered by the Holy Spirit coming upon him . And he immediately faced the devil after he got the power. Jesus told the church not to do anything at all until they got the power or the anointing/ Holy Spirit.

Nope
Anywhere it says be ready and watch it is talking about the rapture.
Pretrib rapture is easily defended.

Look at the one taken / left.

What does it say in conjunction with it? What is the next wording????
Watch and be ready.
How did Jesus frame the setting for Noah and the one taken / left???

"BEFORE THE FLOOD"

Cant be anything but a pretrib rapture.

Yes
Basically the anointing is the equipping for a job. Power to do.
