At least one person thinks nonsense is funny. And in fact it is. At the same time a lot of the nonsense that is coming from the powers that be is far from funny. It is lethal. That's just nonsensical.

John 14:26
But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.
We were not back then to have Jesus us tell us anything in person. In context Jesus is speaking only to the apostles, not to us today.
This is exactly my understanding too.If you put Jesus' words in your mind by reading Scripture, the Holy Spirit will bring relevant parts to your attention at appropriate times.
The Rolls of the Holy Spirit?Rolls oops
Micah 6:8
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require
of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
What scripture do you think says "one has to only receive"? Jesus's sacrifice was to pay for the sins of those that his Father gave him John 6:37. His sacrifice was an offering to God, for God's acceptance, not to man, for man's acceptance.Your point I am not sure Jesus died for all sins " it is Finished " is a term in the Greek translation that means all debt is paid in full
Past, Present, and Future debt are paid for, one has to only receive freely by Grace through faith.
man must accept Jesus by faith and receive the gift of Eternal lifeWhat scripture do you think says "one has to only receive"? To keep the scripture in context, we have to consider what people Micah is referring to when he said, What doeth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God". It tells us who he is talking to in verse 3-4, and that is; HIS PEOPLE, that he brought up out of the land of Egypt. He is not referencing all mankind.Micah 6:8
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
And what scripture are you basing that on? Is this something that man has taught you?man must accept Jesus by faith and receive the gift of Eternal life
And what scripture are you basing that on? Is this something that man has taught you?

The apostles and prophets are the foundations. But the church is far bigger than just the foundations. People receive revelation from God, enabled by the Holy Spirit, 2,000 years after the apostles time. We need revelation. It's like spiritual manna, it needs to be fresh every day. Lord Jesus is the Word of God and He is the Bread of Heaven.Thats may be true. But it is still a different to that what Jesus special revealed to the apostles.
What things are you referring to?Everything written in the bible is meant for us to read and understand. Only the things not found in the bible was not meant for the other generations of Christians.

John 20:29 "Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”"And what scripture are you basing that on? Is this something that man has taught you?
Hello TheLearner,
The Lord told the apostles His words while being in their presence, where everyone afterwards read those same words. So, we are not misapplying the text when we say that the scripture is indeed to everyone. As we study the word of God, He brings to our remembrance all of those things that He has told us (in His word) and the Holy Spirit reveals the things yet to come. That is unless you think that the Lord's word is only for those He told in person?
"But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come."

Revelation never contradicts the written word. But the written word is useless without revelation.
