Well, there is a slender 'possibility' of Trump deluding the people.
What does that have to do with the title of the OP, "is america becoming a Pagan nation?'
Trump was one of the rarities who upheld Biblical values.
When it comes to paganism, you'd probably find more fertile ground to wallow in under Obama or Biden.

The world will rebel against God one day in favor of their own way, and that they will evolve spiritually and there is no personal God.

I believe the purpose of America is to start the separation between those that love God and those that do not love God.
For they are pagan and the plan they follow now is pagan and they allow much pagan things in America, and selfishness, and greed, and money, and material things, but they also allow the preaching of the Gospel in their nation, and to preach to the world unlike any other nation.

I often think about America and where it began and where we are now. I don’t think trump has a lot to do with it . The guy was a bit offensive in his rhetoric to many people , but also his policies were very good and strong ones for our country.
I always thought I wouldnt invite him to
A barbecue , but also he was pretty sound in how he was running the country policy wise . And always stood up for Christianity and the Bible ( though he didn’t really exhibit many fruits of the spirit himself )
Which is what I wanted in a president was strong agreeable policy. and the rhetoric didn’t bother me as much as many.
Honestly I feel as if the Biden presidency is going to sink us much more than trunk would have ever done. Biden smiles and everyone says he’s a nice guy , but his policies are so far left it’s crushing this nations foundations
pro abortion , pro same sex marriage , pro identity politics , pro transgender incorporation , always focused on race about everything , spending tax payers money on all those types of policies to the point of 3.5 trillion.
the devil always acts and presents himself as a nice guy but his policies are always anti God. I feel as if socialism and radical Left wing politics are going to be far far worse than a guy who had great policies but maybe wasn’t perfect on what he said and some found “ offensive “
I think we’ve reached a wierd point where it’s worse for someone to think you committed a micro aggression and somehow said something they don’t like than to push policies that are destroying the country. From the open border , anti law and order , to tax payer funded abortions , to paying people not to work , coming soon tax payer funded reparations for things that happened hindreds of years ago and no one alive today had anything to do with

I followed the election from Australia. It seemed to me that people did not want Mrs Clinton rather than being enthusiastic for Mr Trump. The exceptions were the Christians pushing the idea that Mr Trump was appointed by God to be a modern Darius, leading the people out of captivity and into the promised land once more. I don't hear much about that nowadays. I wonder why.
Americans have great expectations of leaders. Too much, it seems to me. Obama was supposed to be the Great Black Hope. Trump was the Great White Hope. Christians should be following the advice on their money. "In God we Trust".
2 Chronicles 7:14 is just as applicable today as when Solomon spoke those words. I am not convinced that the American church can see the problem. It's too busy blaming others. And yes, it's an issue for the Church in the free world generally.
The cult of personality is prevalent and dangerous. It is exactly this expectation of man that will open the way for a world leader to deceive the nations. We are not there yet. But that is where we are heading.

I'm a little confused by the title. Is this thread about the possibility that Trump is leading us down the path of paganism. If that's the question, my answer is no. What's going on is something that started long before Trump. It started with Christian political groups like Christian Coalition, Focus on the Family, Moral Majority and the like.
One of Trump's biggest blunders was inviting Paula White into his administration. For those not familiar, White's the leader of Paula White Ministries and she has a long history of shady activity. What Trump has opened the door to is the full-blown marriage of Christianity and politics. This plays directly into the New Apostolic Reformation's agenda of total control over all sectors of American culture and the "taking back of America for God."
Trump himself isn't a strong delusion, but the Christian agenda of taking over politics for God is the real delusion.

I am terribly frightened of him. He is admittedly abusive of women. In business, he had over a dozen bankruptcies. He lies constantly. Worse yet, he has the sound and appearance of my stepfather who abused me until I went at him with a hatchet. God saved me from killing him. I do not understand Trumpers.

The US is a very religious nation I would say, and not necessarily christian. You can worship any way you want, even if its at the church of scientology, wicca or coca-cola.
Native americans have tradtionally been kind of pagan but they also believe in the Great Spirit (over all the other spirits)
some people worship politicians and make idols of them. Definitely bizarre religious behaviour, considering politicians are mostly men with feet of clay

The truth is that it isn't our politics or our leaders that determine whether we are a pagan nation, they are only the results of what people believe. It has always been so, even with Napoleon and Hitler if you read history.
We each have a choice, we can be citizens of the world with the media leading our values. Scripture tells us the world is not of God, but of demons. Or we can be citizens of the kingdom of God, with Christ our leader and president. We are told to be in the world but not of the world. Almost every person spends hours filling their minds and souls with teaching from demons in the media and little time listening to the Lord.
In the 60's I had spent months at sea without any TV. When I went home and TV I was shocked at what others accepted as simply fun stories, stories that wouldn't have been allowed just months before. People had been gradually led up to accepting such filth so they simply accepted it. Starwars even presents us with an idol called "The Force".
