Like I said, discarded.

I don't see how your comment contributes anything but gore to the discussion.
Last Summer, I was making PJ Sandwiches for everyone to take on the boat. One of my nephews saw me licking the Jelly off of my hand when I was finished. He loves Peanut Butter. So, when I was not looking he put the jar behind his back. One of his brothers said that John did it again. Everyone looked at them. He reached behind his back to put some on his hand and pulled out a large chunk. The guys started running for the bathroom. He then started to eat that which was in his hand. Everyone else, started to join them in the bathroom. When his Mother asked him where he get the idea. He said, from uncle daniel. I can not convince anyone that I did not put them up to that.

Can you provide a link to that study. Thanks.

The Bible code is just another sub version of mystical gematria.

"Throughout history, some people have believed that the Torah contains secrets that can be revealed by gematria and used to predict historical events. This belief continues to this day, and was popularized by Michael Drasin’s best-selling (and much criticized) The Bible Code, published in 1997. Some Hasidic communities that are steeped in the study of kabbalistic literature believe that the Torah, as read through the lens of gematria, contains clues to current events. " https://www.myjewishlearning.com/article/gematria/

In short the studies from Kabbalistic Literature using gematria(bible codes) is the same thing. Mormon Apologetists and Muslim speakers and New Agers all used gematria before and after the bible codes came along. It was from the Jewish sources the author before bible codes got his ideas.

It came out in the 1970's well before it came out in the mid 1990's.

It has been theorized for over a hundred years, but not until we had computers were we able to quickly search through the text for ELS codes. Some of these codes have a skip sequence of 1,000 letters. So although Rabbis found codes with skip sequences of 50 letters or less, 1,000 letter skip sequences was far beyond their capability without computers.

What the 1994 paper in the Journal of Statistics showed was that these codes were not simply random. The control was 1 million books.

Many people who dismiss this do not understand, they are not finding some random word like "Holocaust". Yes, that will happen in any book. What they are finding is 10, 20, 30 words all in the same matrix, all related to a single event or a single person. It is true you have even odds to find a four or five letter word by doing one of these skip searches to then create a matrix. However, every meaningful letter you find after that in that search increases the odds greatly. In science we consider that 5% is the cutoff. If the odds are greater than 1/20 that something happens we chalk it up to random chance, if it less than that we say it is "statistically significant". The odds of some of these codes occurring is far less than 1 in a billion and the odds that all of them would occur is so small we have no number for it.

A very fundamental doctrine in the Bible is that God is sovereign.

The printing press has been used for evil purposes, but it was also used to print and distribute the word of God.

Likewise with the internet. This forum is one example of God being sovereign to let His people fellowship and share the word. That said would anyone deny that the internet is also used for evil purposes.

The computer was invented for one purpose, to break the German code during WWII. I believe God is sovereign and computers were invented under His sovereignty to read codes He has put in His Bible.

Why would you think there are prophesies spoken thousands of years ago that apply to today and think this is a strange thing?

"Drosnin also made a number of claims and alleged predictions that have since failed. Among the most important, Drosnin clearly states in his book "The Bible Code II", published on December 2, 2002, that there was to be a World War involving a "Atomic Holocaust" that would allegedly be the end of the world.[37] Another claim Drosnin makes in "The Bible Code II" is that the nation of Libya would develop weapons of mass destruction that they would then be given to terrorists who would then use them to attack the West (specifically the United States). [38] In reality Libya improved relations with the West in 2003 and gave up all their existing weapons of mass destruction programs.[39] A final claim Drosnin made in "The Bible Code II" was that Palestinian Authority leader Yasser Arafat would allegedly be assassinated by being shot to death by gunmen, gunmen Drosnin specifically stated would be from the Palestinian Hamas movement.[40] This prediction by Drosnin also failed, as Yasser Arafat died on November 11, 2004[41] of what was later declared to be natural causes (specifically a stroke brought on by an unknown infection).[42][43] The only conspiracy theories about Yasser Arafat allegedly being murdered have been made by a few Palestinian figures, and have involved alleged poisoning that was suppose to have been on the orders of Israeli officials. The only alleged Palestinian collaboration in this conspiracy theory involve two leading Palestinian figures from the Palestinian Fatah movement; those are current Palestinian Authority and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas and Mohammed Dahlan the former head of Fatah in Gaza.[44] Writer Randy Ingermanson criticized Drosnin by stating that; "And that’s all they are, even for Drosnin — possibilities. God has no beginning and always exists.

Some people believe God spoke things in to existence which is kind of hard to understand for if there is nothing how can there be something, and God created nothing containing His Spirit for His Spirit and the physical things are separate.

I believe that physical matter also always exists and God can form the physical matter in to what He wants.

Evolution is a joke for all these things did not come in to being by evolution for there is too much organization, too much variety, too much complexity, and so forth for it to be evolution.

Our body is designed for not only best functioning but also best looks with everything in the proper place for best operation.

Why the world rebels against God.

1. Evolution.

2. Gave birth to the new age movement that interprets the Bible, and religions according to the occult and evolution, and people are still evolving to be spiritual.

3. The occult believes in astrology, horoscope, and this is the age of Aquarius the age of peace so they will try to pursue that peace on earth for they believe nature would want them to do that so they will harmonize the nations governments and religions with all religions interpreted according to the new age movement.

4. They do not believe the New Age Christ will help them to evolve and have peace until the nations come together as one and work for peace on earth a global government and global religion so they will work on that.

5. The New Age Christ will be of the new age movement and the occult and when he works in the world he will push the agenda of the new age movement until the world rebels against God.

6. Technology that caused them to be able to communicate with each other to come together but it is not according to the will of God.

The new age movement the beginning of the end.

1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1Ti 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
1Ti 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
1Ti 4:4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
1Ti 4:5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

God warns the saints of the new age movement, and their interpretation of the Bible based on the occult, and evolution, and people are still evolving to be spiritual provided by the New Age Christ, and Jesus is not Lord and Savior, but a good teacher and love, and the Christ conscience came upon him, and he evolved to be an ascended master, and believe in no personal God, but honor the God of forces, or the power of nature as their higher power, the evolutionary process, and the New Age Christ is the final teacher, and they believe the Christ conscience will come upon him, and he will evolve to be greater than Jesus, and share this power with all people who follow him.

They will forbid to marry for a man and a woman for population reduction, and command to abstain from meats, reverence of nature, mother earth.

The new age movement will pave the way to the beast kingdom for all people who do not love God where they will take the mark of the beast, and then repentance and salvation are no longer available to the world, and God will end sin on earth, and have His people will Him.

2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables(2 Timothy 4:2-4).

The time will come when the world will not want to hear the truth of the Bible, but want to hear it according to their own lusts the new age movement.

The New Age Christ will establish peace in the Middle East, and work as a great man of peace, and push the agenda of the new age movement in the world to prepare the world for when he claims to be God by harnessing the power of nature, and evolving, and will share this power with all people who follow him.

Alice Bailey the biggest prophet of the new age movement wrote many books speaking of the coming united religious system, one world government, and New Age Christ, and other occult things, and they set up a web site lucistrust.org promoting her books and writing which she interpreted the Bible according to the occult and evolution.

She was married to a Freemason who agreed with her writing, so he is of the inner circle of Freemason, which there is an inner circle and outer circle of the occult, and Alice Bailey said the inner circle is the true church.

The inner circle is too extreme in the occult for mainstream society so they put out a lighter version an outer circle that is more tolerable to the people to get them interested in a light version of the occult.

When the New Age Christ establishes peace in the Middle East he will push the agenda of the new age movement and the people will lust more for power through nature and when the New Age Christ claims to be God and to set up his kingdom the outer circle became the inner circle and the beast kingdom will be accepted by those who do not keep the commandments of God, and the testimony of Jesus Christ.

The new age movement has an inner circle as well as Freemason, and the Mormon church, and Scientology, and Christian Science, and churches who have great deception such as them as well as many occult groups.

They are trying to get the world to go in the direction of the New Age Christ kingdom so that Lucifer can set up a kingdom which they believe Lucifer will help people to evolve spiritually.

The esoteric meaning of Lucifer, how they interpret the Bible.

There are comments on the World Wide Web claiming that the Lucis Trust was once called the Lucifer Trust. Such was never the case. However, for a brief period of two or three years in the early 1920’s, when Alice and Foster Bailey were beginning to publish the books published under her name, they named their fledgling publishing company “Lucifer Publishing Company”. By 1925 the name was changed to Lucis Publishing Company and has remained so ever since. Both “Lucifer” and “Lucis” come from the same word root, lucis being the Latin generative case meaning of light. The Baileys' reasons for choosing the original name are not known to us, but we can only surmise that they, like the great teacher H.P. Blavatsky, for whom they had enormous respect, sought to elicit a deeper understanding of the sacrifice made by Lucifer. Alice and Foster Bailey were serious students and teachers of Theosophy, a spiritual tradition which views Lucifer as one of the solar Angels, those advanced Beings Who Theosophy says descended (thus “the fall”) from Venus to our planet eons ago to bring the principle of mind to what was then animal-man. In the theosophical perspective, the descent of these solar Angels was not a fall into sin or disgrace but rather an act of great sacrifice, as is suggested in the name “Lucifer” which means light-bearer.

Alice Bailey wrote a book Conscienceness of the Atom, and the occult now believes the universe, evolution, has a conscience, and they will believe that nature wants them to get rid of all people who do not evolve with them for they are a cancer in the world like the body fights diseases in the body.

Hey, I was using computers in 1977.

http://www.bibletopics.com/biblestudy/83.htm

"The actual truth about the Bible codes was finally revealed by statistical analysis: they are not confined to the Pentateuch; they are found everywhere -- in any . ELS codes are found with approximately equal frequency in the Book of Genesis, the Qur'an -- Islam's holy book, Tolstoy's "War and Peace," or in any sufficiently long text written in any language -- probably even in this web site which totals over 350 megabytes of text and HTML coding. "
http://www.religioustolerance.org/biblcode.htm

http://www.awitness.org/essays/bibcode.html

"
Were we to take Rambsel's methodology seriously, more perplexing would be the fact that we found the name of the Communist leader "Lenin" encoded at the equally significant Kabbalistic skip distance of 49 - in this same "messianic" text in Daniel9.

Rambsel writes how, in Chapter 41 of Psalms, "Yeshua" appears in a "messianic" passage. Again, we found many other Hebrew names starting with a "Yud" and a "Shin" in this same passage. Furthermore, "Lenin"10 is also encoded in this same text at a skip distance of the Kabbalistic number 26 - the same number Rambsel found so significant when it revealed the word "Yeshua" in Daniel. In spite of these "codes", we are certain that no one would conclude that Lenin is the Messiah."

And yet the links I gave refutes the claims.
War and Peace in Hebrew has the same skip letters thing.
The author of the bible codes came up with prophecies that were false using that method.
We had Computers in 1977. I know because I programmed them near that time frame after getting back from NAM.
In fact, I programed an IBM 1620 in Fortran in high school.
The IBM 1620 was announced by IBM on October 21, 1959.
jewish mysticism kabbalah had been doing the letter skipping with hebrew documents including the
Talmud.

The biggest problem with the bible code, it does not take into account all the bible variants.

"Ancient manuscripts of the Bible also contain numerous readings that differ from those in the Masoretic Text. These include manuscripts from the Dead Sea region (mostly from prior to 70 C.E.), the Septuagint (the Greek translation of the Torah made from a Hebrew original in the third century B.C.E.), and the Torah of the Samaritans. The vast majority of differences are insignificant variations in spelling and grammar which do not affect the sense of the text but do affect the number of letters in each verse. Most of these readings are scribal errors or revisions made for the sake of greater clarity, particularly in spelling (as mentioned in note 13, the matres lectionis were introduced gradually and without perfect consistency). Some call attention to the fact that certain phrases may have fallen out of the MT, such as the missing "And God saw that this was good" in Gen. 1:7-8 (present in the Septuagint), "the offspring of your cattle" in Deuteronomy 28:18 (contrast verse 4; present in the Samaritan Pentateuch and some medieval Hebrew manuscripts of the Torah), and Cain's words to Abel in Genesis 4:8 (the Samaritan Pentateuch, the Septuagint, and some of the Aramaic targums supply "come let us go out into the field," though they may have guessed these words from the context).

...

In sum, apart from the archaeological evidence about the history of Hebrew spelling, and manuscript evidence about the history of the Biblical text, explicit statements in Talmudic and later Jewish sources make it crystal clear that present copies of the Tanakh are not identical to the original text" https://www.sas.upenn.edu/~jtigay/codetext.html

Using this logic you can disprove the Bible because there have been false teachers. The fact that someone teaches some error and claims it is based on the Bible doesn't make the Bible false.

As far as I can tell the Bible codes I have seen would be useless for predicting the future and I don't think that is the purpose.

For example I saw one with based on the name Brett Kavanaugh. Prior to the hearings it would have been meaningless to anyone, but after the hearings it helped confirm that the testimony against him was a lie and was slander.

The best Bible codes I have seen do not simply give you these words related to an event, but they are also centered on a verse that really drives the point home.

But what difference does it make? Are you against people reading the Bible? Are you against code breakers reading the Bible? Why?

The Lord said "If I be lifted up I will draw all people to myself". Not everyone is like you or me, and yet the Lord will draw everyone of them to Himself.

Code breaking is an essential part of war. Why is the book of Revelation written the way it is, why say the number of His name instead of just telling us his name? Do we really expect to see some beast with ten horns rising up? John wrote this while on the Island of Patmos as a political prisoner, he had to speak in code.

What does the book of Daniel mean when it says to seal up the vision until the end days? What does it mean that they will "run to and fro through the scroll and knowledge will increase"

The test of a prophet is 100 percent accuracy. The fact remains the Bible Code books made false prophecies.
And, those prophecies came from the skipping letters method. This alone shows me that the method is false.

The method has been disproved lots of times since both 1977 and the 1990s. This method of skipping letters can be tested using the scientific method. The claims made by the Bible Codes books could not be duplicated by both pro and con people. The only thing that is disproved is the Bible Codes authors claims, nothing else.

How does one know what number of characters to skip? How does one know exactly where to start? and, what is the justification?

When the books came out it took me a full two minutes with those books to know it was the same trash of 1977.

It is well known that skip sequences have been thrown away when they did not work by the authors.

You questions and statements are irrelevant in light of the facts I have pointed out.

"knowledge will increase" is not from the Torah. The preexisting Jewish mystical version was known as the Torah Codes.

Fine, no one is trying to convince you. No one is saying that this is essential to your faith or walk.

How does one know what number of characters to skip? How does one know exactly where to start? and, what is the justification?
Let's take the example of Brett Kavanaugh. You program the computer to search through the text using every skip search for that sequence of letters. It may go from skipping 1 letter throughout the entire OT all the way to 3,000 letters.

Now let's suppose it is found with a 3,000 letter skip. They will then create a matrix say 100 letters across with a skip of 10 letters each and perhaps 50 lines. So the Matrix has a total of 5,000 letters and Brett Kavanaugh will appear vertically with the letters on every third line and each line representing 1000 letters of the text.

The odds of finding this name doing all those searches is not that great. However, if you now find many words on that page with 5,000 letters the odds of that really can become great. Things like Ford, and liar and slander, etc.

And yes, if you do the same number of searches in a book like War and Peace you will also find a word like liar. But the rest of the page will be gibberish or completely unrelated.

What is irrelevant is the fact that you are not interested in this. If you aren't interested fine. No one has appointed you as the one who tells us what we can and cannot do with the word of God. A wonderful hymn says "we limit not the word of God". You aren't interested in this thread, fine, I got it, I have noted your objections right here on the thread, thank you for your input.

Bible Code Testimony

I read about codes in the Bible, and even heard someone say that they theorized that everyone’s name is coded in the Bible, so I found someone who for a fee will do a Bible code for you. They ask for a bunch of names (Parents, wife, kids, year you were born and the location). So I filled this out and what follows is what I got back. I wanted to see if there was a message to me in this code.

Right off the bat it was very encouraging, they found my first name intersecting with my middle name and both of these names intersecting with my family name. Also the code was found in Exodus 33 v.1-34. This is a passage that is read every year on my birthday (the third day of Passover) so that also was very encouraging. Also my mother’s name and my daughters name both connected directly to my name. My mom’s name was parallel to my dad’s name. My wife’s name intersects all three of my names as well as intersecting my mom’s name.

So here is the message. The first letter of my name is found in this word “blue” which refers to a special dye found in a sea creature, this dye is used for the veil of the Holy tabernacle. This creature is hard to come by, according to the talmud it surfaces once every 70 years but has since disappeared altogether. It is a unique and peculiar creature. This creature comes from the sea which in typology refers to the gentiles (Jews are from the land). The word for this creature is linked to a Hebrew word meaning to put plans into action.

How does this connect to my life? I would say the very first major “touchstone” experience for me was my salvation, I entered into my chamber, got down on my knees and prayed “Lord I want to see you when you come down in those clouds”. This indicates I was seeking the things above, in the heavens, and this is signified by this blue. We are told that this blue for the veil signifies the heavens but it is concealing the Lord’s seat of glory which is behind the veil.

Second, the life cycle of this creature signifies the rapture. We are told in the fig tree parable that this generation will not pass away until all these things are fulfilled. In Psalms 90:10 we are told that the days of our lives are 70 years and if by strength it may be 80 years, for it passes quickly away and then we fly away”. This expression “fly away” refers to the rapture and eschatology suggests there will be three raptures, one that takes place after Israel has been a nation for 70 years (most think of 1948 as the year but in reality it became official in 1950). 2020 was the 70th birthday of the nation of Israel (1948 was a provisional recognition). There are many signs that suggest the first rapture will be in 2021. When I prayed to the Lord He answered and said “You will”. So for me to see this experience, my first experience of the Lord, in this first letter is quite meaningful to me. Not only so but I felt I was to hold my tongue until 2020 and at that time the Lord seemed to give me the go ahead to speak what I had gained from Him.

Third, to make the first letter of my name they use two Hebrew letters, the second letter Hebrew letter means “with HIm”. That describes the beginning of my Christian life. I would enter into the veil and fellowship with Him. It was quite secret. No person led me to the Lord and I began my life having to ask the Lord everything. The context of this verse is Moses would come before the Lord to fellowship with Him and would remove the veil but when he spoke with the Israelites he wore the veil. That was similar to my experience as a new believer. Also, there are multiple references to Moses in this verse. The name Moses means “drawn out” just like these sea creatures are drawn out of the water, and my name Wade, means to walk in the water.

The second letter indicates that I need to take the veil off to see through for the deeper meaning that is below the surface. This thought that I need to see the deeper meaning is encoded twice in my name, indicating that it will be done.

The first letter of my second name is the word for scarlet/crimson wool. The root of this word means change. For me the second major touchstone experience for me was when I got baptized five years later. This was a major change and the testimony of all the saints was how much I changed (I came to the meetings in bare feet, sitting on the front row with a Grateful Dead Tshirt on) soon everything changed including my clothes and appearance. Not only so but I changed from using my first name to using my middle name. I see the process of salvation as being two steps. In the first step I was seeking the things above, where Christ is, and in the second step I was forgiven, redeemed of my sins. The main use of this word is not scarlet but second. For example the “second day” in Genesis 1. The first day was not called “the first day” because it was the only day but then when we had the second day that was a big change. This is a process of transformation and it is a process of becoming a coworker with God.

The next letter of my second name refers to the covenant that God reestablished with the children of Israel after they sinned in making the Golden calf. The next two letters mean “with you”. In the first name I was with God inside the veil in fellowship, now in the Second name it seems I am on the field of battle and God is with me. I am covered with the blood and God is working in me to change me so that the word of my testimony can accomplish His purpose. It is interesting that this covenant that I have with God is different from the one the Jews had when Moses broke the ten commandments. I have a new covenant that was made with the blood of Jesus.

The de of my name Wade is found in the word that means “you shall redeem”. That was the second half of that initial prayer I prayed. The full prayer was this: “Lord I want to see you when you come down in those clouds” -- He said “You will and furthermore I say unto you that you are a son of God”. This word has a very strange and special meaning to me. It generally refers to making a special dedication for your first born son to a charity to indicate maintaining that relationship even after death. Which is really driven home as my firstborn son has died and I did set up a special charity to remember him with.

Then the next letter of my second name is found in the verse “and you shall break its neck”. This refers to a donkey, an unclean animal that cannot be offered up as a sacrifice to God. You are supposed to redeem it with a lamb, but if not you must break its neck. It signifies giving your possessions and money to the Lord. This reminds me of another touchstone experience. We were on a committee for the persecuted saints around the world. We wanted to do something that would raise awareness of the atrocities going on. One brother donated $5,000 to our ministry. As soon as I saw this the Lord spoke to me that I also could donate $5,000. I had $20,000 worth of stock and if I wrote a check right then I could sell the stock at the open the next day and that check would clear. However, I didn’t do it and the value of that stock crashed the next day. Had I sold it at the open I would have gotten the full value, but by 4 pm it had lost over $10,000. I could have redeemed it for a lamb but when I didn’t I had to break it’s neck.

Then the last letter of my second name also refers to a covenant. However, this verse is a warning to not make a covenant with any idolatrous nation. It reminds me of my first marriage. The Lord instructs in the next two verses “you shall demolish their altars, shatter their monuments, and cut down their sacred trees.” I do believe I have this mission engraved on my heart.

Using this logic you can disprove the Bible because there have been false teachers. The fact that someone teaches some error and claims it is based on the Bible doesn't make the Bible false.
Actually, that is not a valid criticism. That "codes" have been found in works other than the Bible simply demonstrates that these codes are random. Their presence does not disprove the Bible in any way, because the truth and validity of the Bible are not dependent on any alleged codes.

But what difference does it make? Are you against people reading the Bible? Are you against code breakers reading the Bible? Why?
Why do you assume the worst about others?

Code breaking is an essential part of war. Why is the book of Revelation written the way it is, why say the number of His name instead of just telling us his name? Do we really expect to see some beast with ten horns rising up? John wrote this while on the Island of Patmos as a political prisoner, he had to speak in code.

What does the book of Daniel mean when it says to seal up the vision until the end days? What does it mean that they will "run to and fro through the scroll and knowledge will increase"
Trying to find codes where none were transmitted is foolish. The truth of Scripture is in the plain text, not in codes. If the codes are there intentionally (and that is impossible to prove), then they are supplementary at best to the plain text.

If the only feedback you can hear is affirmational, your mind is shut to truth. You might as well be craving likes on Twitter.

No, what I look at is views and posts. Even if no one is reading your posts they still help, it puts the thread right up at the top where someone might see it, and even if someone isn't interested in the title the number of views and the number of posts will often convince them to check it out. So don't get down on yourself, you are helping, every time you comment and every time you view the posts you are helping to build this thread.

How in the world did you manage to get "down on myself" out of anything I've posted in this thread?
