I went out and bought a new rod and reel at Bass Pro Shops. Good grief! I Had to spend over $100 to get exactly what I wanted. Pflueger President reel and 7 foot graphite rod. I have not bought a new rod and reel since the 90s. :giggle:

I have not gone fishing since the 80's! Back then, I don't think Bass Pro existed... at least,
not in Canada. Those are very nice stores :D I used to buy my fishing gear at Army and Navy

The best fishing trip I ever went on was to northern Minnesota not far from the Canadian border. :)

I did most of my fishing in the Pacific Ocean :D I preferred cod fishing but salmon fishing was also on the agenda ;)

Did you catch any bass on your friend's bass fishing boat?

Morning GG, just waiting to see who comes out with the sweet treats
Morning Ruby, it's almost 10:00pm here so I'd do well to stay away from the coffee.

But I hope you enjoy your coffee and day.

I would bring some sweet treats, but I'm not sure how to post gifs.

No worries though, looks like Magenta has the sweet treats covered. :)

... I'm not sure how to post gifs.
Posting images from your computer = you would simply have the image on your clipboard from some source with a Ctrl + C and then paste into the message box with Ctrl + V, or else simply click the mountain image in the row of icons above the message box (it is between the link and the emoticons' icons) and it will open to your computer folders, where you would then go and find the file in your folders to select for posting :D

I prefer to post from online sources :) Some will post directly from the site such as ipinimg or mediagiphy etc, though there are those that do not allow it (called hot linking), and for them I take them to an image hosting site, where they can also be resized (overly large images can be bothersome or not post at all if they are too big) on upload. postimages.org is my preferred image host (others are not so reliable). You would then copy the direct link from the second line of links provided and put that link inside image tags like so:

[img ]https://i.pinimg.com/originals/7a/bc/87/7abc8751002435b04ab78423139e4b3f.jpg[/img ]

Please note, I inserted a space within the tags so you could see them ;)

Otherwise, this would have shown up (it was still on my clipboard) :D

I don't normally eat many donuts, but the more I'm on this thread the more I want donuts for some reason.
Actually most of us do not normally eat donuts on any kind of regular basis :D

But they sure are pretty! And virtual donuts are not fattening either (y):giggle:

Yes, they sure are pretty!

Non-fattening is always good too.

But I sure would like to try some of the ones posted here IRL.:giggle:

Thanks for the warning.

I'm going to have to practice it. I don't even have any idea where to begin, though. lol:)
Did you see my explanatory message to you about it? Post #88,995

One of the reasons why I prefer online sources for posting images is because such an image will transfer with the post when the post is quoted. Otherwise a link is provided to the image, and if someone wants to see the image, they need to click the link. That happened on the old platform only when the post quoted ended up on a different page from the original post.
