1Jo 5:2, By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments.
Jesus commandments exactly

“He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.”
‭‭John‬ ‭12:48-50‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Moses was given a law ordained by angels because they transgressed immediately so God turned them over to the angels and Moses until this happened they literally
Asked not to hear Gods word

“According to all that thou desiredst of the Lord thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.

I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, ( like Moses ) and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭18:16, 18-19‬ ‭

we find out who that is from Jesus and then Peter confirms it

“For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.

Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭3:22-24, 26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

They were told the messiah would come and teach them Gods word and until that day the law was all they had but it wasn’t Gods true word that has to be found in Christ and his word

It has been prophesied that heaven and earth must pass away.

This prophecy must be fulfilled before one jot or tittle of the law shall fail.
yea not according to what Jesus said which I’ve quoted for you

Clearly, "Thou shalt not kill" and "Thou shalt not commit adultery" are included in the law of liberty (James 2:10-12).

This would indicate that the law of liberty is the ten commandments;

Which have been referred to as "the ten promises" (see Psalms 119:66)
it actually doesn’t indicate that at all your saying this is the law of liberty ?

“Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

how is that liberty ? Isn’t that actually certain bondage and death given the rest of the law ?

Say an adulterer commits adultery

“And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.”
‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭20:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

liberty isn’t found in bondage brother but look what the gospel does for
An adulterer by overruling Moses law

“And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:3-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last:

and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:7, 9-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Moses exclusively called for people to witness against , condemn and also execute death penalties on sinners. The Ten Commandments are good but have you noticed “ Thou shalt not “ Thou shalt not “ Thou shalt not “ and if anyone does they must certainly be put to death at the hands of the others among you ?

the gospel is contrary it’s about purifying the heart so we don’t desire to commit sin we don’t want to commit adultery , we have no desire to jill
Or steal Or Lie one is for sinners the other is about being born as Gods children. when Christ came he fulfilled what the law and prophets had said and gave the New Testament his words that will Never change

“The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭16:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the gospel was shown in a figure to
Moses as a witness of Christ , it isnt the law Moses preached it was preached 430 years before Moses birth to Abraham and promised through Isaac to his descendants.

And his descendants had no faith so they received the law of Moses from
Angels being transgressors .

“And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands. Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness?

…Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭7:41-42, 53‬ ‭

The gospel came with Christ

“Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

ask yourself why it doesn’t promise the Holy Spirit? Why doesn’t it offer remission of sins ? Why doesn’t it offer rebirth ? Y is the word Jesus preached contrary of what Moses preached ?

they were saved by Moses intercession , when God decided to destroy them, we aren’t saved by Moses intercession or word it’s still An accusation always will be

“Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:45‬ ‭KJV‬‬

because that’s the purpose of the law

“Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we can keep the law and it offers no justification because it’s not made for that purpose but for these people

“Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭1:9-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we have to be born again by the word of truth the kings word

“Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.”
‭‭John‬ ‭18:37‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Moses word has this effect

“And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which veil is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:13-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬
We are indeed justified through faith in the blood of Christ; which means that we are forgiven not by wokrs of righteousness which we have done.

Once we have been justified, the law isn't any longer a condemning taskmaster but a set of wisdom principles that we can go by in order to be blessed of the Lord (James 1:25).

Rom 6:17, But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
Rom 6:18, Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

Is not sin the transgression of the law (1 John 3:4)?

do you ever wonder why Jesus taught contrary to things from Moses ? Why he tells them “ you heard long ago this thing , but I Jesus am telling you This other thing? “

it’s because we have a New Testament from God himself as Moses promised would one day come
The kingdom that God established with the Hebrews had an earthly territory and many of the laws were explained to them in earthly terms, like cutting flesh to symbolize belonging to God. When Christ came with the kingdom of heaven, with its territory of heaven instead of geographical, we are to know the spirit of the law the earthly laws that were symbolic of the laws of the spirit. Christ did not change the spirit of the law when he took away the earthly commands.

According to scripture, we are not under the law (Romans 6:14) are dead to the law (Romans 7:4, Galatians 2:19) and have been delivered from the law (Romans 7:6) as concerning condemnation.

For we have been forgiven through the blood of Christ; and therefore when the Father looks down on us, He sees, not our sins, but the blood and righteousness of His Son Jesus Christ.

And therefore, in the Father's sight, the law does not any longer point the finger at us and call us sinners.

While from the perspective of the Holy Ghost, whose job it is to convict of sin and also to sanctify the believer, He has a relationship with us where He deals with us according to our sins according to the law (1 Corinthians 9:22, Romans 3:20).

As concerning obedience, we are under the law to Christ (again, 1 Corinthians 9:22).

The law is written on our hearts and minds through the New Covenant (Hebrews 8:8-10, Hebrews 10:16, Romans 8:7, Romans 8:4, 1 John 5:3, 2 John 1:6, Romans 13:8-10; Romans 5:5).

And again, we are not under the law (Romans 6:14), are dead to the law (Romans 7:4, Galatians 2:19) and are delivered from the law (Romans 7:6) as concerning condemnation;

while as concerning obedience we become obedient to the moral tenets of the law;

Not through attempting to obey a set of do's and don'ts (the letter); but through walking not after the flesh but after the Spirit (the spirit of what is written, Romans 7:6, 8:4).

As we bear the fruit of the Spirit, there is no law that will condemn us in our behaviour (Galatians 5:22-23). Thus, when we bear the fruit of the Spirit, we become law-abiding citizens of the kingdom of heaven (see Ezekiel 36:25-27).

This is a righteousness apart from the law that is nevertheless attested to be the law and the prophets (Romans 3:21) that it is indeed righteousness.

Because, this righteousness is not obtained by attempting to obey a set of do's and don'ts.

Rather, we obtain the Holy Spirit through faith in Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:14, Ephesians 1:13-14); and as we walk according to the Spirit, the righteousness of the law is fulfilled in us (Romans 8:4, Galatians 5:22-23).

That being said, it is written that if anyone turns his ear away from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be an abomination (Proverbs 28:9).

It is indeed faithful and true that those who are of the law are under a curse (Galatians 3:10, James 2:10, Matthew 5:48). However, this is as concerning those who are attempting to be justified by the law (Galatians 5:1-4).

For those who know that they are justified by the blood of Jesus Christ and not by their obedience / works / law-keeping, it becomes a blessing to look into the perfect law of liberty and to walk according to it (James 1:22-25).
What is the "perfect law of liberty" ???

We are indeed justified through faith in the blood of Christ; which means that we are forgiven not by wokrs of righteousness which we have done.

Once we have been justified, the law isn't any longer a condemning taskmaster but a set of wisdom principles that we can go by in order to be blessed of the Lord (James 1:25).
the law of Moses is for people who operate by their flesh. The gospel is about circumcision of the flesh and teaching the spirit

“Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:

But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:27-28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

which commandment is meant for the heart ? To be written on the heart ?

remember this aspect of Paul’s doctrine

“Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:9-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it’s really simple the Old Testament is for the old man whomis corrupt and. Reds to be told what not to do because his heart is corrupt

the New Testament is about being born again of the spirit so the command goes from speaking to the corrupt flesh saying “ don’t commit adultery or you must be put to death “ to instructing us of The heart and spirit

one doctrine has power to do this

“Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the other doctrine has power to do this

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭1:16-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the world is still Under the law because they have not come into the gospel and hears and learned of the spiritual things that free us they are of the flesh . We aren’t of the flesh doctrine that tells us we’re sinners and condemned and guilty we’re those who have already died to the flesh and are being raised up by the spirit in the gospel.

if we follow Christs doctrine like the example of adultery of heart and rod our minds and hearts of lust we’re following the spiritual doctrine , if we live by the command “ dont commit adultery “ we’re trying to live by the flesh doctrine. There’s an Old Testament for the old
Corrupt man that’s the law of Moses

“Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭1:9-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that doctrine can’t help us be born again and if we’re born again we need a law that speaks to the new man being created in Christs image with the Holy Ghost dwelling in us , you don’t need to instruct the hilt spirit not to kill , lie , cheat and steal commit adultery ect if we need to be told what not to do by the flesh it’s because we haven’t come into the gospel that creates new people by faith

“And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Christs gospel can achieve That but the law is about living by the flesh and trying to not sin two different things it’s why we have two testaments one is of Christ the other came through Moses and the prophets and hold a hidden witness of Christ

"like cutting flesh to symbolize belonging to God" - What are you saying here?
In the kingdom that God established with the Hebrews, God commanded that they cut foreskin as a symbol of belonging to God among other things it symbolized. It was an earthly kingdom with geographic limits.

When Christ came he came telling us: Matt. 3:2 “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” This kingdom replaced the kingdom of the Hebrews and its territory is heaven. It is the new covenant. Christ wants us to be citizens of this kingdom of heaven.

My concordance tells me there are 128 times the gospels and Acts speak of this kingdom, but only 14 times it speaks of repentance. The Lord is telling us that this kingdom is very, very important. We pray for it daily "thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven".

Question: Can the "falling away" also included this: people who have Bibles but not understand or follow His Words in it?
I think some fall Into this category who won’t yet allow the gospel to take the place of Moses law

“And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:

But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which veil is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:13-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

So like israel who received the law and became offended when Stephen explained the law was ordained of angels , sent through Moses the mediator and isn’t the same as the gospel which is of God , spoken through God and atoned for by the blood of Christ himself . They can’t understand Christ fulfilled the requirements of the law and took it away to offer a better and more effective testament that frees us from sins power in us

“For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭7:21-23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

so they can’t distinguish the flesh of the old commandment without spirit written on stone and ministering death to the hearers , from the spirit and the spiritual command that circumcises those issues from our heart and sets us free from the flesh and sins law within the flesh that is the devils snare and keeps men bound

“Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: ( that’s something you tell someone who’s filled with list constantly y struggling with that desire and has an eye for sexual fantasy and imagination )

But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:27-28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

what Jesus said is a commandment to our heart and spirit that if we let it in d follow his word and rod oirselves of list makes us free from that which makes us unclean. And we don’t ever need to hear “ don’t commit adultery “ because Christ has made us right inside and we don’t allow those thoughts and desires to dwell In us and take root we’ve been made free from adultery and it’s reigns on the flesh

same with hate , unforgiveness , greed and love of money , vanity , pride ect the gospel teaches us what our new spirit needs to know and follow , the law teaches us not to do what we want to do by the flesh

I’d saying the falling away would be somewhere here in my own opinion

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3:1

which sadly describes a lot of the church because the gospel is being misrepresented by many but Thy a The only my own thinking I think we fall away spiritually and let our love take the form of the world rather than what the gospel shapes us to be

"Denying the Power" - this says a lot and also refers greatly to the Holy Spirit

just like the commandment of circumcision went from flesh to spirit so do all the commandments go from flesh to spirit because as you are saying there’s a different kingdom from another world a spiritual kingdom that’s eternal

so we don’t follow the flesh commands , we don’t break them , but what we do is follow the spirit to all commandments of Christ and he accomplishes the circumcision of the heart it happens by following the right testament

“Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:

But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:27-28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we need to let our hearts follow the word of Christ so we cut off sin at the root ( our hearts motives and thoughts and desires ) the only reason someone commits adultery is because thier heart is leading them to it through lust and consideration of sinful secual
Desires of we follow Christs doctrine it leads us to a pure heart , pure motives we begin to get hold of the authority over our inner thoughts and desires so we’re never led to Commit adultery and no longer need to be told not to because Christ makes our hearts right by the gospel

"Denying the Power" - this says a lot and also refers greatly to the Holy Spirit
Uep , It’s the difference on saying I’m a Christian and coming into the doctrine of Christ where the power is to transform us from sinners into Gods children

“Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God.

He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.”
‭‭2 John‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

there’s power in the gospel in receiving and believing his word of eternal
Life that can’t be found elsewhere to change who we are at the core by faith

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

there’s transforming power in the gospel unlike any on earth able to deliver us from the power of sin rooted in us deeply Christs word and belief cuts the cords and bonds and sets us free

but what often hinders it is when we insist the word of Christ isn’t for us

i asked you these questions because, if you have been following the threads on pre-trib, it is leading to another gospel.
In fact, there is a heresy now going around and on this forum preaching "Two Different gospels".
Because pre-trib rapture never came out of the Mouth of God or from the Apostles, it has to change so many scriptures and clear instructions of the Word that it becomes a 'revised gospel' and in essence a false christ.
which says to me, departs from the truth and is no longer abiding in His Words
Having a form of godliness but denying the power.....

As Christians we live in the world, but we are not part of the world. Our orders come from Christ, and that is where our first loyalties lie. We obey the laws of the world unless they conflict with the laws of the kingdom we are citizens of--the kingdom of heaven.

(1 Jn. 2:16.) He said: “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Christ's entire prayer for us and his apostles in John 17 is about being in the world that is temporary but being a part of eternity.
