Yes!! We can have freedom! But not everyone gets there at the same time. Some will come to the Lord and never take a drink, a smoke, fail in sexual sin ever again. For others it takes baby steps. For others there are things in their past that may hold them back, or any number of other reasons. In these cases it's up to us to pray for, no intercede for, people who are struggling until they get the victory. Sexual issues are far harder for the person to overcome. Nothing is impossible for God. That's not the point. It's how soon we take hold of His grace and mercy. Which I don't see a lot of being preached here. Remember the old song we use to sing "Just as I Am?" I'm glad you were set free, but not everyone has the same experience you do.

as is said, while we were yet sinners Christ died for us, if he died for us as sinners, and saves us as sinners, i do not comprehend how we could somehow sin worse than before salvation to the point we lose salvation

and I agreed with your post many posts ago if you remember. Yes, sexual are harder to overcome and even harder if you continue to identify with the sin instead of Christ. Yes, Jesus takes us just as we are but HE changes us. I'm sorry you don't see a lot being preached here what I do see are gay activists trolling the site. the guy is forty years old not 15 or 25.

I have been in prison ministries and visit them often. I have seen many ex-gays come out of sexual addictions as I have seen those who were bound by porn and many other things. Maybe you should do prison ministry as you seem to suggest you know of it.

I can, I grew up in that church, it affected my christian life and made me hate the church, I left god and the church for 5 years and still have anger for the legalism that almost destroyed me

This is what makes them mad (or glad?) when the see words like this they go crazy and attack, they can’t believe their ears. They forget david and bathseba and her husband (adultry and murder) they forget paul and Peter, and abraham, and all these sinners who are called by God as his children

of course we have to remember too, these people did confess and they did admit their sin before God, they did not go out and spit in Gods face and say I do not care what you think agod I am gonna live my life as I please (licentiousness) and they sought help
