i mean, when are the aussies going to tell their gov. to shove it and do what they want, like us americans,,
We have only 25 million people here. We can't afford to let people die like flies. We'll leave that to India, Indonesia and the USA. You have plenty of people to dispose of.
1 Samuel 15:23

Romans 13:
"Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which is from God. The authorities that exist have been appointed by God.
2Consequently, whoever resists authority is opposing what God has set in place, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.
For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Do you want to be unafraid of the one in authority? Then do what is right, and you will have his approval. For he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not carry the sword in vain. He is God’s servant, an agent of retribution to the wrongdoer.

Of course there are times when we must obey God rather than man. But they are rare. The basic attitude of the Christian should be to obey and show some respect. If you don't like the government, pray and vote. If you don't get what you want, thank God and keep praying. I send emails to members of parliament to say that I disagree with certain policies. I do show respect.
The nature of man is rebellious. God sets His principles in place to expose rebellion and to exhort us to lose it. There is nothing like submitting to something you don't like to weaken the grip of pride and rebellion. Several years as a Christian in the military taught me that. They tell you where to go. You don't tell them where to go.
and when my kids were itty bitty (before being exposed to computers and internet @ school) telling them my kids had NEVER been exposed to streaming or even held a device in their tiny preschool and younger hands made their jaws drop and the looks on their face PRICELESS.
