Growing in the Spirit

You have a great attitude, and will go far with that. I do think it likely that God has given you a key that works specifically for you, and a key that can also help others. I know that God gave me a key years ago when I was in a state of indecision. I had a trouble being double-minded about what to believe, because good men disagreed with one another.

God led me to accept only what He has shown me, and not worry about others, except to give them an honest consideration--they may be correcting something I need to have corrected. But as far as reading the black and white of Scriptures, I should not be afraid to believe what I see is clear before me.

He also showed me a way to verify what I believed about the Scriptures, seeing doctrines rooted in previous passages. There is a connection between various passages that enable us to verify what they mean.

There were some basic promises God made, such as the Abrahamic promises. And there were key prophets who provided fundamental eternal truths that were referred to later on, such as the Prophet Daniel.

Certain doctrines that Paul taught had a basis in the Law of Moses. And like you said, Peter provided a balance to Paul, as well or cordiality. James also balanced Paul's emphasis on Grace with an emphasis on Christian Law.

And so, I agree with you that unity among brothers brings confirmation and balance. It also pleases the Lord because it demonstrates His unity among us, His presence in our midst.

yes I agree with pretty much all you said as far as I’m understanding it. And always appreciate your same spirit that’s consistent in my interactions with you always a brotherly kindness even if we aren’t seeing eye to eye , which seems to be the challenge for many of us, when we aren’t completely agreeing seems to be when the division and carnality rears it’s ugly head

I think at times we have all suffered in that I know I have through my life. Over time I’m learning that it’s not our job to make things grow , but to scatter seed is the purpose of some , then to water the job of some , to prune the job of some , fertilize the job of others and so on but it’s only God who is able to make us grow and bear fruit.

I’m not really sure of my own place in it , but I do know I want to be a benifit to others in some small way that turns them towards Christs word and love for them. I believe he is able to save souls and want to somehow help others who belong to him to adjust thier eyes just a smidge and look more to the gospel of the kingdom , because i feel it is rewlly
Neglected In The doctrines we hear most often.

I’m learning that without love we truly become clanging symbols and beat a drum that’s out of Rythym and caused many to shut thier ears, and I’m working to be better myself in many areas and just hoping some seed falls out in a others heart that will take root and God will cause to flourish through the time and care and brotherly love of others as they grow and mature

Time and circumstance happens all the time, and God governs the way He sees fit. Some think they have God down and figured out, but they are only moving within a calling that they've received. God is really beyond figuring out, and does as He pleases. Thank goodness He's good!

The sacrifice Jesus made bought our salvation. Why don't you accept that anymore?

I do believe it, but the price our Lord "paid" was for preaching the word of God,

Being a Jew does not make anybody a better Christian! He was *not* faithful when he misled you about Jesus being made a "sin sacrifice."

"You have no need that anyone should teach you, as his anointing teaches you all things."

I didn't say murderers were performing a "pure" act! Jesus himself was sinless and pure when they put him to death, wrongly. That enabled him to forgive sinners for what they do to God. That is the "sin sacrifice" I'm talking about. But you've abandoned orthodox doctrine for a Jewish friend, thinking someone Jews have an edge on Christian interpretation of doctrine.

Actually, I see the gospel from the correct Jewish perspective.

Yes, all sin against God was forgiven when Jesus experienced that sin as a human being. That is what becoming a "sin sacrifice" was for Jesus. It was the opportunity to provide forgiveness when they accept him as their way, truth, and life.

I don't have any problem with what you're saying here, as long as you mean,

But he, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity and destroyed them not: yea, many a time turned he his anger away, and did not stir up all his wrath. Psa.78:38

Because Jesus is as his Father is. And speaking of his wrath, do you believe God poured his wrath out on his Son?

I agree. But can you explain HOW to "walk in the Spirit"? Actually, Paul commands believers to "be filled with the Spirit" in Eph 5:18 and to "walk by means of the Spirit" in Gal 5:16. After describing the behavior of our "flesh" in v.17-21, Paul then describes the fruit (singular) of the Spirit in v.22-23.

So, how do believers produce this fruit?

Also, Paul commands believers to NOT grieve the Spirit (Eph 4:30) or quench the Spirit (1 Thess 5:19). This shows what believers who are NOT being filled or walking by the means of the Spirit are doing.

it’s that simple to begin hearing and believing Christs word that he preached about God the Father and his children. To be taught by Christ believing and follow where that leads us is to walk in the spirit.

to let his word into our mind and heart fills us with his spirit, fills our minds and hearts with the spirit and truth of the gospel and begins to be our guide through life teaching us how to treat others Gods way , how to think of others Gods way , how to live our lives Gods way. How God wants us to live and act towards one another.

he teaches us everything we need to know about God the Father and we his children. And that’s the doctrine of the spirit the throngs Christ taught when God was manifest himself on the earth teaching any and all who would believe and follow after him.

“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.”

we don’t have to be perfect and then come to him but in our imperfections we can come to him believe and hear the gospel and be filled with the word of truth and spirit and learn this understanding lesson by lesson , and that’s how we walk in the spirit by hearing and accepting the gospel of the kingdom as our own

“And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”

The prerequisite for a sacrifice for sin was to have no sin, no spot nor blemish. Christ was and is perfect.

No. to hear and believe the gospel is to ENTER into salvation. To be filled and walk in the Spirit involves spiritual growth of the believer.

Paul wrote the command to be filled with the Spirit to believers. So your answer doesn't make sense.

He was wounded because of our transgressions. In other words, what was done to our Lord Jesus was sinful. Spitting on him, mocking him, beating him, all of the abuse he suffered was sin against him.
