Even on a laptop or a desktop you will still have to download the app plus whatever else it states your particular set-up is required to work effectively. Apparently, the install is a glitchy process. On the main CC page it used to list the apps for various devices but it's now gone for some reason. In the User Tech forum there are suggestions on how to access the chat room. Yes, real time chat rooms. I have not yet installed the app and have not been in the chat rooms since the site changed the format in May 2018.
