but doesn't the Holy Spirit dwell in us whom is the power of God and we get the whole of him not just parts or percentages??
Well, much could be said, here. First, I don't think the Scriptures say that we get the total sum of God instilled into us. Scirptures do say, however, that we are whole [in Him].

Colossians 2:10 KJV - "And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power . . ."

Yes, the Holy Spirit Indwells True Believers. That means we must be a True Believer in order to receive the True Spirit, which produces a changed Heart, and a changed life. True Believers must know and understand the Circumcision of Christ, for if we do not understand what Christ is supposed to do to our Hearts to produce Holy Salvation, we could never Truly know if we were saved . . . right? So what does Jesus do to a True Believer? He performs a Spiritual Circumcision, the cutting away of the Adamic Curse that renders each person to a path of evil. Jesus cuts this Curse away from our Hearts, and this is True Healing. Any translation will do . . . these are the seven most important verses in the entire Bible.

Colossians 2:9-15 NLT - "For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority. When you came to Christ, you were "circumcised," but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision--the cutting away of your sinful nature. For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead. You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross."

Memorize these verses and the entire Bible will open up before you. But it is also up to you to decide if you think that you have experienced this Holy Operation of Faith. If you have, then it will be proven by a changed life. Paul taught that this changed life is a total Transformation. We read of this Transformation in Romans 12:2. That Transformation can only happen unless the Holy Operation of Faith takes place as described in Colossians 2:9-15.

So yes, the Holy Spirit Indwells a person, but very few have ever experienced such an Indwelling. You know this is True because no one at your church ever talks about their Indwelling or the Transformation story. Remnant . . . remember the Remnant and what that means. There are very, very few True Christians in the world. Think about it: Paul taught that everyone in the Province of Asia had abandoned him. Not one person in the Province of Asia? What about your city, town, or even state? What if Paul said that about the area that you live? This means that no one in Asia was carrying the Holy Spirit within them. That's unbelievable.

It is so hard to wrap your mind around it. How did he empty himself of all knowledge and then have to live by faith knowing the end??
By Choice just like God the Father choosing to forget our sins when we repent.

Isaiah 43:25, ESV
I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.

Hebrews 10:17, NLT
Then he says, “I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.

Isaiah 38:17
Easy-to-Read Version
17 Look, my troubles are gone!
I now have peace.
You love me very much.
You did not let me rot in the grave.
You took my sins
and threw them away.

Isaiah 43:25
Easy-to-Read Version
25 “I, I am the one who wipes away all your sins. I do this to please myself. I will not remember your sins.

Jeremiah 31:34
Easy-to-Read Version
34 People will not have to teach their neighbors and relatives to know the Lord, because all people, from the least important to the most important, will know me.” This message is from the Lord. “I will forgive them for the evil things they did. I will not remember their sins.”

Hebrews 8:12
Easy-to-Read Version
12 And I will forgive the wrongs they have done,
and I will not remember their sins.”

Hebrews 10:16-17
Easy-to-Read Version
16 “This is the agreement[a] I will make
with my people in the future, says the Lord.
I will put my laws in their hearts.
I will write my laws in their minds.”

17 Then he says,

“I will forget their sins
and never again remember the evil they have done.”

Jesus says that only the Father knows when the 2nd coming will happen. I did not know that GOD would hide information from 1/3 of the Trinity. What am I missing here?
what's you're missing is the context of the traditional betrothal process.
it is ancient Hebrew wedding-ceremony language.

the woman accepts the proposal of the man, and the man goes to prepare a place for her in his father's house.
the father sets the day and hour that the son will go to snatch away his bride, to begin the wedding feast.
she purifies herself and waits for him.
if anyone asks the son about when he will come for his bride, he directs questions to the father, saying 'only he knows the day and hour'

it doesn't mean God isn't omniscient.
He is describing salvation as a marriage, that's all.

How do we know that Jesus was even telling the Truth? In another piece of Scripture, we find that Jesus lied to His "brothers" when He told them that He wouldn't be attending a specific festival. However, after his "brothers" left His presence, Jesus attended anyway.

John 7:8, 10 NLT - "You go on. I'm not going to this festival, because my time has not yet come." ... 10 "But after his brothers left for the festival, Jesus also went, though secretly, staying out of public view."
Christ is not a liar.

it was not the time for Him to go with His brothers ((who did not believe Him, v.5)) to the feast of Tabernacles ((v.2))
when they went, it was not the time He should go -- He goes after them.

a good rule of thumb is that anytime you have some interpretation of the Bible that makes God a liar, you have a wrong interpretation.

to understand this we need to know what it means for the Messiah to go with those who reject Him to the festival of booths
- what the festival of booths means, where we live in tents, in remembrance of the wandering in the wilderness after being taken out of Egypt. how it applies to salvation
- what it means for the Son of God to go with unbelievers in their tents

Paul taught that Jesus was the full representation of the Godhead, but only in bodily form. God is so incredibly and utterly Powerful, that the simple Power of God cannot be contained within a human body, and if fact, the human body cannot endure the actual, full presence of God Almighty. Therefore, elements of God must have been removed from Christ, such as the overwhelming Power that IS God. Jesus seemed to be able to live like a normal man, but only because that sense of Raw, Almighty Power would need to have been removed, or at least restricted in some way.

Colossians 2:9-10 NKJV - "For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power."
but it says "all the fullness"

it does not say "
a little bit of the partialness"

That's a pretty serious charge to say Jesus lied. To say He sinned. To say God sinned. You might want to rethink that.

Here's what happened:

Jesus initially didn't plan on going because His time had not yet come. Later, His time came so He decided to go. It's that simple. He isn't lying.

Jesus says that only the Father knows when the 2nd coming will happen. I did not know that GOD would hide information from 1/3 of the Trinity. What am I missing here?
According to Jewish tradition which this was kept with the Galilean sect and practiced the father was the one to announce the wedding day.
The son would go to his father's house and build the addition for him and his bride to be.
Sometimes it would be a year or two untill the father would announce the wedding day.

Jesus said in my father's house are many mansions I go to prepare a place for you so that where I am you will be also.

It would seem that God honors this tradition for reasons of his own. It may have to do with the fulfilment of prophecy leading up to the rapture.
Not only the groom's determination to provide but also the bride's commitment to keep pure and in waiting.
As we see the parable of the ten virgins. All were a sleep but only half were ready to meet the groom.

I don't believe that you are missing anything. It appears from scripture that the Father is the ultimate authority. Jesus has stated that He only does what the Father has shown Him to do. Glad to have you onboard with us. Welcome to CC.

Yeah . . . no. Regardless of the translation, verse 10 uses the word "but" to negate what Jesus said earlier.

John 7:10 KJV - 10 But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret."

As my friend Evmer quoted the KJV, he did not mention verse ten . . . where "but" is used to describe the "secret" that Jesus was keeping hidden. Sorry . . . but this is a total no-brainer. Jesus didn't tell his "brothers" the truth. But this shouldn't surprise us entirely. Why?

Rahab the alleged prostitute lied. David put on an act that he was crazy. Abraham didn't entirely tell the truth (to king Abimelech) about his wife/sister, Sarah, and then there is this story of Jesus not telling the truth.

Why do we have all of these men of Righteous, Holy, and Pure Faith not telling the Truth?

I explained this. "In bodily form." I didn't write it . . . someone a couple thousand years ago did.

Sure. That's why He kept it a secret . . . Jesus told them something other than Truth.

John 7:10 KJV - "But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret."

I would suggest that you rethink your corrections and let the Bible say what it says instead of twisting and turning it to meet your agenda.

Since no one here said it....your a very distracting and rude person...shame on you😕😕😕
Since you gave me the ever-rude red X on my post about Christ not telling the Truth, please copy and paste John 7:10 from your favorite translation, and explain why Jesus kept his "time" a secret. How did Jesus keep His going to the festival a secret? What did He do to accomplish that task? Please quote your favorite translation and explain why it doesn't mean what it clearly says.

This will be interesting . . . to see how you people will twist and turn this one. Unbelievable.

Am I really calling God a liar, or am I just reporting what the Word of God says? I am only relaying what is in the Word. So . . . get off my back.

Go ahead and tell us what your Bible says. Please copy and paste.

Yes you're bluntly calling God a liar in no vague or ambiguous terms.

Your words in post #5 : "In another piece of Scripture, we find that Jesus lied..." -2ndTimothyGroup

or am I just reporting what the Word of God says?
You're reporting what you believe, not what the word of God says. You called God a liar, the word of God says God is not a liar.

This one is easy. Let's guess who's wrong: you or God?

I am only relaying what is in the Word. So . . . get off my back.
You don't know the word of God. You would know that God isn't a liar and wouldn't say that.
