This thread is about people (preachers especially) you thought could never fall away but did just that.

For me, one of the most shocking examples of someone so apparently sound who did fall away at the end was Billy Graham. He became an ecumenist and openly taught that Catholics and Muslims who were "sincere" would be saved. He appeared on Robert Schuller's Hour of Power program in 1997. This video clip is unbelievable. The way Graham tells it, basically anyone and everyone will be saved! Not surprisingly, Schuller laps it up: "I'm so glad to hear you say that. There's a wideness in God's mercy." Straight from the Devil's mouth.

Billy didn't actually understand the Gospel, for to Truly Understand the Gospel, one must be Enabled. And this explains why Billy could only describe the Gospel and not actually explain it. "Hey Billy! What's the Gospel?" And like us all, he would likely reply, "It's the Good News of Jesus Christ!"

Ahhh . . . Brilliant. That explains it.

And that's where we are today. Sure, everyone can describe the Gospel, but they cannot explain the mechanics of it. To date, I've never heard a single soul explain the Gospel, thus we have the "Remnant." Only the Remnant can explain the Gospel.

The gospel is so amazing, so broad, so deep and so high that no one can explain it. All we can do is preach it. The Holy Spirit convicts and enlightens the one who hears, if that person is receptive.

I was led to the Lord by a Methodist. We were on a warship at sea. I don't know exactly when or where. I was born again. I did not know that at the time. All I knew was that my sins were forgiven and that something about me was different. 50 years later, I know a little more. As God told Judson Cornwall, "You don't know the full gospel. And if you did, your life would no be long enough to preach it."

You want to be careful about judging the servant of another. Billy Graham was an evangelist. He preached to people all over the world, even in North Korea. You are asking to be judged the way that you are judging Billy Graham.

Do you claim to be one of the remnant? If so, what wonderful insight into the gospel do you have that sets you apart?

I asked God how it was possible for people who had never heard the gospel to be saved. I was greatly troubled by this. I was reminded that the heavens speak of God, something I'd experienced myself some years before I was saved. The Lord said to me that it anyone truly wanted to know Him, He would make it possible for that person to be saved. I accept that God has the wisdom, the power, the love, the mercy and the grace to save anyone who calls upon His name. (Acts 2:21). Now I know that people must accept Christ in order to be saved. I also know that God is well able to arrange circumstances so that an individual can hear the gospel. Even on a warship, hundreds of miles from anywhere, in a workshop, from a Methodist.

Thats not a righteous judgement Only GOD can see the heart man looks at outward appearances.

Is it the case maybe, that unless they do it "your way" that you consider them to have "fallen"?

I can't speak for anyone else, but Christ has Circumcised my heart from the Curse of the Lord, therefore, I am complete and whole in Christ.

Colossians 2:9-11 NLT - "For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority. When you came to Christ, you were "circumcised," but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision--the cutting away of your sinful nature."

True Christians will relate to Colossians 2:9-15, for these Seven Perfect verses describe the Work and Effect of Christ that has Transformed their lives. But if Transformation has not taken place, these passages will be tossed out like trash.

If we are "in" Christ, as Christ is "in" the Father, and if there is no corruption within the Father, then a True Christian has also been made whole and "complete."

John 10:38 NLT - "But if I do his work, believe in the evidence of the miraculous works I have done, even if you don't believe me. Then you will know and understand that the Father is in me, and I am in the Father."
1 John 3:5 NLT - "And you know that Jesus came to take away our sins, and there is no sin in him."

Pastors? Why aren't you teaching the obvious?
