God accepted offerings of various meats and vegetables, along with oil, olive oil.

I have always lived eating meats along with grans and vegetables. I will not condemn any for eating meat or I would be condemining myself, and that is not my right.

Now as for eating meat now, as I get older, just as did my mohter, I am not crazy about eating meats, but I feel I just due to keeping my balance correct for r my own health sttus. This is jusst a foible , personal and not some kind of law or command from above.

Do not tell anyone they cannot eat meat, our Father has eaten meat. Talk to Him..

Looks like Jesus was vegetarian and the stories about him eating fish and lamb are not true.

Looks like Jesus was vegetarian and the stories about him eating fish and lamb are not true.

But if Jesus is against eating meat, why would He multiply the fishes and the loaves for the crowds to eat, and on more than one occasion? (Matthew 14 and 15.) He literally fed thousands of people with fish -- how could He if He were against it? God does not lead people into sin.

Likewise, how would this account be explained?

When the disciples still did not believe that Jesus was risen, "He said to them, 'Have you any food here?' So they gave Him a piece of broiled fish and honeycomb, and He ate it in their presence."

And again, when Jesus arose and appeared to them, He not only asked, "Children, have you any food?", but when they answered no, He told them to cast the net on the right side, resulting in a catch so plentiful that they couldn't even draw it all in.

"Then, as soon as they came to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread. Jesus said to them, 'Bring some of the fish you caught,'" inviting them to "Come and eat breakfast." (Matthew 21.)

Again, the Lord will not lead anyone into sin. Now I know some will argue that this is specifically about fish and not other forms of meat -- but the point is, Jesus seems to have no problem with catching, killing, and cooking at least certain living creatures for food.

Perhaps it´s not a sin because God understand that we are fallen. But i definitely believe God prefer if we don´t kill.

Meat increase the risk for moderate to severe Covid. "Participants who didn’t eat meat had 73% lower odds of experiencing moderate-to-severe COVID-19."

Study: https://nutrition.bmj.com/content/4/1/257

I'm just curious: what specific groups or organizations believe and promote the "versions" of the gospel you have listed in your signature?

Namely, "The Essence of the Gospel of Peace" and "The Gospel of the Holy Twelve."

The people were commanded to sacrifice animals on a regular basis in the Old Testament.

I am certainly not trying to promote any needless slaughter of animals or animal cruelty, but yes, this is definitely your own belief and not an absolute that needs to be transpired as a rule that is also set in stone for everyone else.

I think it's great if someone chooses to be a vegetarian. But I think it's a dire mistake to try to command everyone else to be one as well. And that's just my own personal belief.

But why kill today when Jesus died for our sins?
I don´t know if there are only specific groups promoting those gospels.

I completely agree with you that if you feel personally convicted about killing anything for food, then don't do it.

What I don't agree with is that this personal belief is a blanketed mandate for everyone else.

I would also be at least slightly suspicious of sources that name their own versions of the gospel, but that's just me.

Jesus absolutely ate fish according to scripture and also personally prepared fish on a fire of coals for breakfast John and Peter who were offshore fishing. The Lord provided quail for meat during the 40 year exodus to the promised land.

The stories are absolutely true because they are scripture. If you believe the accounts are not true than what exactly is true in scripture? You cannot be the arbiter of what is true or not true in the bible. You may have a personal perception but that does not necessarily render a certain verse(s) of scripture true nor false.

To some who might want to know...

Have you been Grilling or Barbequing?

There is a difference!

Grilling is typically cooking directly over a heat source at high heat (350°F or above)
for a relatively short amount of time, about 30 minutes.

Barbequing is cooking at 250° F or less for a long time, usually at least two hours.

And that's...that! 😉

I didn't understand a little. What risks are you talking about? From the very beginning in the Bible, people have been eating meat. The Jews burned lambs at stake and called out to God. God accepted sacrifices as gifts from people. Everyone understood that this was the way it should be because man dominates all animals. That's what the Bible says about it. It is not for nothing that Noah saved all the animals in pairs because the man should be master over animals, and God should be over a man. A person should cook meat, grazing herds, take care of cows.

When did the Jews burn lambs?

Sacrifice was required as a covering for sin under the law.

We haven't been uder the law for 2,000+ years.
Two of the Gospels tell us in the first chapters they were written that the reader might know who Jesus is, after 2,000+ years we pretty much know who He is.
We are now at about Ephesians onward to learn, grow and live a life pleasing to Him.
