Perhaps, for some reason, some woman put up with being bullied, maybe out of fear. Would it be acceptable to swat a woman who did not get 'tingly'?
That wasn’t even close to being in context.

You have gone waaaaay beyond overexposing yourself. You should have stopped a long time ago.:(
I didn’t expose myself in the least. I wasn’t explaining any personal situation. There was a couple of posters that took a couple of comments out of context and then attacked me with defamatory accusations. It’s pretty much exactly what you did. Just because I am aware that some women find a rougher man to be more attractive, according to them I’m some sexual deviant that can’t be trusted around children and looking for emotionally broken women to abuse in the most vial ways. The post you replied to was a poster claimed that any woman who was attracted to a less mild mannered individual had some sexual psychosis who needed medical attention. Their life would be haunted with sexual fetishes of the lowest debauchery. Whatever, I guess a Christian web site is no place to be honest. We can just keep our faces so close to our Bible that we no longer see the world. I’m curious though, if there was such a female who did like a take charge, kind of man, she surely knows now what most Christians think of her.

The interest I had in it is the why.
Obviously.

What are men failing to provide women that creates this desire? I have my theories, but clearly not welcome here.
Go ahead. Start your thread about the size of your pokey. You have already overexposed yourself. We all have innate curiosities about perversities. We just cannot resist picking and tasting strange forbidden fruits. It is hard-wired into us. The Bible says to resist and flee, but you seem to think you are above that.

"I find" doesn't mean that the person posting is supposed to be an expert. I think you may be projecting some ideas onto other posters. Why not dial it back a bit? There is no need to attack.
quit pandering to hungry

if anyone attacks, it's him.....snide and caustic remarks are his stock in trade if anyone disappoints him by not agreeing with his amateur night at the s & m club

There has got to be more than 'consensual' to make something abuse. What about people who dress up in black leather and whip each other with whips and chains until they bleed, and think it is sexy? Is that not abuse because it is consensual?
I posted an article from a professional site...it's back there somewhere...suppose you can't be bothered and neither can I at this point

those people are not mentally sound

like you have to ask

wondering what kind of magazines you keep under the mattress at this point

when you are already in it up to your eyeballs, what's a little more

now we all know and we can be thankful we do. not everyone is the Christian they would like us to think they are

you know the expression...give them enough rope and they will hang themselves

:eek:So your idea of a "take charge kind of man" is a 'man' who beats his wife???
I don’t even know if you’re serious right now. Obviously not, but if you think that is the only way to take charge then I guess that explains your objection.

My interest is in human behaviour not sexual fetishes. I’m starting to think I’m the only sane one here. I guess I thought Christians could discuss a topic involving mature subject matter. I guessed wrong. It’s interesting how you’re projecting your obvious inability to separate the flesh onto me. If I voiced a statement about homosexuality would you think I was gay?

Good question. I read it again. I wouldn’t swat her in the first place. I guess it comes down to how one defines getting bullied. If there is fear involved then obviously this is not a healthy marriage. People shouldn’t have to live in fear.

I fully concur. If fear is in the equation then the swat would be abusive as it was not welcomed.

Let's not get crude....assuming I am guessing right what a pokey is.

But what if she is like, "Oh I am scared, but this is exciting, so don't stop."?

Or what if she is not afraid, but wants a man to leave bruises or draw blood? Some people are into weird stuff, especially these days with all the junk on the Internet and 50 Shades of Grey books and movies.

Not sure fear is the defining element.

Got to be careful with these comments, though, or people will start picking on my instead of Hungry.

Good idea! I will start. What’s wrong with you pervert? Drawing blood? Do you have some Twilight fetish? There you go, that should get the ball rolling.

Disclaimer: this was a joke.

No magazines under the mattress. There you go with the insinuations again. I suppose you feel if you post it as a comment and don't directly say it, it is not the sin of slander. Do unto others...

Then she is not really scared.

Or what if she is not afraid, but wants a man to leave bruises or draw blood? Some people are into weird stuff, especially these days with all the junk on the Internet and 50 Shades of Grey books and movies.
This is BDSM. If the woman has no fear, and even if she initiates this, she is still being abused even though she finds pleasure. I think this is similar to self harm/self abuse even though some mentally ill people may find pleasure in this.

Guys I think you know, what married couples choose to do in the bedroom is not the topic of this thread. And it's not something that needs to be discussed in regards to this thread.

The question posed is... "Is it biblically permissive to beat one's wife?"

This a serious and even dangerous issue for some women. This isn't something that anyone should take lightly.

In reality, abuse does happen in some marriages. Some women have to walk on egg shells around their husbands for fear of what he might do. Never knowing when she is going to be berated, yelled at, cursed, or hit for doing something he didn't like or agree with...like maybe cooking steak not knowing he wanted chicken, talking too much or not talking enough, being too happy or not being happy enough etc. etc. ect. or whatever depending upon his mood. Constantly worried and living in fear never knowing what might set him off.

I'm not saying that anyone here agrees with that type of behavior, but the intent of this thread is discussing if that type of behavior is Biblically permissive.

So can you imagine a woman....maybe your sister or daughter....having to go through this type of situation. And the only counsel she got was from "the Spanky Mcspank a lot foundation" or whatever the name is of founders of the article that was cited here.
