A resurrection makes that possible. Here's what happens: a living human's body dies, which is the first death. They were not saved so on judgment day they are resurrected, judged and then they die a second time but there are no more resurrections so they stay dead forever.
I've said over and over again, that it does include the meaning of DEATH (from off of this earthly existence, as the case may be in certain texts; or away from His presence forever as in 2Th1:9).
But recall, "death and hell/hades DELIVERED UP the DEAD" in the Rev20:13 context.
And v.10 states that the lake of fire that they (v.15 persons) are cast into is "unto the ages [plural] of the ages [plural]" and in every occurrence this phrase MEANS THE SAME THING (21x). And recall, "death" itself is also "cast into" at that time... (for it will be "rendered inoperative" or "useless" [G2673], at that point-- https://biblehub.com/text/1_corinthians/15-26.htm ).
We ALL deserve to be eternally separated from God. However His great mercy is offering us the opportunity to be forgiven and have our spirit alive unto God.
Remember that Christ is `Lord of both the dead and the living.` (Rom. 14: 9)
If people were non existent physically and in their souls then they would not have Christ as Lord for they would extinct.
Scripture nowhere says that. In fact, quite the opposite, as man is called mortal more than once, and we are told also that:
He (God) alone is immortal and dwells in unapproachable light.
However when you say they are resurrected then die again after judgment then you are negating that Christ destroyed physical death.
`He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. The LAST ENEMY that will be destroyed is DEATH.` (1 Cor. 15: 25 7 26)
The Great White Throne judgment is AFTER that!
Do you say the same of animals, who have the same breath of life animating their flesh?

The `breath of life` God gave Adam, his soul, was not immortal, but eternal. Immortal mean not corruptible, and we see what happened to Adam, his soul became corrupt.
God`s breath is eternal. (Gen. 1: 7. God cannot give anything of death from Himself.
You are mashing words together that do not belong. Eternal means without beginning or end.
Man has a beginning, even his soul. It is impossible for it to be eternal.
Yes we had a beginning. because we are made in God`s image we have been given an eternal soul.
God never said He gave animals, trees, birds, etc His breath of Life. They have life, according to their kind, but not the soul. We are made in the image of God, they are not.
and the beast is also cast into the lake of fire -- this is is the second death -- where all who are not written in the Lamb's book of life also go.

for sure God can do all things - He can annihilate; He can do all things. but this is what He does.

trees, no. but all animals & birds, yes. they are all living souls just as we are, and they all have the same breath of life just as we do.
