Nothing can occur in nature without an instruction set, any more than a cat wandering around on a keyboard (as mine does sometimes) will produce an app. God placed genetic codes into His creation that determines what that creature will be. My understanding is that a vast array of codes were placed in the initial creatures. So, for example, Adam incorporated every race in his genetic makeup.

If the genetics are close enough, a certain degree of mix and match can occur, such as "ligers". Mules are a result of cross breeding donkeys and horses. However, few of the hybrids are fertile and cross breeding is still the best way to produce mules.

No one even thinks of crossing a whale with a penguin. Obviously they are not sufficiently alike. Speciation occurs when a particular variation is better suited to its environment. The pepper moth was once touted as evidence for evolution. It seemed to change from a light to a dark colour. However, when its environment changed, the light version of the moth became predominant once more. As the background became lighter once more, so the dark moth became more visible to predators.

Hard to know with giants. Goliath almost certainly had a thyroid problem, which is the usual cause of giantism. In reality, David was in little danger from Goliath, as long as he did not get too close. A sling and stone was the ancient equivalent of a rifle, up against a spear and a sword. David had 5 stones, just in case. He only needed one.
You've already been asked this but you've not answered. How could there have been either a morning or an evening before the Sun was created?

OK I'm not sure how my thread about evolution has come on to circumcision, and I don't fancy reading through 16 pages of content to find out.

You're right, it's your thread and I will defer to you as your guest here.
No, feel free to talk about what you like :) I'm not trying to take control of the thread.
I guess I'm just unsure how circumcision in relevant to evolution.

I don't like talking about circumcision very much, it makes my eyes water. But, unfortunately, sometimes I have to bite the bullet.

God's rest is eternal. The work was finished. It was then man's responsibility to carry out God's will. Of course, Adam blew it and Lord Jesus had to step in to become the Last Adam.
Do you actually think that God's plans changed when Adam ate the "apple"?
Do you think that God doesn't want us to have the knowledge of good and evil?
Of course they didn't change, this was His plan all along. Adam was sent to do what he did which was God's will. How can any of it make any sense otherwise? Adam was the first man, not the first human.

Given that Eve was formed from Adam, how could Adam not be the first human?
I don't see the issue. Eve was the first woman. Before that mankind was just male and female. So obviously there is a difference between being merely a human animal and a man or woman.

A woman is a female (adult) human. A man is a male (adult) human. These matters are definitional and fundamental.

You can read about it yourself. Mankind was created in Genesis 1, Adam and Eve were created in Genesis 2.
I disagree. God gave a general overview of creation, including the creation of humankind (adam), in chapter 1, and a specific and detailed account of the creation of the first of mankind, male, and then female, in chapter 2.

And He did all that in one literal 24 hour day?

He created humankind on the sixth day. Eve was part of the plan, and was created "within" Adam. There is no need for everything described in chapter 2 to have taken place on the sixth day.

When you say humankind do you mean Adam and Eve? If so do you accept that they were individuals i.e. a single man and a single woman? Which bit of chapter 2 did not have to take place on the sixth day bearing in mind that chapter one clearly states that God made them male and female? I would say that, at a minimum, God would have had to
  1. form Adam from dust and given him life
  2. plant the garden of Eden and put Adam in it
  3. make all the trees grow in the garden
  4. make all the animals and birds and bring them to Adam to name
  5. put Adam to sleep, took one of his ribs, and made Eve
