Pumpkins grow everywhere here. Most who grow their own veggies (which is alot of people here) will have pumpkins in their yards. Even if you have grown pumpkins in the past, they will still be growing as they reseed and then you get all these little pumpkins everywhere.
Yes @GaryA, I have tasted pumpkin pie. A long time ago my sister and I went to Canada/America where alot of my family still remain and my cousins took us out to dinner somewhere. They were all excited for dessert which included pumpkin pie. My sister and I tasted it and well I thought it was I didn't see it warranted such excitement (please dont red x me or )
I dont really know what they do with pumpkins here. Pumpkin soup, baby food, used for veggies, quiches etc etc but definitely not pumpkin pie. We don't carve them either
