So does that mean you agree with Arminius and the five points of the Remonstrance to Calvin's five doctrines?
I’m rusty on Arminius’ five points, but I reject the T, U, L, and I of TULIP. I do believe that salvation for Christians is permanent, even though they may not persevere in the faith.

Everyone descended from Adam is a sinner, and needs salvation.
Your misunderstanding of faith and from where it originates is the cause of your misunderstanding that saints might not persevere in it. If a person has no faith, or as you suggest may not persevere in faith, then they are not saved. Faith is a gift just as salvation is a gift, both of which are by God's grace. The just shall live by faith. As James said: "Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to those who love him?" James 2:5. How can a faithless person love Christ?

Those elect one's only come to believe in Him because God gives them that ability. While leaving the non- elect predestined and predetermined by God to live and die totally depraved in sin.
The main problem with Calvinism? Every bit of it is not a unique invention of its namesake, John Calvin. And, every bit of it is able to be sustained by scripture.
Why concern ourselves with the faith of others? Or their fate?
When our own personal faith is all that matters.

What about Demas, whom Paul called a fellowlaborer? He left Paul, “having loved this present world”. Was Demas saved, or was Paul mistaken when he called Demas a fellowlaborer?
I know where faith comes from. It comes from hearing the word of God (Rom 10:17).
Also, be careful when quoting scripture.
James 2:5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
You added the words “to be” between “world” and “rich”. God did not choose the poor of this world TO BE rich in faith. He chose “the poor of this world rich in faith.” The meaning is the poor of this world are frequently the ones who ARE rich in faith.

The faith of all saints matter, which is why we should be praying always for the lost. We who are called by God are commanded by God to share the gospel message. Why? Because all unsaved are dead in trespasses and sins and naturally resistant to the spiritual things of God, and the only way to provoke them is with the word of God. Not all will respond, but the elect will respond.
There you go again, with your big bully God forcing things on unwilling man. The Bible will have NONE of that.
Grace is the absence of works and FORCE.
Well, isn't that just sweet. To "over come the resistance" means to FORCE.
Can you find any verse in the Bible where God "forces" His grace on people?
