OK, I wish I could remember where I heard this story.. probably from The Blaze which is kind enough to send me news emails... but anyhow, I heard that the governor cut the paychecks or was planning on doing so of democrats who walked out of the building because they didn't like.. i think it was a bill concerning illegals..

YES

I love the governor of TX

Ron DeSantis is awesome too! Stand up to the bullies

Whoever Glenn put in charge of daily delivery from the Blaze should be given a bonus. They pick the right mix of articles, arrange them well, and slap on an awesome subject line.

They put a lot of thought into their work.

yes, and there isn't a big price tag on it... Sure, it doesn't go into a lot of detail... but with all that's going on these days... not many have time for details.. Hopefully, those paid to provide necessary details are doing so..

But in the end, only God knows the whole story..

which is why we talk to Him

btw Jesus said "No one comes to the Father except through Me"

The bill I think was the one over "voter restrictions" they walked out on not the one your thinking. And not that I am a fan of the Dem's nor the Rep's that are in charge now both seem to be running Texas down(crime rate, pot holes everywhere ect.) ,,,

Just to step back a bit and look at this "news" though whether it's a Democrat or a republican(Abbott) saying or doing this do we(Texans) really want a Governor(or state officials) threatening it's citizens over who, what or how they did or didn't vote? If we turn this around and a Democrat was threatening to punish(withhold pay) because of what someone voted for or is against then we would not agree with being forced to vote a certain way(or not at all). I think it's just become normal to choose a side and defend it regardless of whether it's right or wrong because this is wrong regardless of which side is doing it because it takes away your voting rights.

At times we go "oh boy" when they say or do something without really thinking it through. An example is the constitutional carry law beginning September 1,2021. Everyone goes "yea!!!!" but it's because it hasn't yet dawned on them that an officer has the right to insure his safety and so he no longer needs your permission to search your car(trunk, glove box ect.) whether you say your armed or not.

Anyway though I'm an old man and don't drive much so the pot holes don't bother me like they used too and it don't bother me about getting pulled over(don't drive,,lol) but other things do. My son(one of five) came to my house yesterday and when he was leaving I walked him and his wife out to the gate(rare day I could do this). Anyway while we were standing at the gate a City Marshal drove by and so I smiled and waved and he gave us a glare(real mean) and never waved back, just drove by real slow staring. To me what he did was offensive but to my son it was normal. Mind you now I live in a red county where everything is red on election day it was the early 90's the last time a Democrat won anything. Is this really the new normal where we all complain about the other side and ignore the mistreatment and dis-function of the side we support? Are we really narrowed down to this where no one can see the problem but the old people in their 80's?
