Titus 1:15 niv uk
15 To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted.
Titus 1:15 living bible
15 A person who is pure of heart sees goodness and purity in everything; but a person whose own heart is evil and untrusting finds evil in everything, for his dirty mind and rebellious heart color all he sees and hears. 16 Such persons claim they know God, but from seeing the way they act, one knows they don’t. They are rotten and disobedient, worthless so far as doing anything good is concerned.
Ok, as we can see from both verses, the heart that is corrupted is also the heart that has been defiled. The heart that is defiled is not pure. But here we see in these two scriptures no mention whatsoever of the real culprit who defiles the heart. (the devil and his demons), As we see also from these passages above its so easy to call a person evil or rotten or worthless, and not notice a person behaving this way has a demon. And for the smoker, he wouldn't know the devil wants him to defile his heart with cigarette smoke.
There's more to this verse than meets the eye. The heart that is unpure is also the heart that has become rotten. From defiling the body with nicotine smoke. From the above passage living bible we see that the devil loves a defiled heart or defiled temple (body) because then the worthless works can flourish with disobedience.
Blessed is the pure heart, who remembers that scripture ? Shall i have faith in my next cigarette, or shall I have faith in Jesus and keep my heart clean? ?
The Roman Catholic Church does not condemn smoking per se, but considers excessive smoking to be sinful, as described in the Catechism (CCC 2290): The virtue of temperance disposes us to avoid every kind of excess: the abuse of food, alcohol, tobacco, or medicine.
Here is a real eye-opener. The roman Catholic Church is saying it's all right to smoke cigarettes in moderation.
But says excessive smoking is sinful. What a joke... it looks like Satan well and truly runs our world.
Ok, so anything that controls your mood is not Good, because we need to use our own self-control to overcome mood swings. And much more.
