I am almost litterally jumping up and down today! (Well, inside sure feels like I am)
Years a go I knew a lady who could belt this song out. She would sing it at least once a month for Sunday morning/evening services.
This song came to my heart as a reminder one day a few years ago. I searched and searched, and did find some recordings of it, but nothing moved me like when she sang it. I had stopped searching for it, and then today this video popped up on youtube today and I haven't been able (as in, haven't wanted to) to turn it off. So blessed hearing this version.
:) Thanks Lord.

You may feel down and feel like God
Has somehow forgotten
That you are faced with circumstances
That you can't get through
But right now it seems that there's no way out
And you're going under
God's proven time and time again
He'll take care of you

He'll do it again (Oh He'll do it again)
He'll do it again (Yes He will do it again)

If you'll just take a look
At where you are now
And where you've been
Hasn't He always come through for you
He's the same now as then
You may not know how
You may not know when
But He'll do it again

God knows the things that you're going through
And how you're hurting
He understands just how your heart
Has been broken in two
He's the God of the sun, the stars, the sea
He is your Father
He'll calm the storm
He'll find a way and He'll fix it for you
He'll do it again (Oh He'll do it again)
He'll do it again (Yes He will do it again)

Yes He will
Just take a look
At where you are now
And where you've been
Hasn't He always come through for you
He's the same now as then
You may not know how
You may not know when
But He'll do it again
He's still God and He will not fail you
He's still God, He has not changed
I know He's still God and He's fighting for you
Just like Daniel, just like Moses
Just like Shadrach and Meshach, Abednego

He'll do it again, yes He will (Oh He'll do it again)
He'll do it again (Yes He will do it again)
Just take a look
At where you are now
And where you've been
Hasn't He always come through for you
He's the same now as then
You may not know how
You may not know when
But He'll do it again

grace and peace to you, GG

this song, which i was unfamiliar with, reminded me of another, much older song.
i'm old, and when i was growing up and as a young woman in church, we sang hymns because hymns were all that we had. :)

i'm sure you remember in 1 Sam 7, the children of Israel were confronted by the Philistines, and were afraid. they asked Samuel to cry out to the Lord on their behalf, and God gave them victory. Samuel took a stone and set it up calling it Ebenezer saying, Thus far the Lord has helped us. in Hebrew, eben (stone) ezer (help).

in the second stanza of Come Thou Font of Every Blessing, Robert Robinson wrote, "Here I raise my Ebenezer, hither by Thy help I've come."

it's so important for Christians to set up stones in our memories of the times God has helped us, perhaps when we thought no help would come. these memories will aid us in trusting the Lord, and perhaps keep us from despairing. they remind us God loves us, and will always be faithful to us in the future, just as He has been in the past. ♥

anyhoo... that's my old lady story for today, lol.
thank you for the song you posted, and for allowing me to visit your thread. may the Lord bless you and keep you.

Thanks for stopping by.

I spent the day reflecting on this yesterday.
I have read that story to my boys very recently (within the last month or 2) and remember as we were reading the word "Ebenezer' stood out (probably because it was around the time when several Christmas movies about Scrooge were being played/viewed)
Now I remember as I was reading this to them (around bedtime with a zillion things on my mind) the thought came that I had no idea just what that ment and to look it up sometime, BUT as with most thoughts that come to me while in the middle of mootherhood busyness it was forgotten as quickly as it had come and since it was forgotten I never looked into it.

When I was reflecting on this yesterday, the Lord gave me the thought "well, there's your answer"
 "my answer? my answer to what?"
"you wanted to know what Ebenezer in the Bible means, but forgot to look it up...... there you go"

:);)

THAT IS SO AWESOME GG! He is so very good to me as well, and especially, I believe, as we both keep our conversation with Him going all the time. I am reminded of how, "we have not because we ask not", and how your faith walk is so consistent and wonderful.
I have gotten some of those, just last week I had been looking for an item and he directed me to the local Amish area where there is a store, as I was searching the aisles i rounded a corner and as my eyes fell on it I heard Him, "there it is".
Bless you precious sister, in Jesus name.

ahhhh love those moments :)

a few weeks ago we were looking for my camera ( because we don't have a fancy schmancy phone with one built in)
Hubs needed it to get some pics to submit for an item he ordered that came severely damaged so time was of the essence and it had already been a day and half- 2 days since he had asked for it.
Now, I know from to many past experiences that when I know something had been somewhere and insist that it is where it is and should be and start tearing the area up looking for it in frustration that NO GOOD FRUIT comes from doing such. SO I said "let me look around a bit...... think about this, we'll find it" Well I thought about it and realized the last time I had it was getting the kids pics done for the Christmas cards.... wasn't in my purse, or car, or anywhere else that might've been a place it was moved to.
Now this was going on as the basement was "rearranged" with all the big bins of holiday decor, and the area was being rearranged.
He asked about it again and I said "nope, haven't found it yet......" let out a sigh then said "Gee Lord, I really don't know where I put it" Sigh "maybe You just have to literally put it in front of me because I can't for the life of me remember where I put it after getting the pictures done. I'm pretty sure I put it right here back in this spot by the desk where we ALWAYS leave it, but it's not there and I'm ready to give up"
(now keep in mind the kiddos are down there watching tv, but listening- hmmm they actually listen :LOL:;) ) "don't give up mom!!!" (which is what I always tell them :D)
I kid you not...... I no sooner said that, turned around to get some papers off the desk and my eyes zoomed in beeline to the camera :LOL::LOL::LOL: it literally was right there where we always put it (on a little table) it's just that in the processes of moving things around I had moved the little table and forgot I had moved it

HA!!!! LOL! He is so good! I have had that same experience, where he will move my gaze to where it is, and have had him turn my head suddenly to the spot I need to look!
John Wimber, in the video The Kingdom of God on you tube relates how after 35 years of walking with Him God still gives him words of knowledge and direction when people come to him for help finding items. And to think our relationship with Him and His active part in our lives is only going to get better and stronger!
Just yesterday I was at home, I worship through the ministry of JGLM.org, and in the afternoon my phone rang, my insurance company called with an answer to a question I had left on their voicemail, I felt the move of the Spirit within me immediately so in our conversation I asked if she was Spirit filled, she replied in the positive, I immediately spoke a blessing over her and asked, yes she did feel the move of the spirit miles away, we know He works in the quantum realm where there is no space or time and as such he knows the end from the beginning.
Such a blessing to know you GG.
Bless you in Jesus name.

i totally understand the busyness of motherhood (isn't it wonderful? :) )

my husband and i were blessed with six children (yes, intentionally, lol), and we homeschooled! there was always somewhat of a distraction to my thoughts, so i really get it. :)

but here we are speaking of God's faithfulness to His children, and He displays this faithfulness to us both.
i hope you won't mind if i raise an Ebenezer to His goodness in your lovely story.

our kids are long grown now. our oldest is almost 40, and "the baby" is 26. the time goes by so quickly, doesn't it?
then, if you're very blessed, you get the grandbabies. my sister and i joke that we don't know why people have kids... we oughta skip to the grandkids. ;)

you sound like a terrific mom! i know that's not easy, too, yet here you are being given grace to be a wonderful mother. God bless you and your family. ♥

I've been waking up with a different song in my mind almost everyday forthe past week or two.
Today was this one, so I pulled it up and first found the story behind the song.

followed by the song:

Lord, You seem so far away
A million miles or more,
It feels today
And though I haven't lost my faith
I must confess right now
That it's hard for me to pray

But I don't know what to say
And I don't know where to start
But as You give the grace
With all that's in my heart

I will sing,
I will praise,
Even in my darkest hour
Through the sorrow and the pain
I will sing,
I will praise,
Lift my hands to honor You
Because Your word is true,

I will sing

Lord it's hard for me to see
All the thoughts and plans
You have for me

Yes it is
But I will put my trust in You
Knowing that you died
To set me free

Oh thank God You did

But I don't know what to say
And I don't know where to start
But as you give the grace
With all that's in my heart

I will sing,
I will praise,
Even in my darkest hour
Through the sorrow and the pain
I will sing,
I will praise,
Lift my hands to honor You
Because Your word is true

I will sing,
I will praise,
Even in my darkest hour
Through the sorrow and the pain
I will sing,
I will praise,
Lift my hands to honor You
Because Your word is true,

I will sing, I will sing, I will sing

Wife life and mom life..............
Have you ever been driving a vehicle at a kazillion miles an hour with no brakes?
Me neither, but I imagine that it probably would feel similar.

It's been a crazy 2 1/2 -3 weeks, but I think things are finally starting to slow down ( a little).
