One can apply several terms to mental aberrations, including these as well as perversions, sickness, disability. etc. It makes no different. They all arise from the sin nature and that is why Jesus said "Ye MUST be born again!" That is an imperative. Without the New Birth, there is no new creature, and without a new creature, there is no righteousness.

According to Romans 1, people went into the sin of homosexuality because (1) they failed to acknowledge God as the Creator, and (2) they began to worship creatures such as animals, birds, and reptiles. Thus their minds were corrupted and darkened, and that led to sexual perversions. And only God can deliver anyone from this darkness.
And satan is further blinding this world with all the pride and lgbtqxrz, and how society as a whole ought to embrace it and accept is as the new 'norm'. Children as young as 4 and 5 identifying as opposite genders, or as a 'pronoun', and parents encouraging and even proud of it. It is perversion, and sin. This country, and the world as a whole, is in a/the great falling away. Am constantly praying for this world, and this country. Lift up your heads...redemption draweth nigh.

God is Judge of all
We can not cast any stones because we have all sinned and come short of the Glory of God.
But sin is defined. The Bible clearly states that Homosexuality is sin.
God loves us as sinners and died for all sinners but our love for God results in change.
Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Col 3:10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

Agree completely, but just for clarification:
I don't think that anybody is suggesting that homosexuality is not a sin. Generally I think we're discussing how to deal with it as a community.

People are quick to throw stones, even though Jesus told us not to.

It doesn't matter what you believe, it matters what the Word says, and it says it's wrong.
Read all of isaiah 55 you will find my pos is righ and yours is wrong. god says to man

I believe that the way many churches and Christians approach the issue of homosexuality is unbiblical.

Churches market themselves as offering unconditional love.
However, all too often they use a bait and switch tactic whereby they offer unconditional love to tempt people in and yet once 'captured', it is discovered that this love and acceptance is conditional on the newcomer changing in whichever way the church 'elders' dictate they should change.
If the church member doesn't change, they may find that they are not included in ways that they were before.

This is manipulation and spiritual abuse, and is absolutely not the kind of unconditional love offered by Jesus.

Before anybody says that homosexuality is forbidden by the Bible and that I'm "ignoring scripture"...
Prostitution is also forbidden in the Bible, and we all know how Jesus asked people not to throw stones and cast judgement.

You see, Jesus uses love to define scripture, and yet humans use scripture to define love.

Jesus reached out to the marginalised, and yet we reach out to condemn.
Perhaps it's in our fallen nature to want to play God?

Lastly, the reason I'm sticking up for homosexuals and using them as an example here is not because I'm gay myself, just as the reason why I'm against racism is not because I am black.
You obviously do not know God's ways. God saves people from the power of sin, not just from the penalty of sin. My beef with the homosexual lobby is that they refuse to acknowledge that their lifestyle is sin. I had a good friend who was gay. He ended up dying of AIDS. He was one the most creative and talented people I have ever met. It's just a waste of a life.

For the Christian, homosexuality is one of the sins that disqualifies people from inheriting the kingdom of God. That truth was reasserted by the same apostle who said that love is the greatest attribute. It is not love to condone sin. Lord Jesus told the adulteress, "Go and sin no more."

I am the opposite of a legalist. I know how hard some sins can be to overcome. When I'm witnessing, I do not bring up the subject of sexuality unless asked. People need to know that God has judged them worthy of death. But God also commands people to repent (Acts 17:30). Why? Because God requires righteous living, because He knows that His ways are far superior to our ways. He requires this out of His love for us. What is better, to pass food and water down to a man trapped in a well or to pull him out and set him free?

The problem most people have is that they do not know God or His ways and they do not accept that His ways are better. From Romans 1 we can see that homosexuality is the ultimate form of rebellion. Those who reject God's judgement condemn themselves. We should go all out to help those who do accept God's judgement and set them free from their bondage. It is possible. One of Satan's great lies is that homosexuality is a compulsion that cannot be overcome.

That has literally nothing to do with the subject at hand. smh I've never seen people twist Scripture out of proportion as I have here at CC. It has literally nothing to do with the topic. The Bible says marriage is between a man and a woman. But that being said, gays are not beyond God's reach. The church needs to find a way to reach out to this generation because so far, we are failing, miserably. In fact, we can't even keep our own youth in the church. There has to be a dynamic way to reach this generation.

Agreed. iaiah says man is talking to God and says to God kill the sinner. God says
i will not kill the sinner i will love the sinner until he is good. God says to man
your way is not my way, my way is higher than your way…in other words, God is saying
i will tell you what to do, you dont tell me what to do. by the way, i am not gay
either while at the same time i strongly believe that being gay is not a sin.
we are all born differently no bodiies are xactly alike.
God does not create homosexuals. Read Romans 1. It's as clear as day where homosexuality comes from. It's result of wilful rebellion against God.

A lot of people have the tendency to believe what makes them comfortable. The pity is, the new age, humanist false doctrine is creeping into traditional churches now and it seems on internet forums as well.

What are you even talking about?! Where have I judged anyone? Do you people even read, or you just respond out the top of your head?! Man, I'm just so tired of people yapping to hear their own opinions and hear themselves talk. @ Mark if you feel I have been judging you feel free to say so. But I'm pretty sure he and I are good. So maybe butt out when you don't know what you're talking about.

I think that we’re all sinners homosexuals also liars also adulterers ect we all have sins that Gods willing to forgive , the condition is repentance

a liar has to stop lying because they don’t want to serve thier flesh will and desire

The same for homosexuals they have to repent of thier sin also rather than trying to use Jesus to condone and accept thier sin with the person

now , the worldly argument is “ that’s just how they were born not thier fault”

the biblical argument is “ Satan is the root of our sinful desires that oppose Gods will and desire for us that’s good and right

we shouldn’t think a homosexual is worse than even a liar , but we have to acknowledge the truth and come to repentance either way no matter what our particular sins and struggles are we don’t get to change what God said is an abomination and will send them to hell and condone it based on the worlds sympathy and decision that it’s normal and acceptable

no Christian should try to judge and forbid a homosexual from coming to Jesus , but we also oils never explain that what hey are doing is approved by God in fact we are told to tell the truth about sin so they know to repent

the problem is that the world has all these ideas about right and wrong , and then God the creator has all these other ideas that he says ok give eternal
Life and the worlds ways will lead to eternal damnation

every man is free to choose Thier own lists and desires and live a good life on earth depending on what they do

then the Bible explains that we all have to be judged according to what God said after we die, for the way we lived our life. Did we lie and cheat and steal our way through ? Did we consider ourselves high and look down on other sinners we didn’t approve of ? Did we love Tom please our own desires that God tells us will lead to damnation ? Or did we ever acknowledge the truth and repent and escape the devils deception in the world that tells us Gods word doesn’t apply anymore

“And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2:24-26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it’s okay to acknowledge we’re sinners , it’s not okay to condone and continue in those sins were made aware of is the thing it’s asensetive thing to the world but not even a question about this to God it’s another thing man needs to come to repentance for like Dodson and Gomorrah never did

1 but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. 2 Early in the morning he came again to the temple. All the people came to him, and he sat down and taught them. 3 The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery, and placing her in the midst 4 they said to him, “Teacher, this woman has been caught in the act of adultery. 5 Now in the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do you say?” 6 This they said to test him, that they might have some charge to bring against him. Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground. 7 And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.” 8 And once more he bent down and wrote on the ground. 9 But when they heard it, they went away one by one, beginning with the older ones, and Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before him. 10 Jesus stood up and said to her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” 11 She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more.

Did you forget that last part where he told her to go and sin no more??

that is the false narrative and sound bites of the ideology of homosexuality, they want anyone who speaks the truth that is in direct opposition Biblically to be label " judgment". If a person says to the GAY MAN " The Bible tells us that man should not lay with a man as he does a woman" Did God mean that? " " STOP JUDGING ME!!!"

Like a spoiled child screaming " mine, mine, mine". The sad thing is if you read what these " Christians " say they act like they have moral superiority over all other Christians and show the love of God by accommodating the sin.
Those who do this and say " I'm not gay " but we should not judge them have been Bamboozled, by the false narrative.

Why?

1. they are gay and suffering from the torment of it
2. have a family member who is gay and can't deal with the truth those who practice such things are not saved and eternally lost if they don't repent.
3. can't handle the persecution from those extreme political types who sue, bakers, fire those, and boycott anyone who stands up for what the word of God actually says.

Your answer shows that you have zero understanding of who we are.

I'm gay. It's not self serving and I most definitely would never ever in a thousand years chosen to be like this and scorned by so many. It's just a thing that happens to some people. I asked God to take it away. Many times. And he didn't.

I listened to the judgement of men and ran away. Far away. And then God came looking for me. I pray in tongues, I hear and see in the spirit, I love Jesus and the Trinity.

What was that you were saying about the two not coexisting again?

Your words does not make it a fact.
Repent.

I'm 47 years old. I'm not new on the block and I have literally tried everything to find peace in my life.

That night I walked into the confessional and repented of being gay ....

Had I been told that God forgives me and he wants to help me move toward a more holy life I wouldn't have turned away. But instead I was told there is no absolution for a person like me. That I must not partake of the of our holiest of sacraments anymore.

So, yes I did make the choice to walk away. What else was in suposed to do when the door of salvation was slammed shut in my face by a human passing judgement on me?
Salvation door is shut for any of us who fail to follow God's commandments.....what makes you so special?

The world has gotten to where homosexuality is not just accepted but celebrated. This not only condemns gay people but is just more ammunition for the government to use against christians. The liberals crying for commumion is another front. California denying worship due to the covid farce is another example. @ Mark47Oz. You know what scripture says. The choice is yours.
