The people who are "in Judaea" are the only ones ever instructed to "FLEE" (same being referred to in Rev12:6,14--when "1260 days" are yet remaining until the Rev19 "RETURN" unto the earth of Christ Himself)--"the woman FLED..." (v.6)... "and to the woman... that she might FLY..." (v.14)... Both of THESE referring to the "far-future" FLEE (rather than the one in 70ad per Lk21:23,20).
IOW, Gentiles all over the world aren't the ones being instructed to "FLEE" (ONLY "them which be IN JUDAEA" [at certain, specific points in time])
Jesus quoted Daniel. In case you failed to notice that. Jesus is definitely not conjuring up some new thing regarding the A of D. He is referring to crucial prophecies already given, yet to be fulfilled.
Jesus would have quoted the first written Account of Daniel from the Hebrew/Aramaic...not the wrongfully written KJV:

And after the sixty-two weeks, the anointed one will be cut off, and he will be no more, and the people of the coming monarch will destroy the city and the Sanctuary, and his end will come about by inundation, and until the end of the war, it will be cut off into desolation.

I was speaking to the A of D.........not 70 AD as you so noted.
For some reason you continue to jumble together these two discreet, completely different events separated by an immense period of time.
I guess you're not reading my recent posts... where I've said that Lk21:12-24a IS REFERRING TO THE 70ad events (not that it ISN'T
)"GREAT DISTRESS *in the land* and wrath upon *THIS PEOPLE* (i.e. the 70ad events)--that's what Lk21:12-24a covers!
AoD in the Hebrew means:

Correct. In the events surrounding 70ad, they were to "FLEE" when they shall "SEE Jerusalem COMPASSED with armies"... but in the far-future Trib yrs, it's not THAT ^ they are instructed to "SEE," and upon seeing, to "FLEE"... rather, "the AOD [singular/singular] spoken of by Daniel the prophet" (which is the Dan12:11 "AOD [singular/singular] SET UP [H5414]" thing [and which "END OF THE DAYS" referred to in SAME context, is when Daniel himself is said he will "stand in thy lot"]
... which is NOT the same thing as "when ye shall SEE Jerusalem COMPASSED with armies..." [and Daniel did not "stand in thy lot" at the end of THOSE days (surrounding 70ad), see...])
These 2 Verses alone explain what happens when the Sanctuary/Temple is Destroyed!

Well, I *did* write... "which is the Dan12:11 "AOD [singular/singular] SET UP [H5414]" thing" (that's a "verb" right??--and I explained the correlations in a different post, earlier in this thread, right??)
"COMPASSED" ("SEE" that) is not "SET UP [H5414]"... wouldn't you agree??
And that was God's Plan because WE are now the Temple/Sanctuary where His Sacrifice exists at!

In the events surrounding 70ad, they were instructed "WHEN ye shall SEE Jerusalem COMPASSED with armies"... FLEE THEN... don't wait till you SEE something "SET UP [H5414]" in the holy place (the "AOD [singular/singular]" that "Daniel the prophet" refers to [Dan12:11]! per Jesus in Matt24:15)... hello!
