This depends on which adversary you are referring to. the adversary in which this scriptures refers to is the one in which you have sinned against such a living human being. the adversary i am speaking of is the one who does not want you to be forgiven or feal forgiven and reminds you of sins, that you have been forgiven for and reminds you of sins he (satan) miss lead a person into doing then blames them for there wrong doing of falling for temptation when he had no right to tempt you in the first place (a law unto himself advasary (satan playing God in a twisted way because hes twisted). then theres the adversary who reminds you of wrong doing you where once convicted over and forgiven for. then theres the human being who does not know if the other person is forgiven.
When satan accuses you, just agree with him that you sinned (unless you know that his accusation is a lie) and then plead the blood of Jesus.
