If what you've just said above is the Gospel, then I've never heard the Gospel before. Below is the True Gospel:
John 3:16-17 KJV - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."
Colossians 2:9-15 NLT - "For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority. When you came to Christ, you were "circumcised," but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision--the cutting away of your sinful nature. For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead. You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross."
If we're "witnessing" and we're not teaching about the Work of Christ, one of which Works is His Spiritual Circumcision . . . then we're not preaching or teaching the actual Bible. Instead, we're teaching (fill in your name, here, gospel). No. We need to acknowledge the Bible and admit that what I have copied and pasted above is the actual Gospel.
But what happens if we believe this True Gospel? What will it mean about the fact that "I" have never been a bigger sinner in my life? What does it mean about me if I never knew that the Sinful Nature was to be cut out and removed by Christ? Ahhh . . . and wouldn't this explain how and why every True Christian should have a Romans 12:2 Transformation story to tell? But who does? Have you been totally Transformed as the Word says will happen for His True Children? Has that happened to you? Have you spoken to anyone who has literally experienced the cutting away of their old Sinful Nature, only to be converted into a "new man"? . . . and what happens to their entire Life because of this sinful excavation? Who has experienced these things?
If "you" want to get to the Heart of the True Gospel, I would highly recommend studying those verses for as long as you can . . . even if a year. And if you do, and you read the Bible in a timeline, chronological order, you will come to know this Gospel like you never imagined. Think about those verses above and try to figure out how they relate to everything you read, beginning with Genesis 1. I promise that if "you" do these things, your entire scope, view, and understanding of the Lord's entire book will totally change. So the challenge is to read of the Gospel that I've posted above, and then read the next day of your daily reading plan (timeline, chronological order). It doesn't matter that we're in the middle of the year; start at day one right now. It'll only take a few minutes to read a few chapters per day, and within those first few minutes, you'll read of the Tree of Life, and that short story will be your first major clue into understanding the Holy and remarkable Doctrine of Circumcision of Heart. And by the way, Circumcision of the Heart is the "Heart" of the entire Bible. It actually is.
