yes I understand what the term means, ...what I was trying to achieve is....if I was an atheist, how could all you Christians, describe your walk to me, ...if you told me all I had to do was believe in Christ, accept him into my life, and I am saved forever, I would be very skeptical, and reading how people attack each other on a Christian chat site, isn't very convincing.
yeah what your saying there about Christian behavior towards each other is written in scripture and says exactly what you are saying . When Christians go at each other it subverts those who hear and makes them see it like you just said
why would someone want to be part of a group that’s always arguing and it devolves into name calling and some behavior that seven year olds would be ashamed of so I get what you are saying because that’s why scripture says
on the other hand on a site like this there are a lot of false teachings about salvation , heresy that will deceive people who hear it . So some recognize that and disagree respectfully . There’s a difference in the subversion through biting and devouring each other because of pride or immaturity and discussing differences in belief.
I think if you have heard the saying “ too many chiefs and not enough Indians “ it sort of explains little bit. If you want to understand salvation you need to learn the gospel that Jesus Christ preached believe and follow him not just bekieve bat he exists , but believe the thkngs he taught his disciples ( Christians ) to believe and do

if your serious about wanting to know what Christians believe don’t listen to random Christians arguing on a chat site , listen to Christ and his word when he lived on earth .
you will find the truth and eternal salvation in the books of Matthew , mark , luke and John. If you believe and hold on to what your able to learn from his word you’ll begin to understand what the term faith means
