I wonder how our God looks at people so against scripture telling us what sin is.
virtue signaling again then? I am surprised you need scripture to tell you what sin is

Christians have the Holy Spirit indwelling them, so we should be well aware of the snare(s) of sin and we have the NT to study in case we are still not convinced

a good foundational study of the OT is highly recommended as well...especially if people have a tendency towards legalism...according to the NT, you are under a curse if you try to keep or live by the law

the book of Galatians in the NT relates to us an entire congregation that fell into the trap of thinking they needed to add to salvation through Christ alone

in this verse. Galatians 5:1, Paul says trying to obey the law is slavery

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

So Paul actually says to stand against the entrapment of thinking the law will save you or add to your salvation.

I would suggest reading the entire book of Galatians to get the full picture. It's a short book.

I'm tired of standing up for the law against all these put downs of Gods law. Would you change from disagreeing with this "Blik" to disagreeing with David for it is David that told Blik about the law. He speaks of it in the 119th Psalm most eloquently, do point out to David you are sure he is wrong to give us that psalm.
I like Psalm 119. It is a long one for sure.

We are tired of you trying to push law on people to whome the law was not given. and trying to tell them this is the means in whish we find moral guidance

WHAT put-downs of God's law? Quote even ONE of them.

You won't, of course, because you would rather make blanket accusations that don't address any person's actual words. As long as you don't quote anyone, you can't be held responsible for lying. The problem is that your duplicity and hyprocisy are evident to everyone. .

why would you stand up for the law when God Himself knows we cannot keep it and has provided us with the most perfect and eternal solution to our sin 'problem'

if you really are tired of 'standing up for the law', why don't you put it down and relax and enjoy the salvation God has provided in place of the law? Do you actually think people are not aware of sin? Do you actually think that?

Sadly though, I am not at all convinced you will stop your 'standing up'. I don't really think you are tired of it all because you continually create threads about it and accuse and judge and moan and groan at the responses you receive in those threads. David never met Jesus Blik, but he at last knows his Savior now. YOU, on the other hand, say you know Jesus. We are told that even the angels long to look into the salvation we have been given through the grace of God.

David wrote of what he knew. We now know so much more than he did. David also committed murder by proxy so he broke the entire law he wrote about and was condemned for it. The Bible says the sword never left his house and his children broke his heart.

Romans 8:3 — King James Version (KJV 1900)
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

so above is the KJV but I like the NIV below. I find it more eloquent in its expression, so I added that one as well.

Romans 8:3 — New Living Translation (NLT)
3 The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins.

ps: (I'm not really even posting this for your benefit Blik because God knows, many of us have tried repeatedly to help you see the error in your belief about the law AND your false accusations against us in which you try to indicate we like to sin.)

Paul would not want us to be slaves, do you think Paul was teaching us not to obey the law so we would not be enslaved?

You speak of knowing scripture so you know the mind of God, yet much of what is said is against scripture.

To be in tune with scripture there would not be all this ------ about how TEEERRRIBBLE it is to try to obey the law.

To be clear, I do think Islam is part of Gods design... it could not be so popular without this

For me, they are of Hagar

Those with the Spirit are of Sarah

Judaism is Abraham

Do you actually think we should scold the Lord for creating our earth with law because we cannot keep it? Does our not being able to keep the law contaminate the law itself?

Scripture tells us the law is holy and it is good, and I am dragged through the mud for repeating what scripture tells us. Most posts try to make law keeping part of salvation when scripture tells us they are separate from each other. There is no post that say do not keep the law, thank heavens, but they come close to this, and they usually relate this keeping or not keeping law to salvation even though scripture tells us they are apart from each other. There seems to be no common sense.

sounds like some kind of mashup between Christianity and what Muslims believe IMO
I will say I apply 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 to the trinity

Yes, they are different parts, but divinity is one

I have also said Jesus having Ruh Allah makes him emmanuel

Thus asserting the Sunni and Shi'a wrong in their rejection of this

Yet, most Christians are essentially carrying the same, just making an exception for Christ

We are to be Christ's body, no exception should be there

He has given us grace, he is our Rabbi... that is the only difference between him and us

Unless he has not, in which case you're basically the same as them

This is why I bring in Islam though...

Most Christians are against Sharia naturally...

Yet, it just means law

They are actually much closer to the words of the Torah than Jews, but it is plain that is bad

Galatians says the law was there to prepare us for Christ

If you are not in the Spirit you need rules, structure

Is this the only time that you have found scripture speaking of law? In my bible there are many passages about law, each passage truth of the Lord, not just this one truth. All must be read and accepted if we accept the Lord with faith in Him.

Galatians is the oldest Christian text and says anything contrary to it is cursed
