When we are very careful to check everything with scripture, and use only scripture to feed our souls, we can welcome these attacks against scripture, trying to change it by attacking us personally for they are afraid to attack the Lord. They don't even pretend it is about the word they attack but always use the word "you". All "you" humans see darkly, including them but they feel they are above being human so they set themselves up as some sort of god and feel safe in attacking this "you".

God is stronger than they are, God's word will prevail. We are only instruments to be used by the Lord. We must cling tightly to the word.
who is the 'they' in this fantasy scenario?

sounds like they are your mortal enemies

good thing God does not use your abilities for fiction when he looks at the heart

this really seems to bother you. see, I'm not bothered because these questions should be settled

what are you trying to prove exactly? you have interpreted salvation as being saved from sin, but salvation is new life in Christ. we are becoming like Him if we are led by the Holy Spirit

why do you think you need to please me with your answer in some way?

did you ask God for grace or did you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and understand His completed work on your behalf?

if you are depending on God's grace without understanding your work can never save you, then you do not understand the gospel

maybe worry less about what I think and more about how what you believe applies to salvation
I was explaining to YOU that I wasn't CATHOLIC, and how finding faith in GOD to follow/copy the way JESUS lived, has helped me transform into a better person, who wants to be SAVED (salvation). these answers DIDN'T please you.
YES I believe JESUS fulfilled the Law's, he tell us him self, as an example that it can be done, isn't that something WE MUST ALL do in our own live's, but of course we fall down, thankfully the GRACE of GOD, allows us to pick ourselves up, and continue on the path of RIGHTEOUSNESS.
YES, I should have used TEACHING's instead, ....I thought that's what the parables were.

it appears i'm wasting time talking scripture with you, this may be more interesting for you:
I have to walk my dog now , she missed her 5.30 am, cause I was doing an hour crossfit with fellow Christians, via messenger due to our co-vid lock down (go NEW ZEALAND), but I'm fulfilling my obligation to love and care another of GOD's creation's.
I don't how, but you WILL find something, somewhere in all this not to your liking.
We should ask the Lord for HIS understanding and HIS will to live as JESUS did, and other in aspects of our lives, please enjoy yours my sister in Christ: GODblessusall

too much words

surprisingly, I find I am having a dwindling attention span problem brought on by reading your lack of evidence for what you believe

I will do you a solid later on though, and create a post about what salvation actually is from a Christian understanding

right here, is your error

do you believe Jesus fulfilled the law or not?

if not, do you think that is now something you can do?

parables? what parables is it you think you are keeping?
"Your error"!! Are you God? You take on the role of God If you spoke as a human you would say that you understand God as saying this as opposed to other's ways.

When man makes something act as God who isn't God it is called an idol. Scripture speaks a lot about idols, none of it good.

I see it a bit differently. Of course.:giggle:
I don't welcome the attacks on scripture. Because what is about its work assailing God's words aren't of God.
They're of Satan.

And while such creatures pose as members of the flick, the words they spew against the word reveal their true dark hearts. They don't outright attack God, not because they fear God, because they have no respect for God and this is why they labor to trash his message.

Whereas,if they did directly attack God everyone on any forum would know their true identity. And unless they had special privilege, most likely any forums rules would I sure they were banned for their trouble.

This doesn't mean they won't return. If course they will. They are on a mission.

God's power doesn't reach them. They're not called to Salvation. In my view the situation is what Jesus forwarded his Apostles would encounter in their travels while spreading the good news. And that would be people who want nothing to do with the message if the truth.

Jesus said the Apostles are to then kick the dust from their feet and move on.

Those ones we're discussing are not one of us. That's why they disrespect the truth, attack us for being in the word, and due to their lack of knowledge bestowed by God, regurgitate their sorry, corrupt, false, damnable rhetoric for, in some cases, years on end.

 Years!
Years?
Yes! Years!

Imagine how boring hell is that they'd claw their way to a computer, and seek out for the occupation of their time, communities committed in love to God and his word. Not for Salvation's sake. But for the entertainment of the fallen like themselves.

They can't threaten God's word. All they can accomplish is to goad us again and again to repeat ourselves and in doing so invite their abuse and hatred. Using scripture as their inroad.

In their corrupt mind, if we didn't enjoy the abuse we wouldn't keep feeding their behavior over and over again, expecting a different result.

Let me pose this question to you.
If Satan identified himself to you and invited you to debate scripture, when you know he's damned and it would be a waste of time because he knows scripture better than we, would you do it?

At least Satan serves God's purpose. They on the other hand serve Satan's. They are what God condemns. And destroyed in the OT for their wickedness against him.

God's people are to have nothing to do with evil when God didn't.

And I'll tell you one last thing. You can try this for a time if you want and see how it feels. When you have nothing to do with Devils, the discussions are high quality and the atmosphere is peace filled.

Something Devil's are allergic to.

It's wonderful.

are you sinless?
If not you already fell short with f that standard
Jesus tried to get the young man to see that. He did not. I pray you do

Let's take a closer look at it in Matthew 19: 16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. 18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, 19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?

Notice the young man says "All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?" This is where the story gets interesting, because if you read the full story which we have to do, to get full understanding. We will see that the commandments Jesus mention wasn't the young man problem, it was something else.

21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. 22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

So Jesus says if thou be perfect, that means the young was really close to being perfect, but the young had great riches that he couldn't let go, and that goes with what Jesus says in Matthew (22:37) Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. (38) This is the first and great commandment. This was very hard for the young man to do.

So let's recap the story a little, the young man kept the commandments from his youth up, all most perfect, except one thing Jesus ask him to do, and that's sell all his possession and come follow him.

So let's continue in Matthew 19: 23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. 24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. 25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? 26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Demons use the very same tactics over and over, they are so predictable. They pretend to follow God but twist it. Demons told Jesus to turn stones to bread because God provided for him, to jump from a high place because God protected him, etc.

It's possible. Just erase from your attention the blatant troublemakers who live to assail the word and Christians.

We don't have to all agree all the time. Textual criticism, not a Troll thing but a real process in Apologetics, respectful debate among those who truly love God, is educational, wonderful, and welcoming.
Block the input of Devil's and it's even better. It's the same on any forum.

what are the commandments of Jesus?

did He not say a NEW commandment I give unto you?

not the 10 bro. not the 10

if the will of God to you is keeping the commandments, you will never attain it.

do you not have peace? is that why the law bothers you so much?

I hope you really don't believe what you just said, because you open the door for killers, thieves, murderers, liars, fornicators, adultery, etc. Jesus says in (Luke:4:4) And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. The reference point for Christians is the Bible, the revelation of God to mankind and source book for God's commands to us, known as the divine Law. God's laws are holy and the commandment holy, and just, and good. (Romans:7:12). They are the instructions for the way we should conduct our lives.

Notice that the law was not prophesied to be done away, but rather to be “put into our hearts and minds.”

In, (Is. 42:21) we find another prophecy concerning Christ and the law. It reads, (v.21) The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he (Jesus) will magnify the law, and make it honourable. When you magnify something you enlarge it and bring it out more of its detail and richness. Jesus revealed the fulfillment of this prophecy when he explained, (Mat.5:27-28) (v.27) Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: (v.28) But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart

By magnifying the law and making it honorable, the spiritual intent of the law is now emphasized which goes far beyond the mere the physical intent. God has raised His standards, not lowered them! All God ever wanted was what was best for us! He designed us to be His children. We are happiest when we love and obey Him. He is a God who is totally righteous and holy. God cannot sin. And He wants us to follow in His footsteps. The person that says, (1 John:2:6) “that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

You have to be perfect if you gain eternal life through keeping the commandments, and we achieve that perfection only through the forgiveness of sin Christ offers.

Christ said there was no one good but God, and that was while he was still in the flesh. Now Christ is one with God.

Most of what you are saying is true, but we don't have to be perfect, because we know only one man who walk this earth that was perfect is Jesus. Because for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Romans 23:3), and if you continue to live you will sin again. It is the willful sinning that you need to put in check. For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. (Hebrew 10: 26, 27)

And what did Jesus do?
Labor to change their mind? No.

Jesus knows their fate. They don't believe it. There's the difference. Jesus didn't waste time with what was fated. He didn't labor to change the reprobate mind.
While the reprobate mind does labor to persuade us from the truth.

Which is what the demons Jesus encountered were laboring to achieve. If Jesus, whom they/he did not know was God in flesh, had conceded to do one thing asked of him, he would have been lost. They knew that. Jesus knew it would never happen.

Same with demons on boards. The same effort, the same scenario.

If ye be...the son of God turn these rocks into bread.

If ye be Christian, try to convince me....

"Your error"!! Are you God? You take on the role of God If you spoke as a human you would say that you understand God as saying this as opposed to other's ways.

When man makes something act as God who isn't God it is called an idol. Scripture speaks a lot about idols, none of it good.

I was not talking to you

are you his lawyer?

but since you want to butt in, there is nothing in my mind about idols. you are just inventing something else that is in your own mind and not in reality

I remind you, that you are the one that equates their words with God as you state in your post below

All these people are not really slandering Blik, they are slandering God. They speak against truth, not Blik. It usually it centers on that God changes with the new covenant, or that we must not mention working for the Lord. That is slandering God. Then their great refrain is that they are lily white, perfect humans, and Blik just misunderstands them. Or they, with their perfect understanding and their perfection are only training Blik in the truth. The idea that humans are discussing scripture is beyond their ability to comprehend.
there is no slander in my posts and frankly I have not seen any slander in the posts of others who disagree with your personal interpretation

I don't even use the word slander

you just bounce around in your attempt to be right, but you are not helping yourself

Well...it would be a blessing to see everyone on the same page.
well that won't happen since you are interpreting the New Testament through the lens of the Old Testament

I hope you really don't believe what you just said, because you open the door for killers, thieves, murderers, liars, fornicators, adultery, etc. Jesus says in (Luke:4:4) And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. God's laws are holy and the commandment holy, and just, and good. (Romans:7:12). They are the instructions for the way we should conduct our lives.
not at all. that is simply your own myopic interpretation of what I said. did I say keep sinning? that would be foolish and I obviously did not say that, so why go all dramatic and aghast as if I had said that. more drama. it's as if you folks want to create drama and you accomplish this by deviating from what a person actually says

YES God is Holy so all He does is Holy. it is bizarre how you seem to think other people do not realize Who God is, what His attributes are and His word is everlasting. What you fail to understand, is that at the moment of expulsion from the Garden, EVEN THEN God promised a solution for the broken relationship his human creation had made
IT IS NOT THE LAW!!!

It is always and only JESUS. Not the law. you want to live with the proverbial albatross around your neck when God has provided a way out of bondage. we are no longer the slave woman, but the chosen woman who is free. that is all in the New Testament but all you and several others here wish to talk about is the law the law the law the law the law....and attempting to show how good you are by attaching that anchor around your neck

you cannot keep the law.....and you cannot please God WHO IS HOLY, by saying that you do and teaching others to do the same

you must sacrifice the blood of animals if you wish to operate under the law. If you wish to be accepted to God you must put that aside and accept Christ as the final sacrifice

has anyone ever become sinless by sacrificing an animal? no. yet we are clothed with the righteousness of Christ Himself, acceptable to God and our sins are accounted against us no more

if we do sin, we acknowledge it and move on. we do not wallow in it and kick it around and put it under a microscope

like I said, I will post what salvation is but not now. tomorrow is another day, so pardon me if I ignore the next post you might make in reply to me, which will most likely be full of the same kind of objections. there is no point to staying on the hamster wheel of obedience to the law

again, don't attempt to portray myself...or others here cause I know it is not true about them either....as practicing sin or encouraging others to practice sin. be an adult and just acknowledge no one thinks that or does that. you are lying if you say so

Yep let’s look at it

the young man said he kept the commands

jesus tried to get him to admit he broke and was breaking the first command,

according to the law. Whoever did not keep every word was cursed

hence Jesus tried to show the man what James said later, if you keep all the law yet stumble in one point your guilty of all

the man should have repented got on his knees and told God what the tax collector did. Instead the man went away feeling bad. Because he refused to admit that he ever broke the law.

paul said all have sinned and fall short. It funny, the greek word hemartos translated sin literally means to fall short.

How many sins does it take to fall short? According to the law. Just one.

so sorry bud. You have sinned and fallen short. Your ability to save yourself by your obedience was lost the first time you sinned.

if you think you can save yourself now. You are in dire trouble
